  1. I like Moog for suspension/steering parts, Beck Arnley as far as engine, starter, ignition parts is very close to OEM
  2. Your Welcome !! Look to see if there is a wire coming out of the front shocks. ( for the adjustable shocks)
  3. Going to use 5W30 when I change it Saturday.
  4. Any upper control arms for the D21 will fit the WD21, Think the torsion bars are different lengths though Rear as you said is different
  5. Don't remember the name but it was sold specifically to repair gas tanks May have been this one, http://www.permatex.com/products-2/product-categories/specialized-maintenance-repair/professional-repair-systems/permatex-fuel-tank-repair-kit-detail
  6. I fixed a hole one time in my old hardbody gas tank after I broke one of the add-a-leaf springs and it went into the tank, I used that 2 part putty they sell, never had a problem with the hole after the putty.
  7. Here is what your Vin number revealed: Model number that comes up from entering the Vin number decodes as follows: Model number - VHLYD21DPKBN33 V = VAN H = VG30 ENGINE L = LEFT HAND DRIVE Y = 4WD SHORT BODY D21 = MODEL D = 4 DOOR P = SE TRIM K = 4 SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLOOR SHIFT B = EGI N = CANADA 33 = PACKAGE 30,31 AND 32 30 = AM/FM 4 SPEAKER ELECTRIC CASSETTE RADIO 31 = 30 AND SPORTS PACK (SUNROOF, ALLOY WHEEL, 31-10.50R15 TIRE REAR SPARE TIRE HANGER, ADJUSTABLE SHOCK ABSORBERS, LIMITED SLIP DIFF REAR DISC BRAKES) 32 = 30 AND POWER PACK ( POWER WINDOW, AUTO DOOR LOCK, ELECTRIC OUTSIDE MIRROR)
  8. There is no CA or other area engine , only the catalytic converter is different for CA (and NY I guess now), but that would apply to a replacement one. Just if you go on rockauto pull up US models, and your year and pathfinder, If the engine was just replaced with a JDM engine, you may not have the EGR temp sensor as I said and that is why you are getting the code for it.
  9. Yes order the parts based on the US model, the EGR temp sensor I posted the link to is the only part that comes up for a 94 pathfinder,
  10. I just went out and took some pics of the EGR temp sensor, make sure this is the temp sensor that was replaced, and not one of the 2 temp sensors for the water temp, pics below: first pic shows the EGR temp sensor screwed into the bottom of the EGR valve, you can see the black wire coming out of it: second picture shows the grey plug where it plugs in:
  11. The JDM engine will have the EGR system, but it may not have the EGR temp sensor as I said, my JDM engine did not come with it, look in the area I posted when you can you will probably find a connector with a grey plug in it with no wires, basically it just fills the plug so nothing can get into it, If someone swapped the engines for you, most likely they missed it as my mechanic did, The EGR temp sensor is screwed into the EGR valve, this is the best I can do for you at the moment, I could take a pic of it tomorrow if you still can't find the plug:
  12. What code are you getting for detonation sensor? Do not see that listed in the fsm, see below: OK, Yes the Oxygen sensor will trigger a code, you should replace it anyway if you don;t know when it was replaced last. You can order parts for the US model, they are the same engine wise, make sure the O2 sensor is plugged in before you order one, the plug is on the pass. side behind the battery.
  13. Here you go: the model number decodes as follows, usually after the model number there is a number which would indicate a package, yours is an SE so it has the normal SE options but some trucks also have additional packages, example an SE can have the off road package ( like my 94) I guess yours only has the SE options: WHLYD21DPKBV W = WAGON H = VG30 ENGINE L = LEFT HAND DRIVE Y = 4WD SHORT BODY D21 - CAR MODEL D = 4 DOOR P = SE TYPE K = 4 SPEED FLOOR SHIFT AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION B = EGI V = CALIFORNIA
  14. PM me the Vin number and I will look it up in FAST and PM you all the information
  15. Drove mine to the store to pick up dinner and back, that is all.
  16. sensor should look like this: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=944830&cc=1211960 Detonation sensor? Never heard of that one and don't see a code for it in the factory service manual, which you can and should download from here for free, see this link: http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Pathfinder/1994_Pathfinder/ WELCOME TO NPORA !!!
  17. PM me the Vin number I'll look it up and PM you the full specs When I had my JDM engine swapped in I got the same check engine light same code, turns out the JDM engines do not have the exhaust temp sender installed, the harness connector is there but it has a cap in the plug, I had to remove the sensor from my old engine and put it in the new one, than the CEL went out, and no more codes. The plug is on the dr. side of the engine, just below the intake manifold if i remember correctly
  18. I drive my 94 Pathfinder V6 auto trans with OD turned on in the ET mode on the power switch, with stock 31" tires everyday at 80-85 MPH and my tach never goes over 4K, something is definitely wrong if you know you are in drive. Does the engine sound like it's revving that high or is that just what the tach says? Could be a bad tach as Precise said, I don;t think the 4cylinder tranny will bolt up to the V6, and unless someone previously replaced the axle gears you should not be doing 6K at 70 MPH. Can you (if it's an automatic), put the shifter in 1,2,d and see if it behaves properly ?
  19. Installed more vacuum line in the door weatherstripping, it really works ! The truck is pretty quiet inside, any noise I still hear I think is coming from the xterra rack.
  20. So filled the truck up on the way home today, first fill up last Saturday I got 16.3 MPG, This time I got 16.49 MPG I drove 254 miles and it took 15.4 gallons to fill.
  21. Removed the interior trim panel where the front dome light mounts, something up there was rattling and was driving me crazy, plus two of the legs the clips go on were broken off, added some more vacuum hose in different parts of the weather stripping, that stuff really seems to work, the interior wind noise is getting lower and lower ! Cleaned the dome light lens,
