I'm going to receive my new headers on tuesday and I just want to share with you guys some of the problems that I may encounter, here are some pics of what is going on right now. I also have a few questions to ask. Here are the pics. Since I'm going to be working on this, I though that I might as well replace the head gasktes, but since I'm replacing the head gaskets I should go ahead and replace the valve cover gaskets and the intake manifold gasket. What other gasket do you think I should replace?

I can get the lift for about $700.00 from rocky moutain suspension, unless you know of a cheaper site filter should be another $40 and optima $120.00

I still want trailmaster suspension lift, cone filter, and optima battery, thats another $860.

I would say Lucas tranny additive. I put some of that stuff in the tranny and it worked great. You could add it to manual or auto tranny. Hard shifting went away and it seemed to run smoother.

:o :o :o :o $407.00 for a sensor and labor! Man what a rip off, summit racing has NGK's for $50.00. Hell it's an easy DIY if it's not seized like Mookie said.

That's alot of cash for labor, why don't you just a flowmaster series 40 and a cat from summitracing.com. I paid $70.00 for the flowmaster at a local shop and had it installed for $20.00, that was labor and pipes.

Or I can always swap the left side tires to the right and vice versa, no? They're mounted already, but everytime I want to take a pic there's something that comes up which doesn't let me. Yesterday was that the pathy was with my wife, then she got home and NPORA locked me out, I got the page can not be displayed error, then today NPORA is back up and running and my wife took the pathy to take my son for a check up. Man, I really want to take a picture already. That way, hopefully I can go TOTM

Hmmm, good question, never thought of that. I guess I'll stick with having the 235/75/15 stock tire as spare.

The wheels weigh about 21 lbs, if I remember correctly. Yeah, I saw those prices for 33's $285.00 at summit racing :o That's why I decided to go with 31's. I finally got them mounted yesterday, as soon as the wifey gets home from her mom's will post pics of them mounted on the pathy

Yeah, I use to live in South Central L.A. I know what you mean about rust. I buried my tonkas for a couple of days and got them out and played with them. Now that I remember, I use to have that truck in the bottom right. This looks like the collection I had.

Man, does any one remember the all metal tonkas? Those were cool. I use to ride on top of the dump truck and beat the s#!t out of it and wouldn't get a dent. I loved those trucks. I had the dump truck, the crane, and the bull dozer. Ah, nostalgia!

It is a 170 t-stat. I bought it at Auto Zone, it is called the FailSafe, supposedly it says that "DESIGNED TO LOCK OPEN AT APPROXIMATELY 280 F TO PROVIDE MAXIMUM COOLANT FLOW DURING OVERHEATING CONDITION." I'm gonna really consider buying a diffrent brand though. I just saw this info online too, if it stays locked at 280, why doesn't it stay lock at 170 then, since it's a 170 t-stat?

Well I ordered my tires on Tuesday and received them on Thursday. Here are some pics of the new tires and wheels. Tires are Mickey Thompson Baja Claws 31x10.50x15 and Eagle Alloys series 102 These are for posing purposes and this one is loaded up in the pathy Sadly, I was planning on mounting and balancing them today, but since it is Good Friday, all tire shops closed early :furious: So I'm gonna wait until tomorrow and hope to find a shop open so I can get these on damn it!

Thanks, so from what it sounds like is that I' gonna need to hunt down some electrical gremlins right? That may mean looking under the carpent and may be pulling some seats.

Today my fuel gauge began a yo-yo effect. it went from the point where fuel is at (halfway point) and all the way to empty. Should I be concerned? If my fuel pump was shot, wouldn't the pathy turn off? The pathy didn't shut down or anything, it was the guage that was going crazy.

I had a really bad ordeal with this problem on Friday. I placed the clutch fan back on, and didn't notice any change in temp. The clutch fan fell off during my way to work, i didn't know it fell until I saw the battery, a/t f light, and the brake light's come on. I thought to my self WTF? Then I started to see water splatter against the windshield, then I said Ohh F! I pulled over, popped open the hood and saw steam come out. I opened it and saw the rad cap popped off, fan in the shroud and the belt hanging from the main pulley. I called my brother to pic me up. I had to drive the pathy to his house, which was 5 min away from the incident. Since I didn't have the e-fan with me, I had to buy another one. I got a 16" fan for $80 with life time warranty. Mounted the fan put the belt back on and everything was ok. I left from work and went home and still smelled hot coolant. I turned the pathy of and saw there was water all over the belts and t-belt cover. I turned the pathy on and noticed that the rad had a leak between the plastic and the aluminum lining. I bought another rad for $160.00 life time warranty, and everything was fine. But the temp does not drop at night, it's only a hair down from the half way point. At this time I think that my water pump may be shot. What do you think? By the way I did the burp again.

Yeah, I think that would be a good idea. I was planning on purchasing nerf barfs, but sh#t? I don't want to spend that much money, so I just decided to make my own.

I was thinking for looks. I'm planning on installing the trailmaster lift kit, so that would currently give me about 5" and 4 1/2". I'm pretty sure I can clear what I wheel in though.

I'm thinking of fabing some step bars and paint them blue, the mounts will be made to fit specific parts of the chasis. Here's a picture of what they look like. Since I don't have any tools to accomplish this, I'm going to have to come up with measurements and go to a shop.

That sucks man, hope you recover soon though. I think I speak for everyone when it comes to finding out how your swap from 2wd to 4wd has gone and how well your pathy runs. Hope to see lots of pics.

I would second that 88. I'm doing this swap, but on a 95-96 tacoma. It'll be my recreational vehicle! Since the aftermarket support for GM is very extensive, I'm planning on hopefully producing at least 400 h/p with out NO2.

So how many horsies does a stock 3.3 have?
