  1. Whats up? Would it be better if i got the MSD 6A, or should I get the 6AL. From what I'm reading, the 6AL sounds like a better option, and I have the cash to buy it, what do you guys think?
  2. I had a similar problem too, i fouind out that it was the master cylinder that was leaking the break fluid. I replaced it and this problem went away. it may not be the m/c, but check your break lines and get your brake system bleeded.
  3. I'm not too familiar with that, but I have seen then on truck beds. What I did for the tire carrier is sand off most of the rust and spray paint it with flat black paint. I haven't had a problem with it rusting again or paint chipping off. of course I think that this mainly has to do that it is dry around here and we hardly get any rain too.
  4. Thank God i live close to Mexico, so this is not a problem for me!
  5. I've been around, haven't posted 'cause schools keeping me busy, so has GTA San Andreas!. I go the bull bar from a friend for free, but it was kind of bent up and there's been some rust. it's chrome, but nothing too hard to fix.
  6. Congrats, I was wondering what happened to your pathy since we didn't get any updates. but please take some pics!
  7. I'm fabing my own from a bull bar that was on a old f-150. This is what it looks like and what I want to fab up to fit the pathy.
  8. Thanks guys, this info helped a lot. So use O/D, unless going thru hilly areas or back roads, got it! thanks for the article too.
  9. What do you guys think of this. Is this even a worth while investment? Fidanza aluminum flywheels are milled from high-quality 6061 T-6 aluminum, for light weight with high strength and high-heat dissipation. The friction surface is 1050 high-carbon steel, secured with military-grade fasteners, and can work with any type of clutch material, including Kevlar, ceramic, sintered metal, and organic. The heat-treated ring gears are also 1050 steel, and are shrink-fitted and secured with Grade 8 button screws. These flywheels are SFI-approved. http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?...SearchType=Make
  10. Sweet, I'm planning on having the relocation done pretty soon too.
  11. I know this may sound dumb to most of you, but here it goes anyway. This is my first SUV I have owned, and I have a question about my O/D. I started to fiddle with it today while driving and did notice a little but of an accelration gain when it was off. when it was on it was a little sluggish. How is it really suppose to work, I don't think mine works properly, then again I don't know how it works.
  12. I really haven't experienced this at all, at least not yet. I guess I'll stick with the lsd.
  13. Not very often, but any chance I get. Maybe 3 times a month, on sand. Mostly pavement driving.
  14. is it even worth replacing the lsd for a locker?
  15. Now that I know i have an lsd, now here comes my predicament. Would a locker increase it's efficency, or is a locker even necessary? Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, it's just that i'm new to the lsd thing.
  16. I'm going to fix the injector sometime this week. I would really hate it if it was just the gasket. gasket is $7.99, injector $57.99...hmmmm. I hope it just the gasket.
  17. I recently replaced my maf around july, so i don't think this was the problem. I before my maf was giving me a problem though. I checked everything out though and did find a leaky injector....right under the manifold, right behind the distributor. I wish it would of been easier to get out. Well, I guess i'm going to get a full tune up, once i get my tax return. But first things first, fix that injector.
  18. Hey Slick 1) It smokes white when i start it up then goes away once it is warm 2) '92 with 160k 3) My gas mileage has stayed significantly the same, but I did notice recently that it has been wasting more gas than the usual. Plus, this is the first time the old oil has smelled like gas when i did the oil change. So far i think i have done 4 oil changes since i got my pathy almost a year ago. so i know the problem is pretty recent. 4) i was about 1 foot away from the drain plug, when I immediately notice the smell 5) haven't checked them all yet, since i dont have an extension long enough to reach those other 3 plugs :furious: 6) My anti freeze has remained at the same level. I'll run the codes tomorrow and see it's running rich, which my suspicions, say it is.
  19. I'm going into 160K, I did the oil change and I guess i ran about 50 miles on it, more or less.
  20. Thanks for the info, I'll check into that also.
  21. Cool, I'll check each injector, even though it may be a pain to get to the other 3
  22. I recently changed the oil in the pathy and noticed that it smelled like gas. Once I poured in the new oil, I cheked it a couple of days later and noticed that the new oil smells like gas too. I checked the plugs, but they look alright. My next though are head gaskets and was wondering if it's gonna be a PITA to do this. I checked out side the heads, but everything looks ok, it doesn't seem to ne leaking anything around it. :help:

    No start

I had a similar problem, my lights wouldn't even come one. I thought the alt died on me. But some one gave me a jump and took it to autozone, had the alt and battery checked, but everything was ok. What I later found out is that the factory groud terminal, which looks like the ring was maxed out for it to be tight, but was still loose on the batter posts. I ended up changing both terminals, and have not had a problem since.
