Sorry to hear that but don't drive it off the cliff, maybe it's time to sit back have a beer and chalk it up as a learning experience. -alcohol-

I had a electric impact years ago and it was good if you don't have air but there's nothing like a air impact. This is one of the reasons I just brought my truck to the mechanic to do the timing belt I didn't want to spend my whole weekend trying to get the crank pulley off. IMO it's worth paying the $300 in labor. Good Luck

I think you right in a lot of ways and that's what prompted me to inquire about this whole Pathfinder tranny thing. I'm so reluctant to dump money into this newly aquired 95 with 100,000 miles because of the wide spread AT problem. I just dropped $350 on timing belt parts which I couldn't believe the water pump was $100. I also think trying to figure out if your tranny is going to last depends on how you drive and what climate you drive in, am only assuming living in a region like Arizona may give you a shorter tranny life because of the prolonged hot conditions. I also think living in NYC or LA with stop and go traffic can be a tranny killer. I was going to just start with a tranny flush but after reading your post I wonder if that's a smart idea. I will say my tranny seems fine on level pavement but going up steep hills the truck struggles and "once" it slipped when I really laid into the gas pedal to climb the hill so now I don't "gun it" going up hills. I really love this truck but don't have a lot of confidence in the tranny and don't see myself spending $2000 on a tranny.

Would you like to sell it?

Hey would you mind shooting me that tranny shop in NJ info?

I was at the delear and they said that a lighted ashtray for a 95 doesn't exists. So where to get this alleged ashtray?
-
I'm really sorry to hear about your burnt tranny but there is no way I would let Max's off the hook so easy.

The little cubby hole on the left is perfect for a BT headset. The flip down cup holder from ebay is better then any cup holder I ever had. Rear sliding glass doors break to easy, that's alot a weight.

  Are you saying there is suppose to be a light in there

Getting the timing belt changed this week along with water pump, T-stat and my mechanic said to change the tensioner. I plan on going to the dealer to get the parts myself. Thanks everyone for your help.

The one thing I do hate is NO light in the ashtray

I love the simplicity of it.

LOL, Glad to hear I wasn't the only one who stripped those dam Torx screws. I ended up just splicing the connectors from the new light to the existing wire.

So I finally got my factory fog lights working and was dissapointed to see that they only work with the headlights on. So is there a way to get them to work without the headlights on

Thanks, The Katzkin is expensive $400. I heard some complaints about the one's on ebay, not fitting and all. I kinda like cloth better anyway.
-
Anybody know of any nice form fitting seat covers (front and back) for a 95?

Rust adds character! Seriously the tranny and motor is going to go before any of that rusts through.

Put a amp meter on your truck with everything running.

I ordered the one that wheelman has (had), a guy on ebay is selling them 2 for $20.

I'm sure you could pick one up at a junk yard. I would be careful though one good size bump and it could shatter the window. It's alot of stress for only ONE hinge you might want to go with two.

I was thinking about drilling with a 3'' hole saw bit on the driver's side of the emergency brake ( not underneath brake) but where there is that semi level non used area. Then take one of those foam like can holders ( great for condensation) and trim to fit the depth and slip it in the hole. I wonder if there is wires directly under that piece of plastic. I don't why they didn't utilize that area for a cup holder in the first place.

Thanks! I did see that on my first approach of a search, it was the only one an originated 2 years ago so I thought it would be safe to get another cup holder thread going, but I guess not.
