  1. no emission or safety testing down here !
  2. That looks like the stock fender well liner that is torn
  3. Replaced fuel pressure regulator hose and put vacuum hose inside the door weather stripping to see if it helps with the wind noise, haven't driven the truck yet to confirm this.
  4. Today, replaced the air filter, cap, rotor, plug wires, now am working on the fuel pressure regulator hose.
  5. Are the stock shocks gas charged or something? why would it not compress? old age was it just stuck extended? I would have wacked the bottom of the shock from the back until it came out of the mounting tabs, than it should have given you enough room to remove the top.
  6. The bolt you are using may be tight but the two shock tabs need to be squeezing against the shock, you need to get a shorter bolt is what kingman is saying. If you think the threads on the welded on nut are messed up and don't have a tap to clean the threads, you could just cut the nut off and use a normal nut. Over time from people replacing shocks ( you should not have had this problem as your shocks were still stock) the tabs can get bent and when you go to put the bolt back in it may not line up perfectly with the nut, that would cause the bolt to not thread into the nut correctly and would damage the nut threads ( and possibly the bolt too)
  7. I would have just cut the top off from the start, especially if I saw all that rust, your not going to re-use them anyway. My shocks are the original adjustable and still work perfect!
  8. See if you can find those battery terminals that I bought, someone up there must sell them.
  9. if you get caught, as far as I know it was like that when I bought the car !!
  10. they say the sentra ( my style B12) has like no power in 5th gear, and the Euro cam really helps it out but just removing my cat, I can drive 35 MPH in 5th no bogging or anything and the car pulls much better now.
  11. He tried a second gauge cluster already and it did the same thing. I took this pic earlier when we were talking to show Adam where my temp sits, I have a 170 degree thermostat, this is about how hot my temp gauge runs all the time:
  12. the MPG was more than I thought it would be, guess it just seems so crappy being used to my sentra that gets 29-30
  13. I got pulled over in my old hardbody doing over 100 back home and cop let me go with a "slow down", lol
  14. Just filled my truck up, it wasn't empty But wife said to fill it as we will be doing some driving today. Drove 217.2 miles, truck took 13.337 gallons to fill, works out to 16.3 MPG Going to replace the air filter, plug wires, cap and rotor tomorrow and next full up will see if that improves the MPG
  15. Didn't want to copy someone Else's pictures so see this link, 1995 SE 4x4 original window sticker $31K: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/30745-1995-se-4x4-original-window-sticker/
  16. "He has an WD21, front locker would have no effect on the road in 2wd." That's true, My mistake I just woke up ! LOL Mike do you know if your rear axle has the LSD (limited slip) sticker on the rear axle?
  17. these are what was available after 1993 as far as the packages and their contents:
  18. manual hubs won't effect both front tires from turning together, if the diff is still a limited slip of some kind, you would need a locker in the front for both tires to drive all the time, a full time locker would raise hell when turning and driving on the road so either an ARB air locker or some other type would be better.
  19. I think when I was doing 70MPH the other day the RPM's were right at 2500, may have been 2700 can't recall.
  20. you probably only need the latch part right?
  21. too early to do conversions LOL
  22. sounds like something internal broke, you may be able to move the mechanism by going under the handle with a scribe or similar tool .
  23. Did you try the key? Try pushing in on the glove box while pulling on the latch.
  24. I was watching a show some of you may have seen "Wheeler Dealers", one episode they had a car that was leaking and the mechanic Edd used a smoke machine to fill the interior up with smoke in order to see where the leak was, he found it at one of the doors and spoke to I think it was a dealer tech on how they usually fix this ( instead of replacing the weather stripping). He said sometimes they can cut a small slit in the rubber and insert a length of rubber hose which pushes the weatherstripping back into shape, he did it and it worked. Was wondering if I could do that on my PF so today I looked t the weatherstripping around the front door and in places it looks collapsed but I found out it is hollow, so think I'm going to pick up some small diameter vacuum line and give it a try. Anyone ever tried this or seen it done?
