    Timing belt Q

Cyl 1 is front left, if you're looking at the engine from the front. And yes, the rest is right. Work from there, and you should have no problem lining up the marks on your new belt, with the marks on your sprockets.

Alright.....I don't know what you've done here. There are punch marks on the cam sprockets, and the crankshaft sprocket. You'll have to remove the washer thing to see it. The marks on your new belt should line up with the punch marks on the sprockets. If not, something has moved, and you'll have to start from scratch. Which means, find TDC, and align the cam sprockets to the marks on the inner timing covers (also punch marks) and go from there.

Yeah....as long as all your marks line up....you should be fine. Be sure to transfer your marks on your old belt, to the new belt....that way you know everything will be right.

Best of luck finding the factory mark on the Crankcase. No one has yet. Here's what you do....... Align the punch marks on the two cam sprockets to the marks on the inner timing cover. Put the new belt on with the 2 markings aligned to the same marks. The 3rd mark should line up with the punch mark on the crankshaft sprocket. If it doesn't, you're out of time. I have done the belt change twice, and I've never found the mark on the block for the crankshaft. I just use my belt to show me where the sprocket should be, and I've never had an issue. In my opinion, and it looks like it's too late for you, the best way is lining up the camshaft sprockets with their marks on the inner timing cover. That ensures that the crankshaft is in it's proper place. Then just don't move anything when you re and re the belt. Then double check your marks. Oh, and be sure once you have the new belt on, that you crank it over by hand a couple of times to make sure nothing is interfering.
  5. Roughcountry.com. They're Superlift arms, rebranded for RoughCountry. They were $172US shipped to Rochester. They don't show the arms on their site, but they're part of the Hardbody lift kit. Call and ask for the arms.
  6. Yeah, and you're the guy who will be looking down at his cell phone while tailgating someone and slam into them. There's no reason for it....Period. Anyone who's been rear-ended, knows the pain it causes, and 99% of the time, it's from people following too close.
  7. Yikes.... Wayner, probably not the answers you wanted to hear. I still have my roughcountry UCA's out of the truck, so if you pull one out, we could test fit one of my bushings.
  8. Yeah, but on a hot summer day....think of the sticky mess Coke would make on a person's windshield and hood!!
  9. I know a guy who did it in an Astro Van, which had a separate jug for the rear washer fluid. He said it held almost 4 litres, and he had the nozzle facing out. He filled it with Coke. Said 9 times out of 10, the car behind him would run out of washer fluid before he ran out of Coke...
  10. It disables the lights altogether. So take it out, do whatever maintenance on the module that you need to, and put it back in.....or wire past it.
  11. It's inside the inner passenger fender, right beside the battery. You'll see the mount for it there....undo the screws, and you can pull it out from the battery area.
  12. Timing belt won't affect mileage. Either it's in tact, and everything's working, or it snaps, or slips, and your engine (typically) goes bye bye. 100k miles is the change interval on R50's I believe, as it was on later WD21's.
  13. Ahh yes.....the old "forums" *tear* Beautiful thing. I'm with you Denis.....I'm from the olden days as well. NPORA member #7
  14. It's the same size. The frame in the 2005+ Pathy's is taken from the Titan, simply shortened. Same as the Frontier. The body is narrower, but the frame is basically the same, hence the ability to put in the V8
  15. Nope....94 and 95 had the rounded dash, Skrill.

    Body Lift

I'm wondering. Is it only the rearmost 2 bolts that are different in the 1990-1995 Pathfinders for the Body lift, or the rearmost 4. I had heard it was only the last 2 that are different, but I looked at the kit from AC with the added bolts for the newer WD21's, and there's 4 added bolts. So, which is it?
  17. Mine does the exact same things you described. Shifting into 2nd when it's cold grinds. My solution is just to start off in 2nd when it's cold. Works fine for me.
  18. Stay away from Crapmini. I've heard far too many horror stories about them. Get yourself some RoughCountry (rebranded Superlift) Upper control arms, and a set of Jeep Grand Cherokee front coils. Much cheaper than the Calmini kit, and the Superlift arms, by all accounts, are far superior to the Calmini.
  19. Actually, your local Canadian Tire can get them for you. Also Wal-Mart carries them, and Partsource.

Yessum. Stock travel basically does not increase (very minimal)......it just sits higher.
  21. Good point... Here's another one to consider... What's the vehicle worth? If you're talking $100 in parts, and $500 labour, the reality is that the truck may not be worth that.....or not much more. I do almost everything myself, because I can't justify paying shop prices for much, if anything. I had my clutch done at a local dealer, because I didn't have time to tackle it when I had a part failure, and the truck was barely driveable. Other than that, she doesn't see mechanics. So far, 300,000kms, and it's still running....I'm sure I've saved thousands by doing things myself over the years.

    33's

Backspacing has nothing to do with height. The BS has to do with how far the tire sticks out from the truck.

If you want a full kit for the BL for your truck, 4x4parts.com is your ONLY option. None of the manufacturers kept up with the bolt change in the rear end after 1990, so AC sells the old kit, with new bolts for the 91-95 applications.
  24. If you're running the stock amps, you'll be fine. The issue is that the crossover for the front component speakers is in the amp. So if you bypass the factory amps, chances are you'll kill the stock tweeters (like I did) in no time. That is, unless you run a crossover for them.
  25. No....they changed the mounting points a bit in 93. So an 87-92 chrome or black will bolt on an 87-92, and the same goes for 93-95
