  1. Or try gravity bleeding, crack each bleeder and let it go for about 15 mins. Keep an eye on the fluid level at the master though.
  2. Here is rock autos pic of the FEL-PRO RMS for the 2001 pathfinder Sorry, it won't let me post the picture. http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=446598
  3. Just don't show them the Human BeefTM , might get in trouble.
  4. Replaced ALL my vacuum lines and set my alignment as best I could MY1PATH's way.
  5. That trick has saved my ass a few times too. I usually pull the parking brake up a few notches, its because it fools the lsd into thinking the spinning wheel has traction.
  6. Here you go, only 56 bucks each. http://ecat.crosscanadaparts.com/base/welcome.php?year=1998&make=NISSAN&model=PATHFINDER
  7. You don't have to notch the floor you can use a hardbody shifter or bend your shifter forward a bit.
  8. Where can you buy this ground strap stuff, because I think wire might not be a good idea for that close to the exhaust lol.
  9. I'm pretty sure there was an option for a lighted ring around the ignition on the column. I've seen a few pathys of our gen with it and it shows up on courtesy parts.
  10. Check this out, 4x4path94's truck seemed to be eating starters and it had the same symptoms yours did. To fix it we did this mod, and it has worked ever since. http://www.4x4parts.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=315995&an=0&page=0
  11. I would tell them that it isn't the first time that it has leaked, and to check the shaft for any damage. There are repair sleeves you can buy that just slide on to give you a new, smooth surface.
  12. Considering this isn't the first time your RMS is leaking maybe it would be good if they used an aftermarket seal, which, in my opinion would be just as good as oem.
  13. Is the abs light staying off now that you re seated the bulb? That is one weird issue. I would look at the switch, they are known to fail, do you have the cruise control in the switch as well?
  14. 3rd member, rear carrier, yes it is the same thing. What the others were saying is, that you can't put a locker into an LSD rear carrier. But you can put one in an open carrier. If you plan on getting a locker in the future I would just stick with the open, but the LSD is a nice upgrade. You can always just keep your open carrier in the garage for when the day comes that you get a locker. I gave mine away as another member was getting a locker and needed one .
  15. I would like to know where they go as well, if you wouldn't mind snapping a few pictures while you're there. I don't have any of those grounds anymore and while I haven't noticed anything huge, I think a few of my little intermittent electrical gremlins could be related. And I don't think the heat shields (which I still have on) have anything to do with the exhaust stud life.
  16. And my dads 00 had 4.3 gears with a 5 speed and LSD. If you can find an LSD 3rd member with the same gear ratio as your truck you can swap it in. I did that to my wd21, and it would be pretty much the same process on the r50. Basically you: Drain the diff oil Unbolt driveshaft (I didn't have to remove mine, I just slid it all the way into the transmission and tied it out of the way) Disconnect rear brake lines from the drums You may have to unhook your parking brake cable (I didn't but this is on a 95) Remove the 14 bolts holding the 3rd member on Remove the 4 bolts at each drum holding the axle shafts in Now this part is much easier (and safer) with 2 people: Pull on the drums to pull the axle shafts out enough to disengage the 3rd member (you will hear it) Gently work the 3rd member out of the housing. Be careful it is very heavy! Put your new one in, bolt it up but not super tight yet, then slide the shafts in and put it all back together, then torque all bolts to the FSM specs. There is a seal with holes for the bolts in it that came apart on mine. And since it was the weekend there was no way I was getting to the dealer so I used some rtv sealer magregor had and its been working fine for over a year now. Hope this helps.
  17. Hey guys just bought a 2002 pathfinder where do i find lifts and what size tires can i fit thanks.
  18. Front of the LCA: https://www.4x4parts.com/nissan/pathfinder-front-lower-control-arm-front-bushings-p-712.html Rear of the LCA: https://www.4x4parts.com/nissan/pathfinder-front-lower-control-arm-rear-bushings-p-711.html
  19. I got it exchanged under warranty and its been ok for about 1.5 years now.
  20. You could have a defective o2 sensor. Happened to me. Crappy Bosch parts.
  21. I got the ones that needed to be "pressed in" from another member that never used them, and I just used a vice with lots of grease and it popped right in.
  22. Yea we had to cut it in half and extend the mounts so it would sit properly.
