I think as long as the ones in the junkyard are the same 4 spoke that you have in your 95 they should be the same, you could always take your part with you and check it. Just let the people at the junkyard know that you are bringing a part in so they don't try to charge you for it when you leave

that little box looks like the wiper amplifier, which is normally found under the hood near the wiper motor, the amplifier controls the variable speeds for the wipers, not 100% sure that is what it is but that is what it looks like so if you have variable wiper speeds try them and see if they work. just looked in Nissan FAST program for overseas models under the electrical units for Terrano with the diesel engine and it shows 2 boxes that look similiar to the one you posted called "Control unit Immobilser" but doesn't show where they are located, and when I tried to get a part number for them it says no applicable part number found so ?? any chance you can get me the complete number ( the one that starts with 285) off of that part I can't read it all in the pic,

if the rear door was closed fully and latched I can't see it opening by itself, unless it was never really closed or perhaps someone tried to open it. Guess you don't have the outside spare tire carrier. you said the door won't stay closed for long unless it is locked, when you shut the door does the latch grab, I would leave the door open and try closing the latch with a screw driver than try to open it using the screw driver, if it opens without using the handle than the latch would be bad

I drive 72 miles round trip 4 days a week and normally drive my 90 sentra as it gets about 30 MPG and the AC is a lot colder, I don't drive the PF everyday as it costs twice as much to fill it up, same with the titan we had before getting the PF, I could almost see the gas gauge moving when driving the titan. Like precise1 said if the money isn't an issue go for it, at least you know the xterra wasn't abused or anything

I've always liked the xterra's especially the older one's, but you know if you buy it you will start to modify it than you won't want to drive it that much either,lol If you have to commute that far I would just buy a cheap good gas mileage car just for getting to work and back

it's not just for the "auto" button it works with the whole auto HVAC system, I beleive the auto computer takes the temp from the ambient air sensor behind the grille and this sunload sensor as well as others and makes changes accordingly

In the 94 FSM in the HA section it shows that to be a "sunload" sensor that works with the automatic air conditioning system from the FSM: "The sunload sensor is located on the center defroster grille, it detects sunload entering through the windshield by means of a photo diode and converts it into a current value which is than input into the auto amplifier"

I have the PERFECT lights for you to use in that bumper, the shop I used to work at in NY we used these a lot in the rear doors of suburbans and stuff, they almost flush mount only about a 1/2" or so actually sticks out above the surface, they feature dual bulbs and you can aim them without removing them: -
Guess that's another case of can't beleive everything you read, I just copied what I read. I shouldn't have said the tranny's suck, the trans in my 87 (non over drive) lasted 130K before it needed to be rebuilt, the tranny shop guy told me it didn't owe me anything as he has seem them fail at 35K or less. I retract my they suck comment,lol So do the tranny's from the newer trucks swap directly into the older trucks? You would have to swap the tranny computer also right??

I'm keeping track om my mileage and since I got the PF running I've filled the tank 4 times and am averaging 16.7 overall, Still have not replaced the O2 sensor so that may help slightly, everything else tune up related is new. I'm sure if it had decent tires the rolling resistance might help also, But I do drive 80 everywhere!! LOL

The way I would do it is to take a few buddies to the local junkyard, find a good frame, strip the truck, take the frame home and transfer everything over, a long weekend would do it, unless you have a lot of beer in the process, LOL

I got it for $600, the guy tried to charge me more when I got there but I caught him when he gave me the receipt so he re-did it, it was supposed to be $650 plus tax so I gave him $700, than I noticed he didn't take off the $50 he said he would, he tried to say the $50 was already included in the price but I told him it wasn't. He tried to say the engine was listed on craigslist for $700 but I told him none of the VG30's were on craigslist that I had to e-mail him for the price so he tore of the receipt and charged me $600 out the door. The engine runs perfect smooth can't even tell it's running when it's idling.

good luck with how ever you have it done, I still would look for a complete frame, just checked the local junkyard and they sell them down here for $149. I would go that way but that is me.

ok, was just a thought I had last night, I don't think it would cost much to do as I would get a fan from the junkyard and the wiring is no big deal, any machining I would do myself as well. Would just have to pick up a cooler from somewhere. Antifreeze was put in when I had the JDM engine installed few months ago (03-27-10 to be exact),

just had a thought, does the tranny cooler have to be mounted in front of the radiator? Could I mount it to the back of my aftermarket steel skid plate with a fan behind it as a puller and drill a few holes (maybe a few 1" holes) in the skid plate for airflow? Was just thinking it would be protected there, would not be another layer in front of the radiator, easier to plumb as the metal tranny lines are right there. I don't do any heavy 4 wheeling, haven't done any yet in the pathfinder actually since I got it so not worried about getting into any deep water or anything. Was also thinking could wire the fan to a thermostat so it wouldn't be running all the time. My local auto parts sells 2 different types of coolers, pics are better than explaining so here are the 2 types they sell, neither one specifies the capacity and I also read on here about using one from a ford explorer, any other vehicles that have a decent one to use instead of buying a new one? The truck may have sentimental value to him and that is fine, I think everyone who commented is looking at it as far as how much work it will take to repair what he has. I for one would hit the junkyard and find a better frame, than he will still have his truck with sentimental value if it has any for him. It would be easier and probably cheaper in the end to swap frames.
