  1. I have found that the nissan clutch is the best for the nissan. You can get a centerforce clutch for 700 or so. but the nissan clutches are really good.
  2. Maximum speed limit while towing in California is 55 miles per hour and is posted.
  3. remember when i 4x4 you engine has twice the rotating mass to turn.
  4. my se is like a stripped down model.. no nothing special.
  5. sounds like a plug in the worng spot on the t-case. there are 2 of them, try swaping.
  6. 300 lbs is alot.. my cage weights 300 lbs
  7. 3500 lbs for manula 5000 lbs for auto 250 lbs tounge wieght. Your not going to pull much.
  8. I bet the carpet alone is nearly 100 lbs.. It was heavy as @!*% when i took it out of my 87
  9. you should have unbolted the torque converter from teh flex plate first. I bet you'll jack up your seals if you pull it from the tranny while attached to the engine. Seen it done SOOO many times. If your lifters are not tapping, its not your oil pump. I havent had oil pressure in my rig for.. umm.. 14 years.
  10. did you downshift into the parking lot when you stopped it? Been my experience, this is when they break.. Not just nissans, all timing belts.
  11. generally speaking, when a rig just "shuts off" its electric.
  12. those go to your tranny - t case. nothing to do with limp mode. Mine are cut and disconnected.
  13. probably plugged rad, and after getting it warm pressure builds and starts to push coolant out the weekest point
  14. are you running pro comp wheels? if so, i bet they are bent.. pieces of crap.
  15. I suggest new wheels. I have seen wheel spacers break, come loose and cause problems. some people don't have issues.. But why take the chance?
  16. I bet you have a bad cord in that area of the tire.
  17. 30 seconds is a long time. Maybe oil pump, because it sounds to me like ALL of your lifters are clattering. the chances of all your lifters @!*%ting the bed at once are slim to none. they are not going to fail at one time. My rig does that when its been sitting, but only for about 2-3 seconds.
  18. This is an old school method of internal beadlocks. it works, but not very good. If you push the tire off the bead, you won't loose air. downside, is if you push the tire off the bead, you might get something inside and puncture the tube.
  19. how long does it take for your oil pressure to come up? sounds like lifters.. possibly caused by your oil pump (NFG). also, DO NOT EVER PUT A FRAM OIL FILTER ON YOUR CAR.. IT WILL CAUSE DAMAGE, I'VE SEEN IT. THEY ARE A POS, THAT ONLY SURVIVES BECAUSE OF MARKETING. Get a wix, napa, or carquest filter (all made by wix). all others are imitations. I have seen fram filters cause engine destruction, and damage
  20. spare DRY lighters.. for fire, for smokes, for the dime bag
  21. sounds like you busted the timeing belt.
  22. pull a plug wire and set in next to the engine so that it will arc out. if not you have a direction to go, starting with the coil. from what i read, its not firing at all. even if things are all screwed up it'll still run. I've seen these engine that have broken timing belts, put back toghet wiht bent valves and STILL run. check your timing marks on the upper 2 cams, line them to TDC. then pull your distributor cap and make sure that the rotor is pointing at number 1.
