Looking nice!!
-
As 94LE-BlackEmerald said, sounds like the Idler pulley bearing.
-
Of course we do. Yeah, the Navara is nice! Post pics when you get it.

Welcome - nice to have a Pathy to round out the fleet of Nissans.
-
Vbars work very, very well for ice and snow.

Welcome to the board!

Are you flat towing, dolly, or trailer? You can get the Pathy to tow, but it's always the stopping, or worse, the pushing that you may experience.
-
With zero towing experience you may want to reconsider if it's a long haul. With that amount of weight even with trailer brakes, to keep from being pushed you may want an weight distributing hitch too-depends on the total weight. The car also needs to be positioned on the trailer so its balanced correctly (too much tongue weigh vs. not enough).

Congrats Pezzy!

Where is it smoking from? Tail pipe or engine bay? Black smoke, blue smoke, white smoke? Any oil drips, hose leaks that you know of?

Like Simon said, that will only work for awhile. The first time mine went I got about 2 weeks of banging it. The second time the starter went I got a less than a day on it, about 4-5 starts.

I know you've checked the fuses a few times, but actually*replace* the fuse that is for your tail lights with a new one because the dash and tail lights are on the same fuse. That will 100% rule out the fuse if the problem is still there unless the fuse blades aren't making a good contact because of a previous owner wiring project.

The HB shifter would be my first choice. However, you can remove the Pathy one, heat it up and then bend it. That's what I did 'cause I was going wheeling the next day.

Nice! I'll have to take some time to read it all when I get home.

Happy belated B-day!

Heard about the Hinton area - sounds good.

Hey Mark, Thanks for the info! A trip list would be great. I'll check the website out.
