  1. Make sure there is no @!*% in the plug holes before you take the plugs out so nothing gets in there. Then take the plugs out and let it air out for a while. Like fleurys said check your air filter if you got water in there that could bend valves but that is worse case.
  2. Flashing SES light means a misfire is detected. You said it wouldn't crank, you mean the motor won't turn over at all? Does the starter even click. If it won't turn over I would look at the starter and the wires running to it.
  3. The pulley itself is keyed to the crankshaft and (at least mine) can only go on one way. It is when people undo the 6 bolts that hold the 2 parts of it together is when this can happen.
  4. Mine has a whistling noise at the front and it is the bearing in the a/c compressor, the one that it rides on while the a/c is not engaged. I took the belt off and it is so quiet without it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62o-77HablA go to about 40 seconds in and when the a/c compressor turns off you can hear it.
  5. Mine had that random miss and crap mileage too and it turned out I had a defective o2 sensor. Try unplugging the o2 (little tree of plugs near fuel filter) and check for the miss. Couldn't hurt. Does it only miss when warm or does it do it when you first start it as well? If it only does it when warm I would lean toward a sensor issue.
  6. What kind of paint did you use to paint the window switch trims? I like that idea.
  7. https://www.4x4parts.com/nissan/pathfinder-suspension-lift-p-1550.html Depending on how many miles ur rig has you could keep the oem struts but I would suggest new rear shocks.
  8. Where did you get them? I usually buy from rock auto online and the 2 times I had to warranty something I just sent the old one in and as soon as they got a tracking number a new one was on the way.
  9. I would bring it somewhere where you could keep it for a while and look for another good wd21 to transfers all of your mods to. There are a couple wd21s for sale on the local Kijiji here
  10. No return after use? You mean they won't exchange them? How old are they?
  11. So the factory tow hook that is bolted with 2 bolts straight to the frame isn't meant for pulling offroad? @!*%, I didn't know that.
  12. Well I think you are better off towing it with your r50 than a 2.8L jimmy lol.
  13. The last few times I have heard of this happening it has been the torque converter.
  14. The heaviest I have ever towed with an r50 was a wd21 on a dolly. With a 5speed and the 3.3. I didn't even know it was there half the time. With my wd21 though, I have towed a lot more than the 3500lb max capacity. I towed my friends VW Gti on a dual axle car trailer that weighed probably 1800lbs plus the car that was full of parts that weights at least 2000lbs (weight of the car). Plus 3 people in the truck. It would do 100km/h on the freeway. It was revving at about 3500 with od off. It didn't seem to mind it at all. I didn't have a brake control for the brakes so I had to be careful when stopping though.
  15. Remember, the tow capacity is 3500 with a manual, but 5000lbs with an auto. You will be fine just don't drive like an idiot.
  16. I am talking about the rubber one under the boot. They were only 34 bucks at my dealer and they said there was lots left in stock. I went to my dealer and the next morning they were there. Better and faster than making one.
  17. Umm I got a shifter boot from Nissan (two of them actually, one for nismojunky) for 34 dollars. I don't know what dealers you guys go to but 100 is ridiculous. Works way better than some ghetto rigged @!*%.
  18. Leave it stock till you graduate.
  19. I never touch the OD button and my trans is humming along fine at 219,000 miles.
  20. You can go into 4H at speeds up to 50mph in your pathfinder. I wouldn't do it but the manual says it can be done. for 4L you must stop and put the transmission in N.
  21. Check the coolant temp sensor, I know it can make the truck run like total crap when it goes bad. It should be near the upper rad hose the one with the yellow connector. The FSM has the specs for it. Also maybe do a fuel pressure test? But first check for codes, its free and couldn't hurt.
  22. While it obviously doesn't have the same offroad capability as the previous generations, it is still a pretty nice ride. I've driven one a few times and I have to say, it had a lot of power and it rode really nice. My grandparents neighbors have one and they love it. He uses it to go to his hunt camp/tow trailers and whatever else. He said it is 100x better than his old trailblazer. My favorite part is that you can actually have a conversation with someone inside of it on the highway lol.
  23. I was just joking. Filter hoarder! Holy @!*%. That pic looks familiar. Yeah I think I will save a few more pennies and do it all at once. Thank you all!
  24. Actually the number one reason of tbelt failure other than just not changing it is getting coolant on it. Every mechanic I have ever talked to has told me the same thing. Do not get coolant (or anything really ) on the belt.
  25. I hate buying things at walmart. Look at the kind of people that shop there.
