  1. Grab the head from the other motor.
  2. Drove it even further from home, down the Sunshine Coast, British Columbia. Trying to see how many places I can take this truck! 8k put on it this trip so far. And I still have the drive home to Ontario lol.
  3. If you add 1 or 2 of the spacers from Steve, and adjust the front T-bars to match the tires will fit fine.
  4. Supposedly you can upgrade to the 95 version which is not problematic at all. Though I guess that's not an issue for yours now lol
  5. Very rare for the HG to fail on these. Any signs of it being opened up previously? The head colour could have changed due to the oil the PO and you use. Castrol tends to make everything dark like that.
  6. You're right. I get the same hassle at the NY crossing when I would go shopping. And it has been that way for years. I got yelled at once too, it was that trip I took to WA, CA, and TX 8 years ago. They didn't believe a 20 y/o was going on a road trip. Guy even tossed my DSLR camera back in the truck... I about lost it. I've been pulled in for that "inspection" probably 5 or 6 times over the years. They made you unpack it? They did it for me, and left it all over the ground for me to put back together.
  7. I'm in Vancouver BC right now... Was planning on going to Seattle to see Mr.510 since its been about 8 years, but not sure I will with how we get treated at the border these days...
  8. It's probably the oil doing its job. You should never use flushes, just good regular oil changes with quality oil will do the work for you.
  9. Yeah, got here yesterday afternoon. Truck did pretty well, it was pinging a bit in the mountains so I had to keep the revs up and am hoping it was just bad fuel. I'll be out west for a few weeks then heading home mid august.
  10. Put 3 thousand miles on it since Friday. West coast here I come!
  11. My 1994 doesn't have one but my 1995 does. Actually come to think of it my replacement engine had one and I plugged it in, but I don't remember if the old one had it. The replacement was a 1991 JDM pathfinder engine.
  12. Where the phone is will make a big difference. On my way back from Halifax I rode in the back of mine and it is quieter back there. Only place I find mine loud is the door seals and wind noise. Otherwise it is fine.
  13. Use one of those laser temperature readers??
  14. This still sounds like when I (in my young ignorance) put my brake calipers on the wrong sides. It behaved exactly like yours.
  15. That's too high for "normal" operation. If you only flushed the rad, replace it. Also check the actual temp at the sending unit. It should be 180-195F. That's the normal range for these.
  16. I just remembered the guy who started this thread was supposed to send me a box of parts, I never did get those. What a guy.
  17. I know you've probably checked but there could be a pinhole in a line allowing air to get sucked in. Not sure how likely or even possible that is.
  18. Why not use a bolt and nut? Also that high temp silicone is really only useful to hold the gaskets in place while assembling. You need to make sure your hangers are in place and solid or else the y pipe gaskets will keep blowing.
  19. Try the 300zx master? I've been meaning to try this on mine to see what the difference is: http://nissannut.com/projects/SAS_brakes/ 300ZX (Z32) Twin Turbo uses a 1 1/16 Bore size for 90 and 91 ONLY.
  20. Mine was purple after 100,000km so I'd say that fluid is worn out.
  21. To be honest does it really matter? It's just a cooler. As long as its clean and not crusty it shouldn't matter which way fluid flows through it. A filter on the other hand...
  22. There was a guy on here that kept the v belts and used a separate pulley welded on after the last one on the oem piece. I cant find it now but will post it when I do.
  23. Id rather just do a VG33ER. Can attain nearly the same power with less bull@!*% fab work.
  24. If you want to keep the Ac, you could go supercharger from an X or frontier.
  25. Mine aren't that high. If you check the FSM it will tell you the proper pressure for a given temp/humidity level. I find mine takes a while to get to it's coldest in traffic, but that's the nature of a fan clutch system.
