  1. Yea.. I have mixed feelings on it. I love the worksmanship and the sheer beauty of the bumper, but for myself I am going to make something with a bit more of approach angle to complement my low ride height Which brings me to the cool rear one that neri33 did. It seems quite a bit larger than a stock bumper, do you find that it cuts away from your departure angle? I find that my spare tire is my limit right now, and I want to relocate it higher and closer to the truck because i tend to drag it everywhere I go. pssd Also there doesn't seem to be a way of using a Hi-Lift on anything but the front of the vehicle... is there something hidden you've devised? I've seen angled rocksliders tha have Hi-Lift ports to lift up the truck. Is that what the holes are for in the rear?
  2. No it won't. And as a bonus you get to turn off the sucker so spinning blades won't bend in the water.
  3. and here I thought this is the Pathfinder OFF-ROAD Association
  4. It can be a variety of things, but I think the best thing to do is to get the poor thing to a Nissan Dealer to have it properly diagnosed.

    UCA's

LOL.. no worries! New UCAs will allow you to correct upper ball joint angles, and get proper steering geometry. So yea, you need to get it aligned for sure. Tricky parts? Probably dealing with the upper link spindle through will be fun.

    You kiddin' right?
  7. Son you need to hit some real trails someday. You got very very lucky. On longer water crossings as soon as the filter gets wet enough it stalls the engine and you end up sitting in 4 feet of water. It's even worse when you're stuck and you're givin 'er hell to spin those mudders, and there is a lot of air being drawn in to the engine. Basically unless all you do is desert or rocks, you need a snorkel.
  8. That HAS to be covered from all sides. There is no way anyone would be risking their engine like that.
  9. Actually that's how much those 4.0L Pathys are rated for out of the factory. sly
  10. Too you can't change the pics with ones of goatse. :X
  11. Electric rad cooling fan instead of the belt driven one maybe? Is that what you're talking about? Picture or a link would be nice.
  12. Really? I thought they're banned outright. I should look into it myself, I love winter wheeling and appearantly chains are incredible.
  13. Aren't they illegal in Ontario?
  14. Buford T. Justice: Where are you, you sombitch? Bandit: Before I tell you where I am, Sheriff, there's just one thing I wanna say. You must be part coon dog, 'cause I've been chased by the best of them, and son, you make 'em look like they're all runnin' in slow motion. I just wanna say that. Buford T. Justice: Well, thank you, Mr. Bandit. And as the pursuer, may I say you're the goddamnedest pursuee I've ever pursued. Now that the mutual bull@!*% is over, WHERE ARE YOU, YOU SOMBITCH? Also LOL at the 2WD Pathy owner questioning a CB and calling his truck a "rig" sssh
  15. Anything is possible. But i can pretty much guarantee that it would be cheaper, easier, and much faster to sell your 2WD and get a 4WD one instead.
  16. Yep... The only thing is that you need to keep something in place of the alternator, like some kind of a pulley or a blank alternator with the coils taken out, because the same belt drives the water pump. Unless you wanna keep the second one and use it as an on board welder.
  17. That looks very similar to JPs bumper:
  18. Did you retrofit your truck with the old WD21 autotragic hubs then?
  19. Although it may seem rather bland, the forum is extremely easy and non-tiring to read. I hate it when I get a headache from looking at some of the stylized forums out there. The main site could use an overhaul however. Do you have other links to show your work?
  20. Amperage is wattage divided by voltage, hence if you have 2x100W lights then it's 200/12 = 16.666 AMPs so a 20-25 AMP fuse should be enough.
  21. Sounds like the kind of trail i usually go solo at...... (with a winch) Good luck mang... I know what it feels like to leave the bitch behind you on the trail. It don't feel good, and the one time I had to do it we did have a winch in the crew. EDIT: WINCH... WINCH... WINCH... WINCH...
  22. True.. but the cheapies won't last as long as these, plus the money from eBay i'd spend on beer, so all that would do is make my ass bigger.
  23. I am sorry but the pictures are no longer available. However it's VERY easy to mount the alternator in place of the AC compressor. Basically you can get a proper diameter bolt that goes through the mounts and use either washers or nuts to space the offset properly. Then you just fab up an tension adjuster and get a longer belt. Dang.. it's hard to describe but it's really really easy. I remember we fabbed it all up pretty much totally @!*%faced in one night.
  24. Same bolt pattern but the offset is terrible for our trucks. Basically if it's a daily driver it will look silly because the wheels will be too much in, and at any kind of real flex your tires and wheels will hit the frame. I have used once a 17x8" wheel off a Supercharged Fronty/Xterra and i wasnt able to put a finger between the frame and the tire. That's how close it is. You'll need a spacer, but in all honesty you can probably find a better wheel somewhere else. If you really want some slick stuff take a look at the teflon Chambers: http://www.americanracing.com/wheels/detai...alloy&section=S or Mojaves: http://www.americanracing.com/wheels/detai...inish&section=S or Victors: http://www.americanracing.com/wheels/detai...inish&section=S
  25. I see what you're saying, but I got three sets of PIAA lights to work with. Two will go to the front (the separate 4" Fog lights, and 2" driving lights) as well as my four 130W 6" off road lights that I put on for the trails. So there is the combo fog/driving set to put on the back. I see what you're saying about buying cheapo lights for that, but I paid $40 CDN which is just over $30US for the PIAA 940s. Either way I think you'll all like the end result. I have something very cool looking in mind, all part of my custom bumpers project. Definitely will be a wild looking and well functioning setup. Now I am going mental to find a pair of 2" round orange turn signals. Grrr... everything is either 2" LED or 2.5" disposable marker lights.
