  1. I see you're sporting the same stereo deck as me... Groovey!
  2. I am thinking of doing the same actually. 1" body lift on top of my suspension lift. The way I look at it, I already have a rather low 2" or so suspension lift so it rubs a bit under compression in the wheel wells. I need the downtravel for trails so there is no way I am gonna be cranking the bejesus out of my t-bars. Why should I install 3" body lift, raising my center of gravity by quite a bit in order to gain only 1/2" under diff clearance from going to 33" tires? I am just gonna install the 1" body lift (still sourcing materials). That's all I need for flex in the rear and less rubbing in the front.
  3. No. The new '05s have a D44 rear axle some of which have a electronic diff locker. The D44s are not as strong as the good old H233s that used to be in most of Nissans up to now. The front diffs got smaller and weaker as I posted above as well.
  4. I've wheeled with one and I wasn't impressed. He had to keep the locker on to go over stuff i had no issues with.
  5. http://www.puresuzuki.com/anvil_axle.htm Calmini builds this to fix an identical problem on the Sidekicks. But people wheel those.... sly
  6. They'll probably catch on but the probablity of those trucks being taken off road is so small that they won't care. Trust me, Nissan didn't soccer-momize the new generation for nothing.
  7. The issues are that the new diffs are R180 (18cm ring gear) and the old ones are R200 (20cm ring gears) also the gear ratios will be all different as the '05s run something like 3.xxx and we get 4.3-4.9
  8. Not really. That Liberty in the famous video made contact on the t-case. My friend's '05 Fronty didn't come into any contact with anything and his front diff exploded this weekend. Just your ordinary stress fracture. This is what you get for putting SMALLER DIFF, and ALUMINUM instead of STEEL housing on a truck with more power and larger tires. WTF way to go Nissan. pssd
  9. Something about exploding front differentials on 2005 vehicles doesn't sit right with me.
  10. http://madmudders.net/WD21FSM/ST.pdf has what you're looking for.
  11. I think it may have something to do that the Xterra is seen as a tough off road vehicle (even though the new ones are a pure joke). Proper 2WD, 4HI, 4LO transfer cases are much better when wheeling than ones with differentials and electronic gadgetry. Also you don't need a tough transfer case to conquer speedbumps at a local mall.
  12. Haha.... Just wait 'till he starts going through front end components.
  13. Dude... chu got way too much time on your hands. -thnkboutit-

  15. Ahhhaa.. you're right.. it's $250. I dunno why i though it was $150..... gotta make a note to stop drinking hard liquor in the office. -alcohol-
  16. My L&P centerlink didn't change any angles as tie rods are in pretty much the same place as they were. As to price? Dude.. $150 for the CL is well worth it and for Pitman/Idler arm just have somebody weld some gusseting on for ya for a few beers or something (that's what I did)
  17. It may not be nice... but it's true. Come out with us some time and you'll see how real trails treat "mall crawler" accessories. sssh
  18. Don't ever get cross drilled rotors. They have a nasty tendency to crack. There are many documented examples of that, also they offer no performance improvement.
  19. I agree with everything said but the brush guard cause they're gay and belong on mall crawlers and not off road trucks.
  20. A stronger Centerlink/Idler/Pitman arms will do nothing for your tie rods and adjusters... no?
  21. I have AC uppers and they're perfect.
  22. It will only work if you install the Tornado Fuel Saver and the gas line ionizer at the same time.
  23. That's a nice setup! And I love Palm as well (that's actually my third Palm unit as I have a Handspring Visor and Sony Clie). Come to think of it my second born will be named after Palm.
  24. Wow... what brand/make is it? How well does it work... does it give you directions and such? Like I said.. sucker for toys... -bounce-
