I guess WD40 is just a name now: http://www.wd40specialist.com/ The water resistant silicone spray works excellent in locks I can safely say.

MrEviLDeD's Count Down to Inspection (Cheeky Grin)
ahardb0dy replied to MrEviLDeD's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Well the battery hold down should be an easy fix at least ! -
WD40 now has several different formulas, agreed the original WD40 we all know is a water displacer, but they do have a new rust penetrate spray.

Going from the 94 FSM, as anything earlier is not available online, Under the hood in the battery area there may be a unused plug for a ASCD (cruise) relay, a unused plug for an interlock relay if the truck was a manual trans (which yours is not), here is a labeled diagram from the same FSM I labeled a while back for someone else, you can see some of the plugs that may not be used in your application:

is your truck a manual or automatic? there are un-used plugs under the hood depending on what your truck has

The fan blade will always turn, just when the engine is hot the fan clutch will "engage" and it will spin faster to cool the engine, when the engine is cold it will just leisurely turn. If your coolant reservoir keeps emptying check your oil to make sure no coolant is getting into the oil, and make sure to look under the truck to see if you have a leak somewhere.

they should bolt right on, did you get the hardware with them to bolt them on? See this on how to install them: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/1405-86-95-pathfinder-warn-premium-hub-installation/

Cant determine my no crank, no start issue
ahardb0dy replied to RickWill's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
check the fusible links coming off the positive terminal at the battery. If the starter sometimes just clicks and other times cranks most likely it's time for a starter, I would recommend a NEW starter if aftermarket or get an OEM one from a dealer or from Rob (our online Nissan dealer), I went thru this as well ( other than the sparks), I did the starter relay mod which prolonged the life of the starter for about a year but than finally had to replace it. -
that's right, my mistake, you can be stuck and engage 4wd happened to me a long time ago in my hardbody, was stuck in mud and put it in 4wd the axle made it's complete revolution and locked in with a bang ! . Guess that's why it's better for the tire to be turning when you put it in 4wd, or at least if you put it in 4wd while sitting still than are able to drive allowing the hub to lock as compared to what happened to me having the hub lock while being stuck.

mine shows alternate part numbers, here is looking up the fuel sender for my 90 sentra: and the alternate ( or original part number is shown): I like the parts master part of FAST, where I can put a part number in and it will show every other vehicle that uses the same part

"One question, why on earth would you put 2x12's in a 3000GT?" I had 2 -12's in my 90 Nissan sentra and before that had 2 -12's in my 87 hardbody king cab

stuck WD21 hubs are automatic hubs, they lock when you put the truck in 4wd and the front tires make a complete revolution, to unlock you put it back in 2wd and back up about 3 feet. Many prefer manual locking hubs over the automatic hubs because there is no question if the hubs are locked or not, when you lock them they are lcked, un lock them they are un locked. The auto hubs do not work off of vacuum or weights, there are parts inside that are called brakes and a spring that moves one part inside the other causing them to lock, see the FSM there is a good schematic on all the parts of the hubs.

I never knew there was even a difference between CA and Fed and auto and manual EGR valves, when I bought the JDM engine for my pathfinder I know it was bolted to an automatic trans as the company separated the engine from the tranny in front of me. No idea if it actually makes a difference if a manual trans EGR was installed on an auto trans engine. Do not know what the difference is between the parts, they all look the same with the same fittings. I'm sure what ever one you use will work fine.

Why would the CA one fit? Not that I think they are different in how they mount but your truck was a CA truck but you said the engine was a JDM engine, so why would you think the CA part would be correct on a JDM engine?
-
I see that, for some reason I thought you had a 95, no idea what makes the CA or Fed one's different, unless it's a CA Smog number thing like with the CA only cat converters, ?? I would go with the federal one, the CA part may be tuned for the lower CA emissions, and you are not in CA anyway.
