  1. the #$!&er wanted me to throw cash ontop for a 93 that has no brakes at the moment(my god it was a scary test drive) he didnt tell me til after i got back, the fame however was starting to scale, and well yea i passed. I will find another one day but until then i will rock out the MPG's on the neon. i love the little #$!&er. i missed diving a little car, but at the same time i miss driving something that is a hell of alot more capible off road.
  2. here's a picture of my T-Case shift knob in my old pathy
  3. Well as some of you know i had a 95 Nissan pathfinder that i loved it was by far my favorite vehicle that i have owned. but as the Nissan's have a curse especially in the rust belt for Swiss cheese frames i inevitably broke mine whilst offroading it. I actually traded it for a 2000 Dodge neon, and soon after bought a 1999 neon. as much as i love my neon i miss the pathfinder more. So while browsing my local Craigslist i happened upon this 93 Pathfinder . I thusly text messaged him to see if he still had it and what the specs were on it. Here is a little rundown on it. 1993 Nissan Pathfinder SE or XE i cant tell(has the SE wheels, roof rack and the spare tire carrier) 160k miles Auto trans Loaded Frame's not rotted(or so he says) needs Brakes(rotors & Pads)-He has them Possible LSD rear diff He doesnt have any better pictures of the thing at the moment but i hope its as good as it sounds, because i miss my pathy. I wish it was a 94-95 because the interior was awesome on the 95 that i had. But i cant be choosy as i think there is a 94 or 95 in the junkyard by my house so i would pillage the interior
  4. i plan on staying here you guys are laid back and very informative. so yea, im staying.
  5. sounds like a leak somewhere, is the red "brake" light on too?
  6. well i guess this can be locked for now im not keeping her. the passenger side lower lateral link mount "tore" from the frame 1/2" and pushed the axle back 1/2" on that side. so i am picking up an econo box car 2000 dodge neon for in trade for the Pathfinder. the guy said he still wanted it broken frame and all so i guess thats a cool thing. the neon is beat cosmeticly but i am awesome at body work and could probably knock 90% of it out in a day. there is 0 rust on it its just beat body wise. the motor and trans are awesome. I do vow this that i will own another pathfinder from the south that has absolutely 0 rust on the frame. it would also have to be a 93+ to get the kick ass interior.
  7. i did find one with a borked trans but they want $1000 for it because its "rust free"
  8. i just went out and looked at my exhaust its just the flange bolts @ the y pipe to exhaust, that are broken and the gaskets missing, and i dont think the frame will take me that long to fix(a weekend or so). and i can do the shocks at a later date,im going to buy the cheapo lifetime warranty shocks for the time being. the ball joints are not bad yet just more or less a preventative maintenance thing.
  9. i work too much and i am mechanicly inclined enough to do that but thats price for parts not labor. I am more or less worried that the motor will stop running due to lack of back pressure, i have exhaust leaks everywhere.
  10. Well... there is more and more going wrong with this pathfinder every day. Monday the exhaust manifolds both either cracked or i have broken studs, and the tail pipe fell off, the exhaust will need to be replaced from the manifolds back so that's even more money i dont have. I did however get my steel to "patch" my frame although i am not to psych'd to get going on it since my dad has been using my truck everyday leaving me with the pathfinder as my only vehicle now. so as its starting to look more and more like im soon to be stuck between a rock and a hard place. i may soon be losing my vehicle and possibly my job because of it. due to the amounting things that keep going wrong. List of major things wrong: Needs shocks(210k on the orig shocks)-$240(on the high side) Needs Ball joints(upper and lower)-$200(on the high side) Needs Frame fixed-$100-$600( depends on who i have do it Needs Exhaust replaced,as well as manifold studs/bolts(manifolds back)-$700(on the high side) Thats $1700 or so into this Pathfinder, that i do not have nor do i make that in a month. i make $600 or so a month and have bills to pay, which leaves me with maybe $100 for 2 weeks for gas and food. So i am in a conundrum. Scrap the pathfinder and buy another one, or Scrap the pathfinder and buy something else both of which will cost me more money than i have and can borrow(crap credit) and i have no family that will help me that i know of.
  11. i am at 210k with the orig trans fluid, filter and cooler(will be upgraded soon) but thats good to know that the ones from the 01+ will swap right in to my 95 and its a direct bolt in, hell i may see if i can eventually find a Vg33 s/c with auto trans to swap the whole thing in.
  12. Well i made a decision to keep the pathfinder. honestly its got every option i am looking for in a vehicle and its reliable as hell. so yea i'll keep this updated with pics of the repair and i will eventually start a project log/build thread.
  13. 91 Cherokee 4dr 4.0 Auto, 225k on it. its already lifted. has 31's or 33's on it alreadt i am not 100% sure.
  14. i have been searching and i dont get much, i have actually offered it up in trade for a Jeep. and the guy is interested. if it does happen i will eventually get another pathfinder but it will be one from a no snow/salt state and start from square one again.
