  1. light off. when the botton is in power mode, your trans will still shift into OD. when your OD button is off, your trans wont shift into OD. wish pre 94's had that.
  2. have very little experience with R50's off road, but from what ive seen... guy at the local 4 wheeling whole had an R50. nice guy, nice truck. 31" BFG's. we went down some trails and it seemd that he was dragging a decent amount more then I was(I too was on 31's) plus the WD21's LSD's are much nicer then R50's and, If I must drag somthing on a rock, I like it to be my frame, not my body... sssh like ive said, I havent had a ton of experiece with R50's. so its MO
  3. R50's are great on the sity and gravel roads. I would argue about the stock R50 and Stock WD21 offroad tho. I love my WD21 to the bone. It has cost me right around $110 for 6" of lift, and upgraded steering. IMO thats not bad at all. it just takes some time and tools.I couldnt wheel an R50. to me its like beating up a good truck. my WD21 I beat the snot outa, and so far the only things that have bust are steering(stock, IA shaft bent and a bent TRE) and CV's(on rocks and got wheel hop are usually what kills me. gone threw 3 of them.). obviously if its a daily driver, and used for fishing and hunting get a R50. there nice trucks. if you looking to spend a whole weekend in the middle of no wear jsut to explore/test the limits of your truck, purly for fun, get a WD21. oh, and some missed informed you, 2 doors are better then 4!!!
  4. if you wash your truck your frame wont rust nearly as bad. We had a 94 pathfinder that had jsut rolled over 300 000km (all of which were in canada) and the frame was near new. I have yet to see a pthfinder frame that good. my 89 has just recently rusted threw on the inside. I took one evening and fix it all up. I also just finished welding up our 95's frame. there was very little left. took a whole day to do. but saved me TONS of money. granted I ownd my own welder and know how to weld.
  5. id atleast put something over the back whole. duct tape or somthing.
  6. all personal preference. and IMO, It ALL depends on the setup/build. IS can be just as good as SO and vise versa. its up to YOU to deside what you want/need. join a local 4wheeling club. go out wheeling with them and see what you like. there will be guys with SA and you will see how thos preform. I too will be going solid within the next year. hopfully next summer. IFS jsut breaks to much.
  7. dont worry about your electical. I spray everything(I mean everything) down with a 2400PSI washer and have never had a problem.

    Snorkels

um... the 87-95 is actually 90-95.
  10. replacing a belt is easy. hardest part is getting the belt over the fan.
  11. 88, theres a whole thread on your favarite site. ill snag the URL. and that truck WAS a TBI. its an 87 with a complet VG30ET swap from an 84 zipzap.
  12. well, do you have a MPFI or a TBI? a vortec wont work. there simply is no place to put it. and making adaptors for the SC-intake man. isnt all that hard. the pics and videos on LP's site are using steel adaptors, which are much easier and cheaper then making aluminium. if you have a TBI, a roots style charger is way easier IMO. there is a guy in my city that has transplanted a VG30ET into a first gen, TBI pathfinder. ill go find pics of it right now for you.
  13. snorkels are kool. I use mine every time I go wheeling. usually every weekend. but to cut up a beutiful truck like yours, I just dont know If I could do it :sniff:
  14. rears may, fronts dont. 93/94 nissan changed the design of the front bumpers as well as bumper brakets. all bumper brakets can be swaped, as long as the corrisponding bumper is swaped too.
  15. found another thorley problem. copy/pasted for N4W:
  16. are any of the LED's supposed to be on while driving? my red ones on all the time.
  17. saw that you were reading the how too, but just incase you missed it, Use Mode I to determine if the Oxygen Sensor is functioning properly. Warm the engine to normal temperature. Run the engine above 2000 RPM under no load while looking at the ECU. Make sure the GREEN LED goes on and off more than five times during ten seconds at 2000 RPM. If the number of flashes are not more than five, replace the oxygen sensor. If the LED does not flash, check the sensor's circuit.
  18. 2 30ft ropes. 4 clevis'. 10 ft chain. 60" high lift. flolding shovel. axe.
  19. yes, you will use mode one on your ECU. check in the how too's(in the garage) for a better description.
  20. 31's will not rub on stock rims. slick, I think yours rubed because of your rims.
  21. anyone pulled injectors on a TBI unit? ive heard they are a big PITA. anyone care to enlighten me? also, anyone know the flow rates of the stock TBI injectors? I know MPI injectors are 180 IIRC.
  22. replaced 02 sensor. now I got, 11 21 33 45 at this rate it will be cheaper to scrape this truck and buy another one
  23. can some one tell me which wire is the signal wire on an 89 02? must have been replaced as its only a three wire. theres red, white, and black. my other O2 sensor has 2 whites and one black. the black is the signal wire. help quick please!!!
  24. ya, figured it would be useless. ended up drilling another hole and welding a nut on for the othe O2. the O2 is for a 94. I have an 89. so we will see. it was only like 10 bucks, so if it dont work, who cares. if it does, all the better.
