  1. Other options, if you just want a winch mount, is to get a WARN brush guard. Or install a receiver onto the front of the frame and get a multi-mount.
  2. Got friends with "hands"?
  3. What? He said he found rave reviews, most of the first page is anything but.
  4. Did you read any posts in here before posting?
  5. At least they used to, the bar was universal, for all small pick-ups/SUVs, they sold the mounts seperate for the specific vehicles.
  6. I'm on the list of no-thanks peeps, seen to many issues with quality and service, many more than non issues.
  7. You do realize that, even though the work is easier to do, "since they will already be in there," they will still charge you the standard rate per job you have done. The techs will just be happy to be able to do the work in under the billed hours, and make more money for their time.
  8. IIRC, and unless they fixed it, the front is all screwy. It was their original, first time attempt at the SAS kit they sell, and like I said, IIRC it came out much less than perfect.
  9. Most of us just relocate it using different holes in the frame and bumper brackets.
  10. Go to Lowe's, in the section with weatherstripping for doors and windows, there is stick on foam stripping, just use some of that to make a tight seal.
  11. Mine are removed completely, I don't like passengers, they only scream.
  12. That, the light bar, and the grill guard were early model items that are hard as hell to find now.
  13. What Cuong mentioned is what I was talking about before.
  14. I don't remember seeing any mount points when I had all my inner panels out.
  15. Nope, the only difference between the 2 and 4 is the addition of the rear doors. They have the same seats/rails even, so you can get into the back seat of a 4dr from the front door.
  16. Everyone says, "I have to downshift on hills". I have yet to drive any vehicle that didn't kick down or need down shifted on a hill. No the Pathfinder isn't a 1 ton truck, but it can do what it is capable of doing just fine. Anything hauling even half it's rated capacity is going to bog down a bit and use more gas than if it was unloaded. I was actually impressed by my 93's abilities, I had to haul about 3k lbs of concrete mix in the truck and an about 1k lbs mixer in tow. Only thing I did was turn off the OD, and it drove pretty close to normal for me, though with the weight it was a little rougher since I was about 1/2" off the bump stops.
  17. Less injectors to replace when they go bad in the TBI,
  18. Yeah, the pully is kinda worthless without the mount plate, lol.

    Gps

A couple of people I know have made them using threaded black pipe. Just take a floor flange and bolt it to the side of the tranny hump, a 45 off that into a 8" straight, then another floor flange onto a piece of plywood or plexiglass to set the laptop on (bare basics). You could put a swing arm into the mix simple enough, or add another 45 under the laptop bas to tilt the keypad area. Lots of ways to vary the design.
  20. Yeah, the idler is shapped like <o> and bolts above the water pump.

Or get a small laptop and a Delorme or Microsoft GPS unit for it. I have an old hikers GPS that is kinda crap on the road, and a modern Garmin vehicle GPS that shows nothing but roads. Still might buy myself a GPS to hook into the laptop and dump both for my trailrides (though my laptop is huge).
