  1. Ok, finally burped her. During the day the temp stays at halfway point, which I think is normal since that is where it was when I bought it a year ago. But during the night it still stays at halfway. It's not even hot out, may be around 50's, during the day about 80. So wtf?, what else can I check, I know temperature has a lot to do with the heating and cooling of a car. I'll swap the e-fan witht eh clutch fan later on today and test it out tomorrow to see if there is any diffrence. I really hope it's not a head gasket. I don't have the symptoms that were pointed out earlier, but that does not rule out the possibility.
  2. Thanks for the pic Slick, I wasn't trying to burp the rad from the a/c. I'm not that dumb. But from the pic that you showed me I think that the one I have to burp her from should be the hose next to the pcv hose right? Heres the pics. This is the one I was trying to open
  3. Oops :o I feel dumb! Thanks for point that out to me, duh.
  4. Yup, unless maybe I can turn the a/c on to have her run at a higher temp sitting at idle.
  5. i saw the little plastic screw you were talking about, but not along the upper hose, it was on the opposite side of the lower hose. It was really hard to budge. It was attached to a hose that runs downward.
  6. No yo-yo effect here, checked the resevoir and there is no boiling water either, let her ran about 1o min with out the rad cap on. Temp did not go down remained the same.
  7. I haven't checked this out yet, but I do not see any overflow dripping. I'll double check it though.
  8. The fan is working properly, it has a e-fan, no wires look disconnected. I pulled apart the whole set up to see it the thermostat was installed properly, everything looked in tip top shape, put everything in it's place. Haven't checked the relay, but I can smell the heat from the engine when i park my car. I didn't use to smell it before. Sonsor rod? where can I find that? I hear the fan turn on and off correctly. i will replace the clutch fan and remove the e-fan to see any changes.
  9. As most of you know I had my t-belt changed a couple of weeks ago, since then i have noticed that the temperature gauge gets to the mid point very quickly. I placed a new 170 degree t-stat and changed the radiator cap on it. But the temperature is still at the half way mark. I was in line coming back from Mexico on Wednesday for about 30 minutes and it started to heat up, it was porbably 3/4 or a little more from the high side. Before when I was in line it didn't heat up, but cool down. I saw the temp fall, now it increases, I'm actually pretty worried about it. Could the t-belt have anything to do with this?
  10. Cool, you should post a write up! Post any problems and short cuts in installing the lift. I'm thinking of purchasing this lift too.
  11. Got the timming fixed Wensday. Now it really runs great! I ment to post this earlier, but I couldn't cause npora kicked me out for almost a week. I couldn't view anything.
  12. No backfiring. Starts normal, but I do notice the loss of power.
  13. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Why?!?! I wanted my pathy to be perfect! I was just gonna change the oxy sensor and wire set! Oh, well thanks for the info Slick.
  14. thanks for the t/b advise, will clean out this out sunday. "Then again you've got a few mods that will errode your fuel economy." What mods are you talking about, beside the larger tires.
  15. i forgot to mentioned that I cleaned it also.
  16. Yeah :o , that's how it is, It sounds like it wants to rev up, and it does sound differnt when i start it up, it kind of sounds like it wants to choke, but it doesn't. haven't checked nuetral, will check tomorrow.
  17. Yes to your first question. When I accelerate, it feels like it wants to really take off, but it can't, it feels kind of heavy. idle is at aobut 500 rpms, it was at 900 before the belt was replaced. Running, well it feels heavy like i said, it wants to go a little but faster, but it can't. Starting, is fairly quick, quicker than before.
  18. I had my t-belt changed yesterday, and barley got to drive the pathy around and find that the engine feels kind of "tight", and tried to drive it around at high speed and found that the pathy has a hard time passing 70mph. Before I changed it, it went up to 80 no prob. It feels heavy too. At first I thought that the belt needed to settle in and expand a bit, but now I think that there may be something wrong. Is this a common issue and I am worrying too much. I told my mechanic that I'll be able to bring it back to him until Tuesday, since I work fri, sat off sunday (mechanic shpo closed on sunday), and monday.
  19. I ran the codes on my pathy and found out I have error code 21, ignition signal. I have recently installed an msd, and found wheelman ls' instructions with no problem, but after I ran the codes, I think that there may be something wrong.
  20. My gas milage is around 12 mpg, which really sucks. before I go on, this is what I have replaced recently: Changed oil a week ago changed plugs new fuel filter pvc plug was replaced in september need to clean k&n filter, other wise is not very dirty upgraded to msd ignition about a month ago, need to change wire set had fuel system cleaned. Beside oxy sensor, which I will replace soon, what else can I do to increase mileage?
