Does anyone know if the fuel pump from '96 d21 vg30 can be mounted externally from the tank? I want to remove the stock tank and replace it with a small tank. Probably a 5 gallon one from a boat. It will be for use around the farm not on the road. I won't need the gauge and was hoping I could just extend the pick up line from the stock pump mounted externally to a new tank with just the pick up mounted in it..

Have to give you credit, you've kept at it! Can you pressure wash the motor then run it to help see where fresh oil is coming from? Stay away from all electrical ie. distributor, starter, fuse boxes etc.? Still waiting for this (overdue) baby to be born. -
Mine is the overdrive not the converter.

I used to worry about mine on cold mornings (-20F up to 0) because it seemed to take so long to shift but it is temp. variable when it does it hit O.D. Does yours have a O.D. switch? If you turn it off for loads or hills it won't keep switching on and off. Mine runs at about 2500rpm till it hits the "right temp" then it's 2000rpm at 58mph all day long.

Sounds like a silent alarm to me. Sorry just kidding but if you can find where it's tied in it should be easy enough to remove and hook the original wires back together.
-
Was it a silent alarm? If it was a theft alarm, it doesn't sound like it was working anyway.

Just gotta ask...who throws the ball for your dog? Can't read it. Mine jumps when I type SQUIRREL!!! There she goes....

So what does the wife think about a comment like that? -
I scrubbed the windows down with snowballs to clean off some of the mud and salt.

Maybe in 20 years we'll be running around the wood in them.

Courtesyparts.com has great diagrams down to every nut and bolt. I don't know how the prices compare though.

Has anyone checked out the new Nissan Cube? Now there's a looker. A white one would match my stove.

My can of WD says " stop squeaks-protects metal-loosens rusted parts-frees sticky mechanisms" on the front and "lubricates, cleans, protects, penetrates, and displaces moisture" on the back. I wouldn't depend on it as a rust penetrant though. Better stuff available.

I'll pass on the DeLorean. I had to do some minor bodywork around the read wheel wells and fender lips when I got the truck and I don't mind doing some more come warmer weather. It's funny how the doors are spotless but I have a hole rusted through the hood. The front fenders are goners thought. All and all not to bad for 16 years old.

I don't mind the luxury (in '98) stuff mine came with. But I also don't mind hosing out the back when the dog get a little sea sick back there, after all it is my work and play truck. I'd gladly trade my carbon fiber dash trim for some exterior sheet metal that wasn't bio-degradable though.

The final word on using "the final word" in a topic title.

O.K. I have no idea what you guys are talking about so I finely give up trying to figure it out. -
I was just wondering if your wife knows that you posted her weight on line? Yikes.

Ha, I didn't notice that but still a good pic.

Anyone ever removed their doors for @!*%s and grins?
kdj replied to PrestonBurns's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Heavy Yes It is if you have to. I know where all the plugs are but I wouldn't take one off for @!*%s and grins is all I was saying. Yes there are plugs. Easy to get to no.
