  1. It "could" work. I'd hate to see you waste your money on a new radiator without knowing for sure if that is the problem, but if you were to replace it, you only need a couple tools to do it... and the cheap generic (below store brand) tools would do it. iirc all you would need is a screw driver or pliers for the hose clamps and a 10 or 12mm socket w/ratchet (or maybe wrenches) to remove the the radiator itself. Also a bucket or other suitable container to catch the coolant.
  2. When the clutch fan goes out, it's a good time to consider converting to electric
  3. I am also leaning towards a clog somewhere, be it in the radiator or otherwise. But checking the fan clutch should be pretty simple, dos it increase its rotational speed (spin faster) after the engine reaches normal operating temp? This is something you should also be able to hear, once the clutch locks the fan will move more air, which will also produce more sound.. if not, then it's not working properly and is "at least" one of your problems, but maybe not all.
  4. Good thing the tree hugger's have not seen this thread yet
  5. There are lots of 5spd 4x4's out there, they are far from uncommon The autos have a cooler, but it is restrictive and prone to clogging. Best thing for them is to bypass the stock one and install another higher capacity and higher flow cooler. Not that big of a deal or as hard as it may sound.
  6. Wow, good advice! 2WD only sucks when it cannot do everything you need it to do... if 2WD suits *his* needs, then he's set
  7. Not sure what size wire, but I replaced mine a long time ago with one from the dealer, it was only around $14usd.
  8. But that would require a bit of cash, a lot of time and your dads shop for an extended period My opinion based on what you have said... 2-3in Body Lift or 1.5-2.5in Suspension Lift (search for SL lift options) 31 or 32 in All Terrain tires on Nissan optional "Lego" Wheels or custom after market, depending on your preference.
  9. fleurys, your page has been added. morpheus, yours is being built right now
  10. Yes it's here and don't see the pics
  11. I would like to take a moment to thank msavides for including ALL the necessary information and also for abiding by all the stated requirements. Thank you Mark! Your page is now up on www.nissanpathfinders.net And although I was beating my head against the wall sorting through the many applications that did not qualify (most were not even close) there was one other that had "almost" all the required info. Fleury's, if you are quick to send in the pics you promised, I'll overlook the fact that they are supposed to be submitted with the app and I'll add your page. But only because I was so happy to see that some people can follow the time/post requirements! FYI to everyone, if you do not meet the requirements (1yr & 100posts and yes, we DO check ) WHEN you apply and do not submit pictures with your application, then it gets deleted. You have no idea how many we get that do not qualify, it's a total waste of Pezzy's and my own time... please don't do that! As a result we don't even give it a second thought anymore, we just press delete
  12. Looks like it just presses in (remember the bolt near the top) with locktite to seal it?? http://stan.x2o.net/Hardbody/ntb96065.pdf - Page 9 And just an FYI, when removing the oil pan http://maxima.theowensfamily.com/tsb/NTB94-089.pdf
  13. Yeah the used set that I got was that way too. I just took a grinder with an extension and opened it up
  14. You can also post in Alkorahil's thread: GENUINE NISSAN PARTS Web addy and direct phone number is in the thread above And/or shoot him a PM
  15. That's what I am thinking... nope, not an ARB
  16. As Dave mentioned, there is no "shortcut" to get a member page. The requirements are there to keep everything fair. The only exceptions that were made was for people who had paid but never got a page on the original site. That was Phase 2 which is now closed. Phase 1&2 are closed and have been for a while now, no new members will be added under them. So every new member is Phase 3 And just something to consider here, we got a lot of new member submissions from people that did not qualify The conditions are simple to understand, but people still tried to sneak by. The requirements are spelled out before you even get to the application page... On top of that, there are also check boxes that ask if you meet the requirements and we verify each new applicants eligibility before moving forward with a member page. Because of the number of people who simply ignored those conditions, the applications from anyone who applies but do not qualify are simply deleted. Besides being a big waste of everyones time, it's not fair to those who patiently waited if we add those who did not, before them. *If you applied prior to being eligible, then you will need to reapply again to be considered.* To those who have applied and are waiting for a new page: Pezzy and I have been busy lately and I see that there are some pending apps, They are not lost or forgotten, and I will try and get to a many of them as I can, as soon as possible, But again, any that were submitted prior to being eligible, will be deleted.
  17. Or just add the zerks right from the beginning and then you never have to worry about not having them. And if you never need them, they won't hurt anything being there
  18. As long as it's from the same axle model line... H233B for example, you should be alright. If it's from something other than a Terrano then its possible that there may be slight differences, but could still work.
  19. I knew it was around here some place, just had to look NPORA's Humble Beginnings, A short look backwards...
  20. That one is different, the side bars do not wrap around the corners and the pic of the one you are looking to buy does not appear to have any kind of a winch deck (for mounting) on it.
  21. Brush Guard, Light Bar, "possibly" usable as a light duty push bar (but I would not count on it, without seeing it in person)... but not heavy duty enough to be a winch bumper. The whole idea of it possibly being usable as a light duty push bar hinges on it's mounts. From the pic it appears that it mounts to the frame and in place of the stock tow hook(s) If that is the case then it should use two bolts per side.
  22. What type of brush guard is it? Factory, after market, decorative, push bar, winch mount??? Pic?
  23. Yeah it would be important for people to note if they have a 5spd or auto My Numbers: Original 5 Spd died around 350,000 miles. Current 5 Spd is running strong around 245,000 miles
  24. I either found NPORA through the wd21forums or found the wd21forums through here (pretty sure that was the order *npora>wd21forums*) but ultimately I found the first one using a search engine. The reason I was looking was the same as B's, bought a Pathfinder while looking for a 4Runner. Went with the Pathy due to price (head gasket "problem" did not scare me )
