  2. replacing a belt is easy. hardest part is getting the belt over the fan.
  3. 88, theres a whole thread on your favarite site. ill snag the URL. and that truck WAS a TBI. its an 87 with a complet VG30ET swap from an 84 zipzap.
  4. well, do you have a MPFI or a TBI? a vortec wont work. there simply is no place to put it. and making adaptors for the SC-intake man. isnt all that hard. the pics and videos on LP's site are using steel adaptors, which are much easier and cheaper then making aluminium. if you have a TBI, a roots style charger is way easier IMO. there is a guy in my city that has transplanted a VG30ET into a first gen, TBI pathfinder. ill go find pics of it right now for you.
  5. snorkels are kool. I use mine every time I go wheeling. usually every weekend. but to cut up a beutiful truck like yours, I just dont know If I could do it :sniff:
  6. rears may, fronts dont. 93/94 nissan changed the design of the front bumpers as well as bumper brakets. all bumper brakets can be swaped, as long as the corrisponding bumper is swaped too.
  7. are any of the LED's supposed to be on while driving? my red ones on all the time.
  8. saw that you were reading the how too, but just incase you missed it, Use Mode I to determine if the Oxygen Sensor is functioning properly. Warm the engine to normal temperature. Run the engine above 2000 RPM under no load while looking at the ECU. Make sure the GREEN LED goes on and off more than five times during ten seconds at 2000 RPM. If the number of flashes are not more than five, replace the oxygen sensor. If the LED does not flash, check the sensor's circuit.
  9. 2 30ft ropes. 4 clevis'. 10 ft chain. 60" high lift. flolding shovel. axe.
  10. yes, you will use mode one on your ECU. check in the how too's(in the garage) for a better description.
  11. 31's will not rub on stock rims. slick, I think yours rubed because of your rims.
  12. anyone pulled injectors on a TBI unit? ive heard they are a big PITA. anyone care to enlighten me? also, anyone know the flow rates of the stock TBI injectors? I know MPI injectors are 180 IIRC.
  13. replaced 02 sensor. now I got, 11 21 33 45 at this rate it will be cheaper to scrape this truck and buy another one
  14. can some one tell me which wire is the signal wire on an 89 02? must have been replaced as its only a three wire. theres red, white, and black. my other O2 sensor has 2 whites and one black. the black is the signal wire. help quick please!!!
  15. ya, figured it would be useless. ended up drilling another hole and welding a nut on for the othe O2. the O2 is for a 94. I have an 89. so we will see. it was only like 10 bucks, so if it dont work, who cares. if it does, all the better.
  16. search. you will have to make an air box made that will fit on top of the TBI. the ARB snorkel will mount to the 2doors, but under the hood you will still have to figure someing out.
  17. can you clean your 02 sensor? is so, how? ordered my 02 sensor and they sent out the wrong one. mine is out so I figure if I can clean it, no time better then now.
  18. nothing AFAIK. I didnt even know they made autos. I havent heard of anybody having manual headers that DIDNT fit an auto. all you need to do to make the thorelys fit your R50 SHOULD be just a new Y/down pipe(s) *EDIT* Damn, Mr T beat me to it.
  19. Just a FYI, you can mount a left hand steering box on the right side frame to eliminat the idle arm. no more bend arms/IA shafts.
  20. I have 6" lift and 33's with and LSD and go everywhere guys with rubi's and 35's go. granted they do have more power and can race up sand hills no problem.
  21. its polly bushings. you will have to learn to live with it. you can remove them and grease them, but it will only last for a little while. after that they will start up again.
  22. well after a quick seach, looks like distributor and the little black box beside the coil will need to be replaced. but I also found a guy saying that he found JSUT the crank postion sensor. heres the info: www.net-parts-express.com part# NI036449 Made by FACET Site says: "Crank Position Sensor fits O.E. Dist #'s 22100-16E00 22100-16E03 CRANK ANGLE SNR" anyone have any thoughs on what I should do? sounds like code 11 mixed with my 02 could be a cause of @!*%y milage, power, and rich smell. also, my truck wants to stall upon first start(about first 1-2 min of start up) and has a good hesitation/almost miss sound at 3500-4500ish also almost stall when accelerating from stops. but only some of the time. some days its every stop, others it will never happen. any thoughs?
  23. finaly pulled my codes on my 89 VG30i. not as bad as I though it would be, but still... anyways, heres the damage: 11: Crank Angle Sensor/Camshaft Position Sensor 21: Ignition Signal 33: 02 sensor 02 will be replaced this weekend if it comes in. now the other two tho... the ignition signal I have no clue where to look. only shop manual we have is for 94 and I cant find anything on it. but from the diagrams in the shop manul, the Camshaft position sensor is built into the distributor, and and the igniton coild is wired to the position sensor. so im woundering if fixing code 21 will help with 11. just a shot in the dark tho. anyone have any clues on where to start with codes 21 and 11? thanks alot, Dallas
