1994 Se - 187,000 New JDM engine, previous owner thought maintenance meant fix when broken!!
-
I'll scan it in a little while and post it
-
considering Trailmaster only made 2 suspension lifts for the Nissans (pickup or pathfinder) than that would have to be the one, I have a copy of the instructions if anyone would like a copy.
-
that's why on my old 87 hardbody I used to have I installed hood pins, couldn't stand watching the hood move up and down on the highway
-
I just bought a "JDM" engine and had it installed in my 94 PF and I know it came out of a 4x4 as opposed to a quest or similar as the engine was still bolted to the tranny and transfer case and I helped the store unbolt it. But no issues with the one I bought, other than the Exhaust gas sensor that the "JDM" engine did not have and the harness that was clipped to the back of the engine had a cap in the plug. I kept getting a code until I removed the sensor from my "US" engine and swapped it over to the "JDM" engine. than no more code. I know that the pathfinders were all made in Japan as stated the "J" in the vin number but there is still differences between the US and JDM engines as far as emission equipment and mileage and stuff.

If you have an automatic tranny you can run the wire thru the plug for the clutch master cylinder, or if you don't have AC you can run wires thru the rubber plug where the AC lines go, as to switches I would just use a factory fog light switch.

Jim Wolf Technology has a intake kit available also: http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/customer_part_detail.asp?PartID=356

when you bleed the brakes on the PF I know your supposed to start at the furthest away from the master cylinder than go closer, so would I start at the Pass. rear than the drivers rear, pass front drivers front last??
-
When ever I am getting up to speed where the trans would shift into the top gear the tranny won't shift up unless I left off the gas slightly for a second, also does this if I nail the throttle and hold it down, The trans in this PF was installed by the previous owner and he got it from a junkyard so I have no idea when/if the trans was ever serviced, when I first got the PF running I checked the fluid and had to add some. Would having the trans serviced/flushed help this do you think??

On my 90 sentra the metal line for the AC had a leak, actually the clutch cable was rubbing against it and it wore a hole thru the pipe, FORGET the dealer check the yellow pages for hoses, a local hose shop can make you a replacement, they just cut the rubber part out and re-connect a new hose to your ends, I had 2 done on my sentra about $40 for both IIRC
-
when you ran a jumper wire to the other side which is working and the high beam still didn't work that is weird, unless you ran the wire to the low beam wire on the good side by mistake?? Only thing I can think of.

here is the diagram with the truck and KA lines and stuff removed: and here is the same diagram that I colored the lines: I was bored, LOL
-
You can have just the rubber part of the hose replaced, I just had a rubber hose and a metal hose replaced, took them to a hose shop (Amazon hose down here in Orlando), there should be similar places everywhere, on my metal line the clutch cable wore a hole thru it (in my sentra), they cut out the bad part and welded in a coupling, the rubber hose they replaced from fitting to fitting, it was reasonable also, less than $40 IIRC and took one day to do. Check your yellow pages for hose shops.

here is the schematic for Non- DRL headlights from the 95 FSM: according to this diagram each headlight is fed separately from the joint connector plug, I always thought the power was fed to one headlight than jumper-ed over to the other. Sorry didn't read you checked the diagram in the FSM, might be a problem with the switch itself, in my 90 sentra sometimes when I turn the headlights on I only have one high beam, if I switch it from high to low and back to high they both will work fine.

when I got home from work Friday, I got out of my Sentra and heard beeping, thought it was just cause the door was open, so I locked it and shut it, than stuck my hand in my pocket to get my keys to open the house and realized what the beeping was !! Looked thru the window and keys were still in the ignition! LOL, that's why I always keep and extra on a key ring on my lunch bag!!

You are correct on flipping the caliper on up on the PF's,
-
when I first got my 94 the horn would only work with the wheel in certain positions, but I cleaned the contacts real good and played with the screws that attach the contact ring on the steering wheel and it now works like it should.

Maybe the alarm guy dropped his phone or pager

If you want one specifically for a 92 you would have to find one on e-bay or somewhere as the 92 manual only came in paper form, if you don't mind if the FSM is slightly newer you can download one for a 94 from this site. here's one I just found on e-bay $50 though but it also comes with the factory wiring diagram manual: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1992-Nissan-Pathfinder-Truck-Service-Shop-Manual-Set-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem27b32f25c6QQitemZ170509936070QQptZMotorsQ5fManualsQ5fLiterature

Ok, using Nissan FAST program for Japanese models I found this, that part number comes up as "control assy", and has a alternate part number of 28540-83G01 which comes up as "Control Assy - Shift Lock" the first number comes up the same thing the reason nothing came up the first time I was looking is I was looking under the terrano section which was model R20, but than I noticed the years started in 94, so I looked online and discovered your terrano is under the WD21 model and than the part number came up to what I just posted.

I think he was just asking about the center pad not replacing the whole wheel, In case you are considering replacing the whole steering wheel: Below is a picture of a list of the different Nissan models and which adapter they use ( in this case for a Momo steering wheel), but it will show which vehicles use the same adapter thus the same stock st. wheel should fit, no center pads for the pathfinder or trucks here but this page will show a large majority of Nissan steering wheels and they are all for sale too !! http://www.oem-surplus.com/nwp/steeringW.htm

I always use a battery that is designed for a full size ford, funny thing is when I bought my current battery the part number for the ford was the same for the pathfinder, only thing you really have to watch is to make sure the positive and negative posts are on the same sides as the stock battery so the cables will reach, extra height and width isn't really a problem. Stock battery calls for like a 630 CCA I always get one over 850CCA if I can

'95 XE - V6 Driver's Side Door Lock Broken
ahardb0dy replied to DoctorBill's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
that part you are holding is one half of the mechanism that unlocks all the doors when you turn the key, the other half clips on to the lock cylinder.
