  1. Both sides? Are we talking about the same heat shields here? The engine mount shield on the drivers side slick
  2. B, I knew you were working on a link to a 6mm when I came into this topic... so I figure why bother I would guess that he is talking about the threaded hole on the body or the hatch itself, were the ball stud is screwed into... rennwerkes... is it cross-threaded or rusted out?
  3. I can't speak for the current Craftsman 2 tons, thus why I said "similar "buget" version" But based on what is most commonly available... it's not looking good. A comparison would be cool though I recently bought a 3ton Craftsman and just love it. The damned thing is built like a tank... and weighs about as much too
  4. matter of opinion really... if you fit under the truck then its simple jacked or not. But yeah I am sure most would agree that it is "easier" because you would have more room to move around.. I just prefer to eliminate the extra step, that's all.
  5. The recent trend in at least most 2 ton floor jacks is to make them as cheaply as possible. I honestly would expect a 15 year old jack to be of better quality than a similar "buget" version of it now
  6. Actually those stickers have proven to be some tough little SOB's... I would bet that most of the ones no longer attached have been removed by someone intentionally
  7. In addition to what 88 said... I'm not sure where you are (your profile does not say) but if you are in Western WA, then Cut Rate Auto Parts has them for $20.
  8. umm.. well yeah you can jack it up. But really you don't even have too. They will come off with or without the truck raised *But the fronts are easier if you remove the tire
  9. I have been considering a look at it to see what could be done... you just saved me the trouble of figuring it out
  10. When I finally got to reinstalling during the swap, I also scratched my head for a second or two because I also had two... but only two. And both were for the left side (Drivers Side). *I had two because of getting the replacement engine with engine mounts intact
  11. Any additional info you can give is great And I just realized that was your first post... Welcome to the Forums
  12. That sounds like some great information. If you can would you please post some pictures? And maybe the color code on the wires and which terminal each goes too (that would be very helpful)
  13. 2 Ton jacks work fine on small cars.. but for midsized or larger car, trucks or any 4x4.. get 3 ton at least. *I have destroyed a number of 2 ton jacks on my Toyota and Pathfinder.
  14. If in doubt... call a dealer or three
  15. Yeah I know, it was more about reading the direction for making it
  16. Dang B... after reading all the work it would take to do that I just want to smash the window now
  17. Dealers... at least one of my local dealers can get them. They even had some in stock last time I was there. $20 iirc
  18. A new batch is being made up... when ready it will be posted (if any extras are availible this time) EDIT: Oh well nevermind then .. none for you
  19. Do the Black Panther Skidplates - WD21 Models not fit two doors?
  20. I was wondering th ehe would figure it out before you replied... guess not
  21. RedPath88

    Oil Filter Leak

IslaTurbine, yours may look like that or it might be a bigger unit (there are two different ones) but they are located in the same spot no matter which one you have
  22. Yeah there are several ideas of what can be done around here... I posted a pic of mine somewhere (guess not in that thread) I can get another if you like.. but it was along the same thinking as Simon's Oh and actually it was "Pathmodifier" who started that thread
  23. Give the man a cookie!!! Yeah and when turning the bolt it seems a lot further than you think Oh and if that was the stock setting then my rear springs have a lot of sag in them. But I guess that is to be expected with 290,000K on them -thnkboutit- I am about to pull it back into the garage to lower the front a little. After a couple miles of trouble free driving is put on it and the Yota's wheels are ready to be swapped, I will be installing the SuperLift arms and JGCC's... and thus cranking them back up some.
