  1. should be interesting to see how the 3/16'th holds up. my 1/8" got bent to hell. from now on I wont use anything but 1/4". didnt watcht the video cause my comp sux. but for tire placement, I would mount the thing as hi as I could. Im using the stock carrier but moved my mount up 3" and am wishing I would have got another inch. when I come off rock ledges I always hit my tire.
  2. hmm. havent really had a problem with mine bottomin out. then again I dont intentionaly jump it. tho ive been told my front tires are rarely on the ground, but I dont know if thats true.
  3. I dont know why youd want stiffer tbars. I have a custom bumper(2"x3/16" tubing and 1/8" plate) and a 9500lbs winch and my stock tbars are fine. and they have 280k km. they flex nice too.
  4. if your not gona sas then 3+3. thats what I had and liked it. besides the fact that BL suck. now im just on a BL because of laws but clear my 33" FINE. I had no rubbing on 15x8 with 4"bs. When I sas, I may or maynot remove the BL. the only reason I would keep it is that it makes working on the truck sooooo easy. infact it makes it so easy, when I replaced trans I put the 3" in just so I could get to all the bolts easier. if I had another chance, I may just keep it all stock with a MINOR suspension lift(more less get it back to stock height) upgrade the steering and run some wide 31's. that way I would have saved money and could sas alot sooner.
  5. belive its just a mater of swapping cam gears. and using the 100k tensioner.
  6. lmao. my school really isnt that bad tho. I used to go to a private school for many years and there codes were WAYYY more strict then what I have at my school now(public school). but there isnt really too much of a difference. only diffence is that chicks get away with shorter skirts and lower cut tops. but its really not that bad. I have to right the final copy on friday. and I only have 50 min to write so its not going to be very long. I do like the recovery idea to tho. hmmm that maybe a good one.
  7. like the idea about the dress codes and the affects there would be without it. May actually do that. TTHANKS NISMO!!!!! oh wait. thats too easy. school would just be a whore house
  8. yaya. Actually, buddy told me I should do it on the ECU codes too.
  9. have my grade 12 final exam for english. Looking for some ideas on what to write about. What ever I chose to write about, it has to somehow relate to the theme of the exam, which is Codes. when I say codes, I mean everything from locker combinmations to dress codes. couple friends are writing about dress codes in schools. I know some are writing short stores (about a war and how one side wins because they were able to communicate in code). My problem is that I cant write about stuff if im not %110 interested in it. so first thing that comes to mind if cars/trucks/wheeling. just cant deside what to write about. any ideas on what to write about? can be a short story, essay, poem, ect. my other problem is that I just HATE english class. never have liked it.
  10. no, you can get SE's with leather. there not that rare in Canada I guess. both 94's had/have heated seats. one both worked. the other, dont know. trucks just sitting collecting snow. waiting for some spring time love!
  11. Just to make sure big guy, you do know that I NEVER said the quailty of these frames are good, or anywere near that. right? NEVER said it was all because of lack of maitness. Did say quality care goes a long way with these frames. had a perfect example of this last year. had a 94 pathy that was in manitoba ALL its life. we use ALOT of salt up here. and it had NO frame rot. Please show me a car that is 13 years old. that has had NO care WHAT SO EVER, that is in good shape. back to the topic tho, $500 sounds alright. if you brought it to my house Id do it for $200-$300 based on what ive seen in the pics. but im in Winnipeg.
  12. 88's right. You have ot be a fawkin idiot to blame nissan that YOUR frame fell apart because YOU didnt mantain it, like THEY stated in the manual. take any new car, and dont preform proper maitness on it and see what shape its in, 13 years down the road. see how long that new motor lasts when you dont replace the oil. or air filter. plugs. oitfilter. list goes on, and on, and on...you CANT say those are a different thing. its ALL maitness. all manufactures state that you have to do different things for different vehicals. and on the pathfinder one of them was to clean the frame. if the frame roted away like that a year after you bought it you may have some ground. but not 13 years later. those pictures just show you what lazyness gets you. maybe we should start a lawsuit because our gas tank was empty a week after we bought our new car
  13. DAMNIT! 88 beat me again! AARRG. are you just ALWAYS on here 88? cause I am and you still beat me to it
  14. compression rod. not uncommon for then to wear out. a JY will have it. PITA to get out. but do able. you can drive with out it. I dont recommend it. I have driven around with out one. nothing broke or got worse. only drove it for 2 days tho. all in all, its not a big deal. go find one at a JY. its 2 bots/nuts on the LCA side. and a big nut on the frame side.
  15. STEERING. one of the first things to do. if its an auto. the FIRST thing to do is put a trans cooler in. body lifts are cheap. if you do it yourself its not gona cost more then $100 for a BL. suspension lift. you can get 3" of sus lift for under $150. more like $100(alot less if you look for deals). just go to a JY and find a set of 92-97 jeep grand cherokee FRONT coils. cut pig tails off and slap em in the rear-good for 3". front just crank your Tbars up. you can get 3" with stock UCA. and find a shop that will align it. there ARE shops that WILL align it. it just takes time to find one. but you really dont NEED too get an align ment. you can toy with the toe super easy. and camber, it will wear your tires on the inside. but just rotate em often(what, a 30min job at home?). and onces there all decently worn. take em to a shop and have them swap around. so the orignal inside is now the outside. youll get lots of life out of your tires. I drove around with cranked Tbars(3" in front) for 15 000 km on brand new A/T's. the inside was a HAIR over 1/32 less tread then the outside.
  16. agreed. LSD's suck compaird to lockers. but the WD21 LSD was a DAMN good unit. and if your not going to mod the truck any, the LSD makes a WORLD of difference in the pathys. I LOVE my LSD. but a locker is wayyyy better. classic 2 door. with NO power options at all. NOTHING. I would like one with out a radio even.the only electronic thing I would like is a blower motor. but NOTHING else.
  17. 88 answerd your question alread. not unless you tear the whole trans apart, and only then will you access the bands. this trans is NOTHING like your jeeps trans. NOTHING. if the devil ever produced a trans, the RE401A would be it.
  18. Get me a pic of what burnt and ill see if I can get a pic of one of mine. I think I have an 88 auto ECU around here. I know I have a couple 88 manuals.
  19. have fun getting the bolts back in there...
  20. AFAIK there is no such thing as a high preformance MAF. a new MAF is gona kill your wallet.
  21. get a cheap car to drive around. I just got a cheap car today actually. 91 sunbird that needs a head gasket and its good to go. was my buddies, we started pulling the head off. got it all apart. didnt have time to work on it for 2 weeks. in those 2 weeks he bought a kickass nissan pulsar(with a parts car that has the DOHC engine that we are currently working on getting out and rebuilding). anyways, His mom gets pissed off today and says he has to get rid of one car(2 pulsars, a 90 B2 on 35's, the sunbird, and a POS caprice. and his brother have just as many toys. all on a city lot!) so he gives me the sunbird. Im going to swap headgaskets and sell it to fund the pathy. long story short, if you have to have a reliable car. sell the dub, buy a cheap car to drive around. that way if the pathy or the chit box break down, you still have another car for the day or two that you have to get the other fixed.
  22. well, you dont state what you drive. but if its a WD21 there will only be on O2 and it will be under the drivers seat. between the cat and the Ypipe.
  23. id like to say 55. but seems I always want to go 65-which always sux the gas back quick.
