That looks like a FSJ D44 converted to coils... is that right? Have more info on it? I am thinking of doing something similar as there is no way I am using leafs.

I happen to like pirate. They have low tolerance level for idiots and people who don't read FAQs.

tires, tires, tires, TIRES! Most important thing out there. A stock truck on good MTs will run circles around a lifted truck on crappy ATs. Too often I run into stupid punks with lifted Sidekicks on 35s and bald as hell tires (usually purchased from Jeep guys: 4x 35" MTs 50% tread left, $100 OBO) and I have to pull those morons out of places that they shouldn't be stuck in. Then they watch in awe as my little truck on 32"s idles away into the distance.

Perhaps in their experience some lifts involving drop brackets might interfere with their headers?

WHAT DID FIVE FINGERS SAY TO THE FACE????? -
That's perfectly normal.

So the fan is ALWAYS on when the ignition is on? Wouldn't that be a large unnecessary current draw? You don't have an override switch or anything?

That crosspipe looks VERY low hanging... How much lower than a stock one would you say it is? I am seriously contemplating exhaust manifold options and I am not sure if this would fit with the skidplates I have. -
Get new t-bar adjusting bolts and nuts and then reindex your torsion bars. They may still have some life left in them. EDIT: why do you keep attaching unrelated images to every single one of your posts?

grr. as if JGC coils arent hard enough to find...
Filthy Luker replied to DSM_guy's topic in General Forums
I respectfully disagree. I've been running those coils for a while now with the proper 3" lift RS9000X shocks and I've never had an issue. Quite possibly I wheel harder and more often than 95% of the people in this forum, and this setup allows me to flex like mad off road and due to the spring rate I can load up the trunk area with my winch, full size spare, tools, hi-lift, spare parts, chains, etc.... and the back end just loves it (ok that sounded a bit dirty). sly Perhaps you had some crazy long travel shocks and had bad experience with this setup, but I know that I am not the only one running those coils with either the RS9000x or RS5000 shocks, as few of my friends run them without any issues as well. -

I've been running Ford F100 coils for long time and I love 'em. Have you tried looking for those? -
Bud, you have no idea how much I am looking forward to those... I am also looking forward to running some mucky trails myself sly

But I've been here shorter! -
That's insane pricing for tranny rebuild! It's about $1000-$2000 for either a wrecker tranny or a rebuild here and that's in Canadian currency so it would be about 20+% higher than in US Dollars. Did you call around? This sucks bad man... I had the same problem pretty much exactly one year ago and decided to have the tranny rebuilt.

BTW http://www.japaneseusedautoparts.com/ in Scarborough has the pump for $56 as listed on car-parts.com also Mega City Auto Recycling 9198 6th Line North, RR #3 Georgetown, ON L7G 4S6 905-457-5713 1-877-777-4142 Fax: 905-877-8135 I kid you not though... full fledged bearing shops are awesome, I get my alternator bearings for $11 from them (PA doesn't have that size)
-
When it warms up i gotta make a trip to the wreckers... There is a good one in Georgetown. I'll let you know.. in the meantime, there are some PS fluids you can buy at Crappy Tire, maybe just flush the fluid and see what happens? If it's a bearing, then take the pump apart and go to a bearing shop to find a new one... Even Princess Auto has many popular bearing sizes in stock for like $5 each.

Take it off, disassemble, clean the roof and the pads. Make sure your M1 through M4 measurements are correct and reinstall. Should fix all problems.

$300? GO OUT AND BUY THAT SUCKER RIGHT GODDAMN NOW!

I CHECKED MY BACKGROUND BUT EVERYTHING IS OK!? Did I do this right???
-
I have no idea what is going on in this thread.... Isn't this info in your profile anyways?
-
Please do. I love reading technical writeups, you find out quite a bit about what's actually good for your vehicle. Tech docs for me are much more interesting than sales broshures. Seriously if I am wrong I'll admit it.

Where do you guys pull all this crazy misinformation on brakes from?

How are your tires, suspension, skidplates, and recovery gear? sssh

I got my transmission and transfer case off those guys last year... they're a 10 minute drive from me so it's convinient. I also get my starters and alternators off them.. I know that they charged $500 CDN for my buddy's Pathfinder replacement engine... I always ask them if they'd be willing to bring a diesel Terrano front clip but they laugh at me. Fine I say... you have entire Skyline GT-Rs and EVO VII front clips all over the place but you won't bring me a truck one..
