Not very often, but any chance I get. Maybe 3 times a month, on sand. Mostly pavement driving.

is it even worth replacing the lsd for a locker?
-
Now that I know i have an lsd, now here comes my predicament. Would a locker increase it's efficency, or is a locker even necessary? Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, it's just that i'm new to the lsd thing.

I'm going to fix the injector sometime this week. I would really hate it if it was just the gasket. gasket is $7.99, injector $57.99...hmmmm. I hope it just the gasket.

I recently replaced my maf around july, so i don't think this was the problem. I before my maf was giving me a problem though. I checked everything out though and did find a leaky injector....right under the manifold, right behind the distributor. I wish it would of been easier to get out. Well, I guess i'm going to get a full tune up, once i get my tax return. But first things first, fix that injector.

Hey Slick 1) It smokes white when i start it up then goes away once it is warm 2) '92 with 160k 3) My gas mileage has stayed significantly the same, but I did notice recently that it has been wasting more gas than the usual. Plus, this is the first time the old oil has smelled like gas when i did the oil change. So far i think i have done 4 oil changes since i got my pathy almost a year ago. so i know the problem is pretty recent. 4) i was about 1 foot away from the drain plug, when I immediately notice the smell 5) haven't checked them all yet, since i dont have an extension long enough to reach those other 3 plugs :furious: 6) My anti freeze has remained at the same level. I'll run the codes tomorrow and see it's running rich, which my suspicions, say it is.

I'm going into 160K, I did the oil change and I guess i ran about 50 miles on it, more or less.
-
Thanks for the info, I'll check into that also.
-
Cool, I'll check each injector, even though it may be a pain to get to the other 3

I recently changed the oil in the pathy and noticed that it smelled like gas. Once I poured in the new oil, I cheked it a couple of days later and noticed that the new oil smells like gas too. I checked the plugs, but they look alright. My next though are head gaskets and was wondering if it's gonna be a PITA to do this. I checked out side the heads, but everything looks ok, it doesn't seem to ne leaking anything around it. :help:

got it

I had a similar problem, my lights wouldn't even come one. I thought the alt died on me. But some one gave me a jump and took it to autozone, had the alt and battery checked, but everything was ok. What I later found out is that the factory groud terminal, which looks like the ring was maxed out for it to be tight, but was still loose on the batter posts. I ended up changing both terminals, and have not had a problem since.

Usually ypu will have to peel it off. Try using the edge of a blade and try wiping the sticking residue off with some type of cleaner that will get rid of that residue.
-
I've got the xe, with power everything, factory roof rack, lsd (or at least I assume I have an lsd because there's an orange sticker that reads to use lsd oil), external tire carrier, factory hitch, wind deflcetor for back window, front rotors

Try bleeding your breaks and or master cylinder.

Yup, mine expires on 2046...I'll be 65!!! Just for kicks, I'm not going to update the photo and leave as it is!
-
Check your shocks, when I replaced mine when I would collapse it, it wouldn't extend anymore...so I got new shocks and have not had a problem with them. Your muffler mught be killing oyu gas mileage, I would suggest you install a flowmaster since it will be more cheaper if you were to replace it fro the dealer. Third..I can't help you on that..I have a 2g pathy

Well everyone, It's that time of the year again here in Yuma AZ. Old foggies, or "Snowbirds" as they are called around here are back in town....and no this is not a good thing. They come down here every winter because they can not handle the colder climates for the northwestern, northern part of the states, (including Canada). So we get them down here every winter. It's not that I hate them or anything, it's because they drive these freaking huge rv's, or drive around town in their cars, really slowly, cut into your lane...with out knowing that you are only 3 feet behind them when they cut you off. And to top it all off some of them can barely see past the steering wheel!!! I'm concerned because every year when they come down here I almost get hit by a snowbird, or they do some stupid manuver and almost end up hitting them.....arrgh :furious: ...I hate when winter comes here. other than that i love the winter.

No rear discs :sniff: But I do have lsd

Drug induced illusion or legitimate effect?
solid snake replied to vidro's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
I took mine off recently because I was inspecting my tranny cooler, and I didn't see any difference in steering. I am thinking of fabbing one up when I lift the front with the trailmaster lift though. -
You friggin got that right!!! And I'm not exactly crappin' money
-
yeah, but it would acctually be cool if what you have sticking on your car is what you have. I have decals from K&N, flowmaster, and pro comp. That's because I do have these products.
-
Is it a worthwhile swap though. What increase will I see, hp wise, would there be a significant notice? On the sticker thing....I might as well put some NOS stickers along with Holley, comp cams, maybe weiand, or edlebrock.......(sigh).....how I wish these manufaturers made performance parts for us
-
Thanks for the write up. While in removing the rad and fan I might as well do the electrical fan swap too. during the summer my temp is at the half way mark or a litltle past it.
-
I can't imagine rolling around here with out an a/c, and I really want to get this replaced before summer hits again.
