  1. Looks good. The best rust coating I have found is POR15. It is super expensive. But nothing else has worked in the ontario salt.
  2. Honestly I miss the wd21 ratio. There is a noticeable difference.
  3. Yours looks like an XE, which would have open front and rear differentials. There was never a factory limited slip option for the front. Those tires don't look the best, and that ground looks soft.
  4. The gearing in the newer transmissions is not the same as the wd21. Your first gear ratio will be different.
  5. I like that oil pressure setup. Space is a little tigher on the wd21 though. What was the thread of the T and sender? I seem to recall it was BSPT but it's been a while...
  6. If the relay or the ignition were the issue, it would either start, or not start.
  7. It might but the hitches were usually dealer installed.
  8. You could contact one of the hitch brands and just ask for the instructions, may even get lucky and find them on the net somewhere. Otherwise I would just try the bolts in the holes and see what happens.
  9. I'm not sure I trust those load testers the parts stores have. I had a battery that would start the truck "okay" but as soon as the temp dipped below freezing it wouldn't turn over at all. But of course it tested "Fine" at Canadian tire, so they wouldn't warranty it. Just for @!*%s and giggles, do you have a battery from another car that would fit? Just for testing.
  10. I like the original finish when they are clean and not scratched/full of brake dust.
  11. Not sure how well this would work but you could try a plastic bag, and then put the cap on. The cap should be sealed regardless or moisture would get in the fluid.
  12. You can get a decent one at princess auto. I think you're getting there but still have massive air in the system. CT is insane expensive for brake fluid. Try somewhere like carquest or a discount parts place.
  13. That is basically the sign of bad connections. The lights draw nothing compared to the starter motor. Give them all a good clean.
  14. Did you bleed the front at all? If you ran it dry there could be air up there. Also the ABS module might need to be activated to bleed properly. Any chance you could drive it somewhere (safely) and get the antilock to come on so it is sitting in a different position? I've had to do that on a car before.
  15. Check the body mount bolts? I know you think it is suspension but I chased a pop in the floor that turned out the body mount had come loose.
  16. It will be the steering stops. Take a look at where they touch on the LCA. Put some grease on the stops and the mount on the control arm.
  17. Yep, been there before on my Xterra. Except mine left me stuck at work! The worst place to be lol.
  18. Nissan has them, they're not very expensive.
  19. Yeah. I looked it up. Everywhere lists 170F or 76C as the OE temp, that is what all of my pathfinders have come with. Great if you live in California or Texas, not so nice up here in the winter, lol.
  20. Don't use compression fittings. Just buy a roll of brake line and run a whole new one. Shouldn't take that long.
  21. Not where I live it won't. The "proper" 170F thermostat leaves you with lackluster heat here in the winter. I use the 180F listed as "alternate temp" and it helps, but you still need to block off the radiator with cardboard. Around here you can drive for 20 minutes and go into a store for 5, the temp is back down to the C on the gauge again. Average temp in January here can get down to -20 or colder with windchill.
