Edit: Opps, just saw Harbingers post Sorry, I don't have any links, but a Google or Pirate board search should point you in the right direction.

Been waiting for your post of long arming! Looks great.

I hope you are on the road of a better spring/summer than your winter was. I think you should keep the Chevy...sounds like that's the project that will bring the most enjoyment. As far as the Pathys, is it possible to part out the '91's motor? Perhaps get a little more coin parting out both Pathys? Then again, it's the issue of dealing with parting them out as opposed to just getting rid of them in one clean sweep. Best of luck with everything.

MWS, you must have seen Walkers Evans IFS Rock Crawler eh? It was a beauty.

With most of the kits, you can do everything from that access panel as dagwoodzz pointed out. Some of the plug and go "T" kits require you to run a few wires to the passenger side to (I ran them under the plastic moulding to hide them) so you can just plug or 'T' into the existing factory plug. Either way, pretty simple!

One thing about pulling your own D44 is it gives you the experience of tearing it down and then rebuilding it (which is fairly inexpensive). Gives you great practice in case you have to do a repair on the trail.
-
Wow. It could have been a much different outcome. Glad you escaped fairly intact! Why did he push the button?
-
Looks really nice. Great work!

Hello-hello! I'd say it's your tires. Then can make more of a difference than one would think. The Mich's probably had a ton of more sipeing and probably a softer rubber compound than the BFG's. Since the BFG's are 1/2 worn, they are probably alot harder now to.
-
Iirc, you will be able to see two small hose clamps (one on each end of the rubber hose) No hidden clamps to worry about.

My second set with 35's. They generally try to make the hub hole a 'one fit' if they can. (Toyota, Chev, Nissan and Isuzu for example)
-
That is beefy for sure! I'm almost tempted to price out parts...
-
It's still a Nissan! Sounds like a nice Titan you picked up.
-
That's a great price and find Luker. "So many possibilities" - Lol, I know what you mean. I collected multiple parts for a year and now they are spread out between 3 Sas'd Pathys. Radius arms over there, Coil buckets over there...

Eli, try and run the codes. Watch for a crank angle sensor code. Btw, is the Pathy in Calgary or Airdrie?
-
Try taking a flash light and taking a peek at the front of your rad. Look for white or dried up spots. You might have a very small leak, (won't leak to the floor or a cross member) that dries up before it hits bottom of the rad and only leaks when the Pathy is started up. I did, and it drove me nuts for years until I replaced the rad.

Like '88 and MWS said, open that valve (bolt) up a few threads and bleed the air out of the system. Good luck!
-
Yup. I cut and rotated the knuckles 12 degrees and I also have a high angle CV front D-shaft. My pinion sits 1 degree below the output of the t-case. That turned out to work perfectly for the upwards motion.

Deej, good to hear you and your family are ok. Black ice is nasty.

Howdy, something to keep in mind. If you are using the wiring that came with the lights you really should pop in a relay. Unless you subsituted your power wire for a thicker gauge or used a heavier switch, you have a good chance of melting the wires or possibly catching fire. It all works fine until you have them on for a length of time.
-
Yes, mine didn't throw any codes when the 02 sensor went. That's why I replaced everything electrical and fuel and still had the problem. Frusterating! Sounds like it's happeing when it's reaching temp. You may want to try this to rule in/out the 02 sensor. Before the first start of the day, (engine cold) unplug the 02 sensor from the harness (the clip is on the passenger side of the engine bay towards the firewall. You can follow the thicker wire down to the 02 sensor to make sure you are unplugging the right clip). Drive it around for 15 minutes plus (to when the engine comes up to temp) and see if the problem happens.
-
Hello. What level are guys? I'm only basic right now. 2m. I'd have to hit a few spots to reach you.
-
Another thing to check out too is all of your rear link bushings. The newer R50's have this problem and now the older WD21's are starting to see this same bushing problem. Inspect those link bushing up closely. We've just bought the bushings and had them pressed in/out.
-
I agree with the 02 sensor. Does this happen only when the engine reaches temp? Backfires more if driven for a period of time?
-
Hi, Does this happen when the engine is warm only, or does it happen right when you start it up? (engine cold)
