  1. Nice video, I did something similar on my 87 Hardbody except I used transdapt parts and used their dual remote filter mount and I mounted it to the frame just below the pass. door mounted horizontally. I used their braided SS lines but the lines were not as good a quality as some of the aftermarket hose companies. I believe the filters I used at the time were PH8A's. I still have the parts minus the lines in storage may have to get some hoses and install the relocation kit on my 94 PF minus the dual kit, think a single filter is more than enough. One thing not mentioned in the video and it looked like the filter mount had provisions for this, you can remove one of the extra plugs on the filter mount to install a trans temp gauge, That is how I had the mechanical sender installed on my 87. Keep the video's coming Mr. Jim !!
  2. took the regulator assembly back out today and took the cover off the motor and reversed it, now window moves the way it is supposed to. I have to press hard on the up position of the switch to get the window to go up but I have an extra switch in storage I'm going to swap out to see if it is better, but so far all is good.
  3. If you didn't use teflon tape on the sensor threads you need to remove it and use the tape.
  4. Had some problems yesterday when I went to install the regulator/electric motor assembly, I connected the motor and went to try it and it didn't do anything! It worked fine connected to my power supply so I knew the motor was working fine. After some troubleshooting I determined when pressing down on the window switch the plug for the electric motor had power but when pressing up there was no power going to the plug. Than I checked the output at the switch to see if there was a problem in the wiring between the switch and the motor plug but had no power there either. I had to take out the drivers side switch which also had no power coming out for the pass. front window switch. Took the switch apart and cleaned it and all of a sudden it started working. That was it for last night as it was getting dark (had spent a few hours replacing a front wheel stud on my buddies Honduh Element , now I know why I only like working on Nissan's !!!) Today, mounted the regulator assembly and re-ran the door harness ( I had removed it thinking I had a problem some where in the wiring), connected all the plugs and the window still didn't work than I realized why, I had the drivers switch apart still and the pass. window lock switch did not have contact between the 2 pins as the switch was apart, connected the 2 pins temporarily with a screwdriver and the pass window now worked, except for one small problem, for some reason both the drivers and pass switch are working backwards !!! Pressing up lowers the window and down raises it. Which leads to this question, when I took the motor apart could putting the motor cover back on backwards cause the motor to run backwards? I don't know if I want to pull the regulator back out to try changing the motor cover over I may just cut the 2 wires going to the motor and reverse them, but at least it is working again for now. Think a new drivers side window switch would help with any future problems but at $96 from rockauto it may be a while before I can get one. as for your window going up slow, since I replaced the rubber on the windows from used one's out of a pickup my drivers window goes up about half way fine than seems to really slow down, if I pull the glass slightly forward it will continue to go up fast, I already tried lubing the weatherstripping but it doesn't last. When it is raining out the glass goes up fine.
  5. took the motor apart the other night and pulled the shaft out, sprayed the copper down with tuner cleaner ( all I had) and brushed the copper with a wire brush than wiped clean, also cleaned the brushes, so far it is working every time. Putting the regulator/motor back into the PF tomorrow.
  6. Today on my 94 PF, my buddy rolled the pass. side window down than it wouldn't roll back up at all, would only go down more not up. We got back to my house and I checked the pass. side switch and still wouldn't go up, removed the door panel and tried running 12 volts directly to the window motor and got nothing, window was now fully down and had to figure out a way to get the glass back up. Ended up unbolting the motor and regulator so I could lift the regulator up enough to unscrew the glass from it. than used wooden wedges to hold the glass fully closed. Removed the motor and regulator unit and took it into my work shop, hooked it up to my power supply and still would not work either direction. Took the motor cover off wiped the inside magnets with a rag and put it back together and it is working. Going to take it back apart to clean the shaft where the brushes sit Saturday. Anyone have any experience cleaning these motors??
  7. That style grill isn't something you would probably find on a 4x4 but I guess it would offer some headlight protection
  8. found one on that site for sale: http://infamousnissan.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12538
  9. Like this? The grilles are still available from numerous suppliers, search google for nissan hardbody phantom grille
  10. all the stuff in that pic I got from the junkyard, was surprised those 2 door lock sensors came out unbroken
  11. are you referring to the plastic part, that looks like this one in my pic below? if so that sensor should have 2 plastic "arms" that clip it over the lock cylinder
  12. I still am not sure what seal this is on the rockauto site, could someone possible find me the part number and post it? 94 pathfinder, Thanks here's a link, www.rockauto.com
  13. I looked on Nissan FAST program last night and do not see the seal shown on the outside of the rear end, it shows one which looks like it is inside, is the seal outside behind the flange or not? Anyone have the part number handy?? What size is the flange nut?
  14. they came that way when I bought the truck, when the tires have no tread they use more weight!! LOL
  15. He was referring to how I made the center cap hole larger so the Warn hub would fit. The top pic I have to sand the edge of the hole a little more, I cut that one out using an exacto knife blade, the lower hole I used the dremel. Thanks I jacked the wheels up one at a time and they actually work!! LOL Thanks!!
  16. received the washers in the mail today from Warn, they sent me 4 !! Ran up to the hardware store and picked up 5 new studs, nuts and new allen head screws for the outer dial and installed the hubs today. Have to stop at another hardware store to get the rest of the studs, Pics below: Pass side: Drivers side:
  17. Was under my 94 PF today and noticed the rear axle is wet so I think the seal at the front of the axle is leaking. What is involved to replace it? Mark Driveshaft and flange and remove, remove flange nut than flange, pry out old seal and install new one, is that all that is involved? Thanks
  18. there probably is, even if I can mount the lights to just fit into that opening the problem is the depth of the lights, dr. side is slightly better but on pass. side the AC drier is right there. Original light brand in grille is Cerullo, found them online but only saw regular lights nothing like I have
  19. I run Mobil 1 10w30 with purolator pure one filters (mostly because they are easier to get and closer than the dealer), but I prefer the OEM nissan filter when I have them
  20. right now the centers are not connected as the drivers side light had developed a crack and the chrome on the reflector is all flaking off. I picked up a headlight out of a BMW 525i in the junkyard to see if I could use it to replace the bad light in the grille, but it ended up being just a 1/4" too small in diameter so I have to keep looking for a replacement. As for adjust ability, the grille lights are mounted by 3 screws and each can be tightened or loosened to adjust the light up/down or side to side. Oh, in response to others suggestions for that flat spot in the grille I did pick up two 4x4 emblems off of a 2 door pf last weekend to possibly put in that spot.
  21. sent pics to Warn and got a reply, they are going to send out 2 new thrust washers, great customer service knowing I didn't even buy the hubs new !!
  22. Here is a pic of my hardbody headlight to my 94 path swap with my aftermarket grille, there are gaps on each side of the grill as the corner lights for a hardbody are different than the pathfinder lights
  23. Thanks, I sent a message to Warn they replied the rebuild kit only contains gaskets and o-rings, the guy said they have never offered any internal parts but he did ask me to send him a picture of the part I need and he would see what he could do, so ..... now I have to take the hub apart for the fifth-teen time to take a picture!!
  24. I just found a pic of the hubs being installed on an xterra and it shows the recessed side facing out so I'm good on that, the washer I am talking about is inside the hub, you can't see it unless you take the splined part at the bottom rear of the hub out. When I took the snap ring off on the back of the hub the splined part falls inside the hub body (with hub upside down), on the splined part is a flat washer, think it is a thrust washer.
