  1. I washed it off with the hose a while ago and it hasn't gone that high since. I guess after all the times I went mudding I should have cleaned it eh?
  2. so there really isn't an error lol
  3. Maybe, it's the original one. But it doesn't overheat fully or leak so I'm not about to spend 200 dollars on a new one.
  4. The ES ones might squeak if you don't grease them enough.
  5. I have a 170 and I find on the real cold days the heat isn't as hot as I'd like it to be, but I am worried that with a 180 it will overheat with the air con on in the summer, as with the 170 I've seen the temperature rise to almost 3/4 on the guage but it normally sits at a 3rd of the way up.
  6. For the radio, the illumination and 12v switched wires are probably mixed up.
  7. That is the unit I have. The way I have it set up, I can easily remove it when I head off for the weekend somewhere. To be honest the factory tweeters are pretty good for what they are, and if it were me I would just leave them alone. Sorry if I came off sounding like an ass earlier it just seems that lately everyone on this site has become such a cheap bastage. Did we all become Italian overnight?
  8. Nige told me some of his parking pawls were worn out, but he has owned his truck for like 11 years or something, but mine has more km's and mine are perfectly fine? His truck is the only time I've heard of them wearing out on these vehicles.
  9. For the battery light, brake light, and A/T oil temp lights being on that is the "code" for a bad alternator. Check at the battery while its running, voltage should be around 13-14 volts
  10. Up and down. I took it to someones place today that knows a lot o about this kinda thing and he said that it is normal for it to have a bit of movement like it does. I'm still not sure, its not like the little disc thing on the drive shaft touches the cover, but it moves.
  11. So I've been battling this vibration issue for what seems like forever, and it is getting worse. I have ruled out the front end as it is perfectly tight and aligned. The universal joints are new and all the weights are on the drive shaft. If you set the cruise at any given speed, the vibe will come and go. I just got my new tires on yesterday and it was the same with the old tires, so I know it is not a tires problem. I even swapped the old tires onto my friends silverado to see and it drove smooth right till 140km/h. But then I noticed, there is play when you grab the drive shaft and try to move it, but at the transfer case. I would say there is about 2-3 mm of play there, you can definitely see it move. So I have a few questions: 1. Could this be causing the wobble at 65km/h~, and the vibe I have at 90-130kmh (it probably does it at higher speeds but the frequency is so high that it is not noticeable). 2. Can this be fixed on the truck? 3. Is it something I could do or do I need special tools (send it into a mechanic)?
  12. I'd be in. For 3 of the 2 1/16" gauges.
  13. If your truck came with 31" tires factory it should have the proper gear on the speed sensor, unless someone swapped it out if the sensor failed and didn't put the right one in. There were 4 different gears IIRC 2 for the MT gear ratio and 2 for the AT ratio. Best bet is to use a gps to confirm this.
  14. People usually want the easiest cheapest thing they can find that will work. Though I am not of this mentality lol.
  15. Cheap systems sound cheap. To be honest if you stick with an el cheapo speaker its worse than the oem speakers which were actually quite nice when new. I put out for the higher end infinity speakers and a good kenwood deck, with an infinity bass-link (compact self powered sub) and it sounds great amazing. Alpine makes great stuff.
  16. You only need to loosen the belts a little and take the 6 bolts out, then the pulley will turn.

    idling ?

Could also be a vacuum leak or coolant temp sensor.
  18. Lies, mine did not, it came with a brush-guard but no hooks.
  19. I wouldn't take them even for 4 bucks! They didn't bite well at all, were noisy and left a crapload of brake dust on the wheels. This was on the maxima but they are practically the same as the pathy pads. On the pathfinder I had raybestos pads before, and now have monroe premiums, quiet and low dust.
  20. You probably could, once all the covers are off but be careful. If it were my truck I would throw a new timing belt on there after making sure all the silt is gone. Also make sure your timing covers go on properly, it shouldn't have been able to get in there!
