  1. Out of curosity how many miles do have on the tranny? do you have a tranny cooler?
  2. Yep it was right after that I decided it's a keeper......
  3. So as am at odds with keeping my Pathfinder I went to a couple of dealerships today to see what's out there. I was looking at the s10 blazers but there to cramped inside, then I looked at a Jeep grand Cherokee and the only nice looking ones are the 2000 and up, there way to expensive. I looked at a couple of other SUV's but alot of them were obviously not cared for. So after it was all said and done I decided to keep the Pathfinder it runs good and the tranny is strong the only thing that bothers me is the frame surface rust. I know, I know I can treat it. LOL while at one of the dealers a mechanic came up to me and asked me if I wanted to sell my Pathfinder. LOL Moral of the story is sometimes the grass is not always greener.
  4. I agree with veng about those freon in a can crap. Most of the time what happens with those is you introduce air into the system ( did you purge the hoses?) and then you can't get accurate pressure readings. Technically you can't determine how much freon is in the system with pressure readings, the only way to accurately measure your freon is by evactuting, pulling a deep vacccum, testing for leaks and then add freon by measured weight.
  5. Could be the low side pressure switch which kicks the compressor on and off.
  6. Yep I saw that auction what a shame. I guess if you live in a non salt area it's easy to defend the frame thing but for those of us that live in a salt area and don't have time to clean the frame ever other day it's a bitch.
  7. It's true, true, true, this has nothing to do with owner neglect. It's no secret that these frames rust TO easy. I'm at odds myself with to keep this truck or not, I have a lot of surface rust but am sure like mentioned it will only be a short time before it rust through. It's sad because other then the rust problem it's a great truck.
  8. That's exactly why there still on the truck. LOL
  9. Umm.......... How did you remove them?
  10. I hear ya! Just like the rust on the rest of the truck.
  11. So my rusted window moldings are starting to annoy me, anyone come up with a solution other then replace them.
  12. The link is dead.............Anyone got the instructions, I have a second orignal remote but the batteries were out of it and it sat in a draw for a long time, maybe 3 years. I put a battery in it but no go.
  13. I just put in 2 new door speakers and you could notice the high's there also. I have some Sony xplod's that am gonna try and put in the back. Now correct me if am wrong but the back roof mount grille's just pop off right???
  14. Thanks...............Lazy me has been just looking for two bottom seats. LOL............ I also wonder if maybe the smell is coming from the foam cushions.
  15. Well just an update on the manual antenna thing.......The proper way to remove the antenna is as follows. First remove the glovebox door by pressing in on the hinges, then remove the back panel of the glovebox, 6 screws. Then remove the inner fender panel and there lies the antenna cable which you can disconnect and then place a new one in the top of the outer fender.
  16. Can somebody tell me if the rear bottom seats from a 93 SE will fit in a 95 XE? Thanks.
  17. Well you would need to get under there and take a look, my gas smell was from a rottened fuel line but it could be from many different spots. I would fix it as quick as possible though because it can become a dangerous problem.
  18. Start with the timing belt or else......
  19. Are we talking about the line from the master cylinder to the rear axle?
  20. Thanks for the pics, are those the stock grille covers?? I got some Sony Xplod 6x9's that I was going to try and install. I also just ordered some 4" front speakers from crutchfield. While speaking of front speakers how does that door panel come off?
  21. what is the depth size in inches for the ceiling mount?
  22. Thanks, I think that antenna in the front window plays more a part then we think when it comes to radio reception.
  23. Well I butchered the antenna mast. Did you ever feel like something was working fine and you went and messed with it and made it worst? It had a little stubby still left inside and reception was fine but I had to go mess with it. Even after butchering it the reception is still fine. I would replace the whole thing but I think that involves taking the whole fender off. Correct me if am wrong.
  24. Well gas leak is repaired, did what I said and just cut it out and put rubber fuel lines. Now onto my rear seal that's leaking, it never ends.
