  1. what shift kit are you putting in? last time I checked trans-go kits were around $50, no where near 200!!!
  2. ya, I screwed up. meant to say PCV, not EGR. did you notice any difference with the spacers?
  3. OMG. that is disgusting. I pulled the TBI off my 88 and there was very minimal crap build up. there was some black @!*%, but nothing that I would even bother cleaning off(and in a freak when it comes to my motor). so today I pulled my 89 TBI off and OMG, that was completly discusting. I have NEVER EVER seen somthing that dirty and just  the 2.5" hole in the intake manifold where the TBI mounts to was discusting. you could not see ANY EGR or PCV tubs. and after digging threw 3/16" of crud, I could make out where each port was supposed to be. I then took a shop vac and a screw driver and dug/sucked all the crap outa the ports. Is the EGR that little peice that screws into the intake man. and has the rubber hose going to the right(passanger) side valve cover? 88, how did you manage to make TB spacers and still have enough bolt to hold the TBI on?
  4. I would go with 4". I never ever rubed with 4" BS, 3" sus lift and 31's. I would not run anything bigger then 10.5 tires on 4.5" of BS. with my 33x12.5 on 4" BS I am about 1/4" from the frame on the front at full lock.
  5. I lifted my truck from my rockers. no problem at all. with 33's and 3-4" sus lift my jack wouldnt life the body high enought to go inbetween the frame, and still feel safe about the amount of wood being used.
  6. hey, im some snot kid too(17 also) and Ill admit, I beat the chit outa my truck. but I love the thing to death. if I break somthing, good. it was gona break anyways. ill just make it better, bigger, and stronger. and FYI, red lines 6 tho. and with dirty threes on, that little red line is touched a decent amount nah, jkjk. I get scared 4500 and back off. it aint a race car.
  7. pulled the TBI off my 88 cause it looked to be in much better shape and has alot less milage. anyways 88, what was that port/tube that was completely clogged on yours? and anyone know what all is done on a P&P of the TBI? polishing the TBI looks to be relitacly easy, but what is there to port on this thing? I see a few minor things that could be done, but nothing really jumps out.
  8. its $5 at walmart for a tire swap(removal and instal). we have a tire stand. but for $5 its not worth our time. for a M/T tire I would get it done and balanced. I never balanced any tires before and never had a problem. but I bought my first set of M/T's(Xterrians) and had them mounted and balanced. one tire has a very small weight while another has almost 1/4 rim full.
  9. then they start to wheel.... stock bumpers dont last long at all if your trying to have fun too. if you follow the beaten path there shouldnt be anyproblem.
  10. ummm, stock bumpers may relocat easy. ones welded on dont. whey your trying to keep bumpers as small as possible out back, its hard to hide the gap and be over the frame rails. plus, when I fell in a hole one time, both rear blolts broke and I managed to loose a block completly. I later removed the other rear block, cut some steel, and weldd the blocks to the body and then just bolted the blocks down. the only good thing about body lifts are that they make it much easier to work on the drivetrain.
  11. I soak everything down with degreaser. then spray the chit outa everything. clean water is the least of my electical worries.
  12. I HATE bodylifts. they look like @!*%. but whatever. I still had to force myself to do one. I noticed a differents in bodyroll. honestly, if I was to do my path again, I would upgrade my steering, crank my tbars abit for GC issues, and threw a set of nice 31" muds on it. I went the other way and put a bunch of lift on, but ****** tires. I almost killd myself after going to a good tire and realizing how much they help offroad.

  14. mine is... ummm... -thnkboutit- I dont have one. probly should with my ****** ass electical luck.
  15. should have just started it back up and driven to the sation. my truck will run for about another mile after it "runs out". only if it runs out when Im given her. if im just coasting and it runs out ill usually only go for another 2 blocks after I re-start.
  16. Calamine, AC, Roughcountry, Rancho, and Trailmaster all make(or made) lifts for the pathies. some were for HB's but there all the same. kinda.
  17. ummm.. if the water was up to your windsheild you got some bigger problems man. all your breather hoses for your trans, tcase and front diff are on your fire wall. and you would've had water in you engine no matter what(unless you had a snorkel). and you would have to be pretty much vertical to be able to have water up to you windsheild and NOT hit your ecu. never mind the massive amount of water that would come into your heating unit. now, if water was just splashed up that high you would be ok, but othere wise, you got alot of work ahead of you. ALOT!
  18. Go to the junkyards and pull one off. I got mine from a dodge van. ford exploders with the towing package have real nice coolers too.
  19. I belive the bumper has to come off. there are bolts welded onto the back of the corners and nuts that hold them on.
  20. meh, ive run out many, many, MANY times(12-15 times) and my pumps still fine. *knock on wood*
  21. keep us updated!!! I am tryng to deside between a chapion or Tmax. whats better, 3.6 hp and a 294:1 gear or 6.6hp and 172:1???
