You can't just keep jamming more refridgerant in without measuring the pressure. You at least had a pressure guage on your charging hose, right? The service manual has the correct pressures for the various ambient temps. If you over charge it the pressure will be too high and you could pop one of the lines.

We had to heat mine with a oxy acetylene torch. Once you got it red hot and dumped water on it a few times it cracked free. Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk

Constantly replacing compression rod bushings
adamzan replied to RCWD21's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Well if the steering components are worn, you should replace them regardless...Maybe you're tightening them too much? Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk -
I don't get why people are waiting for a write up. Its exactly the same as swapping in the factory trans. Except you swap the sub harness. Thats it. Hell i even used the speed sensor from the x tcase. Put down the phone/keyboard and get under the truck! Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk

D21 pickup fuel tank as auxiliary tank on Pathfinder?
adamzan replied to Dma251's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
The frame is plenty strong, unless of course, yours is rusted through. -
Here's a hint.

Trouble removing key from ignition in wrecking yard on 94 PF
adamzan replied to PFFlier's topic in The Garage
They do have a lock button on the manual ones. Mine auto pathy i know for sure won't release the key without it being in park. Maybe bring a jumper pack and see if you can get it to release. Or just remove the whole ignition. Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk -
Might just want to buy a new one from nissan, they aren't that expensive.

Not with an Xterra/frontier auto swapped in. They were redesigned to fix this issue. -
HELP! Reverse without Warning stopped Working

Same thing happened to me. I can't really tell you why reverse fails. -
HELP! Reverse without Warning stopped Working
adamzan replied to Stifun's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Sorry to say this, but the only fix is a new transmission or rebuild. Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk -

Shift slippage and engine Bogging Help?! Please
adamzan replied to superhand15.mc's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
i replied to your pm... -
If it's really hot out and you have the air on it should sound like a dump truck with the fan clutch. If it doesn't you might have an issue there. Or the pressure is too low like ^ said.

The auto darkening part must be nice.

Anything's is better than the 95 trans. I have the xterra one. It came from a 2002 supercharged. You need the flex plate if you get a sc one. As the torque converter bolt pattern is different. But the rest is plug and play. Might need some longer vent hose but no big deal. You also need the sub harness from your old trans. Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk

I think they are a 17. I've replaced the ones behind the vent controls and they looked the same as the small dash ones. There were two of the same size but one was higher wattage. I got the higher one and they are nice and bright Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk

No offense, but you might want to fix the reverse first! I would hate to have it completely give up on a trail somewhere and then you are screwed. To lift the front you adjust the torsion bars. There are adjusters under the truck about where the front/back doors meet.

What is the suitable oil pan gasket
adamzan replied to dududuckling's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Ultra grey works really well. The right stuff is good too but expensive. I think you'll have no issues with the grey as long as the mating surfaces are really clean, that is probably the biggest factor anyways. -
Energy Suspension bushing sleeves too long?
adamzan replied to unit6usa's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
I can't believe this is still an issue. I had to do this on the first set I installed years ago, and again last year. I gave up and bought the super lift UCAs where the bushings fit properly the first time with no modifications. -
Heavy oil consumption mystery - My truck eats oil!
adamzan replied to JohnMasters's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Definitely not normal to use that much oil. I've seen vg30s with well over 250k use no oil. What about the lines that go to the pcv? Also have a look at where the trans meets the engine. If its wet the rear main could be leaking. But i would expect oil on the ground if it was that bad. Check that number 6 cylinder. Sounds to me like you have a blockage in the crankcase vent system though. Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk -
Never had a problem with the whole oil/starter thing. Also, I've still not done anything on this, LOL. Pretty busy these days and time to work on the truck is at a premium.
