Went to the junkyard 1/2 an hour before they closed, guy let me in free ( normally charge $2 to get in), found the bushings I needed for my Sentra sway bar, AND THAN THE BIG SCORE!!! Finally found a sunroof shade AND a fully working drivers side window switch!!!! It was a 94 pathfinder and was missing the whole drivers door and door panel, the interior was taken apart pretty good the gauge cluster was lying on the floor so as I'm looking around to see what else I might need I notice something sitting in the pocket where the gauge cluster mounts, pick it up and flip it over and it's the drivers side window switch !! MADE MY DAY, So total for the trip was $10.15, $1.50 for each bushing and $5.99 for the sunroof shade, shade was missing the plastic screws but found a pair in a 720 pickup that had a broken shade !! Pathfinder had the sidesteps but I didn't have the right size tools to pull them, next time if they are still there, had a chrome front bumper that was in really good shape also.

still have noise under truck pass. side
ahardb0dy replied to ahardb0dy's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
rear discs, today I pulled the pass. rear tire and checked all the links, sway bar end links and the rotor and caliper, even checked the body mounts, everything looks good and tight, no idea where this noise is coming from. Sounds like a clunking noise. Did not pull the rotor to check the e-brake -
when I removed mine I remember having to pull it out towards the front than twisting it so it's backwards and taking it out, don't recall if the first time I replaced it I had a body lift or not, also this was in a D21 so may have been a little easier with the body being higher than on the pathfinder.

still have noise under truck pass. side
ahardb0dy replied to ahardb0dy's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
seems like I hear it mostly when stepping on the brake at low speed -
Still getting this noise, thought it was the floor flexing under the pass. seat but the floor is solid, seat is tight to the floor, seat itself is tight (back to bottom), there is nothing under the truck on the pass. side that could be hitting the floor, checked the rear trailing arms as well as the strut bar no play in anything, I'm stumped and this noise is making me nuts, any other ideas on what to look at?? Thanks All

WRONG !! Mechanical temp gauges do not have fluid running up to the gauge, the fluid heats up the end of the sender which causes the gauge to move, the only mechanical gauges that have fluid going to the back of the gauges would be pressure gauges such as oil I prefer mechanical as they are more accurate and I prefer Autometer, but keep in mind autometer makes different lines of gauges, the auto gauge series are cheaper than say their sport comp line, they also come in different sizes.

the fan clutches don't always seize up or stay in the "engaged" position, mine was just spinning along, have you tried flushing the cooling system maybe even a few times?
-
those prices were from an online dealer and the prices are discounted compared to going to your local dealer, as a comparison the $49 supply line retails for $66, you can contact Alkorahil in the classified, services section under the Genuine Nissan Parts thread for prices if you don't mind having to order the lines

Got ya (My 1,001 post!!)))

when you rev the engine you should be able to hear the fan spinning faster sounds like a jet, that's what mine wasn't doing, when I revved it the fan kept spinning the same, you can also when the engine is OFF check the fan clutch for play by trying to move the fan blade, or try to stop the fan blade from spinning using a piece of cardboard or something, you shouldn't be able to stop it that easily. air relief screw looking at the engine, right side of intake manifold towards the rear:

No need for the joke Nazi's here !!

like stickers on a honda?? LOL could be worse they could be pink!! LOL
-
I removed the little box under my seat and the switch so no more alarm that didn't work anyway
-
my simple solution is still the same, front hood pins, I mounted mine in my 87 D21 where the front rubber bumpers were, bolted the pins in and placed a rubber bushing over the pin for the hood to sit on, no more wobble, shake or anything
-
i found one in the back of mine when I bought it also and had no idea where it came from so in the extra parts box it went.

I think they use steel due to the pressure, but I just looked up the fuel lines in the Nissan FAST program and than looked up the prices from an online Nissan Dealer and the lines aren't that expensive, the supply line is about $49,the return line is about $25 and the vent line is about $17. All 3 of those lines run from the rear to the front. Doubtful you would need all of them
-
Never heard of that before, did a search and even sears is advertising one! Much more expensive than other stores but at least it's something they have.

My fan clutch on my 94 was shot and the truck, even in traffic would never go near the halfway point on the temp gauge, even with the ac on and it's in the high 90's here everyday, with the new fan clutch it is still reading the same temp, and I tried replacing the sender for the gauge just to see if the original one was bad, same temp with either sender. I would do as previously suggested and see if there may be air in the system which will make it run hotter, also I just bought some coil cleaner (from Home Depot) for my home AC unit and some of the people that used it and reviewed this cleaner said it worked really well on their condensers in their vehicles,

A few of the high output alternator companies recommend this style battery terminal, known as "military style" I like these also: I also like these and have them on my Sentra:

I kick myself in the ass every time I think back to the time the Trailmaster rep told me I could have the kit for $435, jobber cost minus 20% and I never bought it !!! Than again, I really don't care for the torsion bars hanging down under the truck the way they do with this kit, now if the torsion bars were on the upper arms like in a toyota it would have been different

No link, just posted them in the garage section

Someone asked for a copy of these instructions, so I just scanned them and will be posting them here:
