Thanks for the compliments Michael When I decided to do the swap, modifying the alternators housing was the excepted method (and really still is), but it was one that I did not want to do unless there was no other way. Now this does not mean that the way NissanNut or anyone else who's done it, did it wrong. There is nothing wrong with grinding the housing down to allow mounting, if your ok with it. It's just not the way I wanted to go about it, since one of my goals was to retain the option of using it as a core if ever I bought a new or rebuilt unit. Sadly I do not have the exact measurements and don't see removing my alty anytime soon. When I do I will get those numbers (at least those I can) and add them to the posts, But until then, the picture showing the trimmed section of the bracket will allow you to get very close if you take your time. Trim it over sized a little, test fit, mark and trim until you get the length right. Then determine where the new hole needs to be, then re-check the hole location and bracket length again, before drilling it out. As for the spacers, while your at the hardware store, grab a handful of washers and use them to space it out. Once you have the alignment right, you can measure the combined stack of washers to get a number for the permanent spacer. If I remember correctly, the belt is 10mm longer than stock. I should have a Napa part number somewhere at home, I'll see if I can dig it up. It's not a hard job at all, a little time and attention to detail will allow you to get it right. The hard part was figuring out where, how and what was needed to do it... and that's done But this does bring an idea to mind, maybe the next time I am at the wrecking yard I will see if they have any Quests/Villagers. Maybe I'll grab the brackets and make a couple "kits" But no promises

Not all Pathfinders and Hardbody's came with SS's. But all Pathy's and 4WD HB's (not sure about 2WD HB's) came with the bracket on the Centerlink. A stock one (factory or replacement) can be mounted with little trouble. Aftermarket stabilizers that have larger cylinders (Rancho, Procomp, etc) either come with, or list a required bracket kit for installation.

Same here, I have ordered from them a couple times in the past (once for the Pathy) and have never had a problem. Last thing I ordered, was done via ebay, but I spoke with them directly, all went smooth. -

Strange, because the local stations here have had updates on every newscast I have seen (I don't get to watch the news a lot) up until this morning. I am home right now because school is late (and could still end up canceled) and the sitter can't get out of her driveway, but so far this AM I have heard nothing about it or about most other things outside of the snow and ice we got yesterday/overnight.

Can't find the copies of those pics! Might have been on the hard drive that decided to NOT power up anymore I'll see if I can get a hold of Aaron about the writeup

Maybe the changed manufacturing sites/specs/vendors?

I've sent a number of things out of the US and almost always use USPS to do it (cheapest by far in my experience) and have never had a problem shipping from here Did he say exactly what he was worried about? Or is is a controlled or regulated item?

Glad to hear you and those close are ok Tex

TerranoNZ text messaged me right after it happened, but I have not heard from him since. I did not realize the amount of damage this one did until this morning http://www.duluthnew...icle/id/192075/

Some of the better manufactures have those ratings available on their websites/in the detailed literature. Do you have a specific winch or a couple of them in mind?

Gladly signed

Black of any shine level would look good, but just to be different, I also think that a true color match would be cool too
-
I think these may help you some It appears to be Pin 26, and it's considered to be black only, since there is no colored stripe running the length of it (same on my truck) Not sure what, if anything, the orange dots mean. But they are common throughout our trucks wiring.

Exactly my thought after James said he had no visible fluid! James, I've had this exact thing happen on my yota, it was frustrating not being able to figure out where my fluid was going, then one day I was under the dash doing some light wiring and happened to noticed the fluid

I had to trim a corner of the brackets that came with mine. Don't remember exactly what the deal was, but I do know that things did not bolt up without trimming them. There are some lower holes in the bumper... or maybe it's upper in the frame? (lol sorry it's been a while since I even looked at it!). It is not a factory style fit, but it can be moved up none the less

The upgrade was just completed. If you are having any problems with the forum that may be related to the upgrade, please PM or email a member of the Staff. Thanks, -Red

We will be performing another software update soon. There is no exact time for this, so the forum go offline at any time. Normally these updates do not take that long, baring any problems. So we expect the down time to be minimal. As always, in the event of a forum outage please look to the NPORA's Home site for more information. www.nissanpathfinders.net -Red

REALLY needed is an understatement! Get them all in and good? Did you replace the bushings with new or just swap them on as is?

debunked? No Rule? No Required to mount bigger tires? No Guideline for a properly setup system? Yes 3+3=33 is the excepted way to mount 33's without having to or at least minimizing trail/flex related damage and "point of no return" modifications. There is nothing there to "debunk"

They changed from a small taper to a large taper on the TRE's in '93. So the CL, IA and TRE's will be of little use to you.
