  1. While it may seem worthless for people that just want lifted trucks, if you outfit a stock vehicle with a winch bumper and a winch the stock t-bars won't be up to the task and will sag. If you try to crank the stockers back up again the ride will be super stiff and crap. Hence small lift but higher spring rates on those t-bars. It's not all about maximum lift for some. Sure it looks good but for example my truck is super low compared to many others yet I can go over stuff that many of the 3+3 rigs only dream about. It's all how well your suspension works. I set up my suspension to move UP and DOWN not just UP as most people have with maxed out t-bars riding on bumpstops. In fact it's pretty much ALL about downtravel. I am finding that my mild suspension lift does cause some annoying rubbing with my 32"s but I am going to install a very small, 1" perhaps body lift to solve the issue. I like my truck with a nice low center of gravity so I am doing only what's absolutely necessary. EDIT: I think that it should be said that if one's looking for a suspension lift for their Nissan truck they should factor in the cost of aftermarket steering system into their budget. Stock stuff just ain't cutting it with lifts or larger tires.
  2. You wanna make me jelous? SAS that R50... then we'll talk.
  3. Exactly! That's why there should be a paypal (or some other e-pay system if you hate paypal like me) account set up with a listing of how much it costs to run this place, and how much has been collected so far. All donations volountary. Nothing more, nothing less. If you get more, then you have all sorts of stupid issues arising.
  4. R50s to the back of the line!
  5. There are quite a few Terrano/Pathfinder Diesels in Canada nowdays. You can even find a Patrol, all thanks to the 15 year or older breaks in import laws. check with these dudes: http://www.mustang.bc.ca/
  6. Why bother... there already is a pretty good manual only one click away :help: :type: if all else fails and the less sharp ones still have issues searching, we can change the focus of the board from trucks to fruits.
  7. Try it with: L&P +centerlink sly
  8. I was "THIIIISSSSS" close of posting something on that subject. I felt that i shouldn't hate and love my truck in one post at the same time...
  9. That's not neat.. That's a sign of crappy open diffs in action. As for me loving my truck? First time I fell in love with it when we went to pick it up from the Nissan dealer after we had to wait a few weeks for it to arrive from the factory. It was sitting there in the lot all pretty and ready to rock with it's casette/AM/FM stereo and those gigantic (and useless) speaker boxes in the trunk area. Ever since then I have been falling in love with it over and over again.. mainly due to my surprise at it as for how much punishment it can take and how capable it is off road.
  10. Looks pretty stout yet not too heavy. Are you gonna mount the winch behind the plate with just the fairlead bolted on sticking outside? Would there be enough room for that?
  11. Don't you see... "INSTEAD OF...." posting a proper response i posted something unrelated. :type:
  12. That's my friend's Pathfinder... or what was left of it. He was hit in the left rear corner by an idiot driver who decided to cut across all lines of a highway to get off at an exit that he was was about to miss. The Pathy rolled about three times. My friend was completely fine.
  13. Why don't you adjust your wheelstops to limit the max lock.
  14. Why didn't he turn around his snorkel intake?
  15. So how do I tell if I have limited slip? sly
  16. Bah... sounds like it would be cheaper to just get nice aftermarket wheels. Have you searched TireRack.com?
  17. The bolt pattern is the same... The offset should be similar.
  18. You can get airbags to help out a bit. It's not that expensive.
  19. Will we get a larger PM inbox? On the forum that I administer I increased the PM inbox to 1000, outbox to 1000 and sentbox to 1000! LFMAO It made people very happy.
  20. I've heard of it done but the best way was to get a whole parts truck and transplant all the necessary components over. Good luck... My AT died at the beginning of the year and I decided to get it rebuilt. As much as I hate Autotragic transmissions in cars, I love them in trucks.
  21. There is no such thing as average exhaust... Every engine burns at different temp depending on if it's super or turbo charged or non, diesel, rotary, gas, etc... I think it ranges from 1000-1800 F though with small throttle openings being on the lower end of the scale...
  22. I had an identical issue when I banged up my exhaust once and the exhaust flange right under the driver's feet got opened up a bit. It was shooting up hot exhaust straight into the floorboard, burned through and made my carpet catch on fire. Fun times...
