  1. If i am correct...my pathy has the same exact sound and feel.. ..try this, next time you first begin to drive the truck (for the day) when you have to make that first stop at a light or whatever...kick it to neutral before you finish your stop. I have a feeling that this is not suspension related or transmission related...I think it is related to the rear end being "loose" we'll say. If I pull up to a stop and kick it out of gear it stops with no second shudder; when in gear it feels as though a shock were coming to rest with the weight of the truck...but it is not the suspension. : did that sound confusing??
  2. I have the total OME set up and couldn't be happier...the truck can take on/off ramps at about 45 mph and still not have as much lean as it did with the wore out stockers!!! I have installed 1" spacers in the front to have the truck set level...wish you lived near by we could do the lift over a couple of pizzas!!! No camber kit necessary but Warn hubs...for sure! I got a grand total of 2" all the way around...not much but the wheels and tires are in the mix. The spacers are made of steel and were crazy expensive (I thnik anyway) at a stout $160. I have a link to Warn hubs for about $127 shipped I think is what it was. Holla if you need anything!! ...incidentally gorgeous truck!!
  3. Yep, DERNT's truck is absolutly sweet with those rims!! copy and paste the numbers Titan 18's w/tires 8024117605-----B-I-N $650 Ditto, but the darker color 18's 8023715710-----$341 right now 8025200202-----$500 right now sweet 16's 8024885909---B-I-N $700
  4. ...picked the slush fund to encompass the NPORA hosting/upgrade and the Aaron/Jim "we luv ya" ideas.
  5. I'm in...there is no doubt the number of enjoyable upgrades, repairs, and other wise info passed here. I found ACT clutch kits for $165 t/o bearing and all. I say -bounce- on the opportunity while it is here and get the clutch and donations rolling...this site can't teeter in jeopardy. I am in no position to pay for the entire site to keep rolling and no one can pay for Jim's time or 88's time in $, the only thing that can be dealt is respect...on that topic I mean respecting each other minus flames and don't make situations where an admin has to think aout removing posts...that my friends is respect. I am prepared right now to make a donation for Jim's clutch and the site so please lets not be a G W Bush, move in a positive direction (without stammering! Lol) :gossip: ...of course I would not want to "take" the site from Jim...are you kidding that is like conspiracy against the president!!---I should add "a president that you like" lol

  7. Back again, I have had the lift on w/spacer for about 5 days now. The front lift is great the truck handles well and the brakes are much more aggresive now (no front end lurch). Thanks to Nick1716, XPOLRx4, and SNOSNK...I have seen the error of my install. If you look back at my strut tower pic you will see the underlying issue that I had with my spacers...the bolts!!! After my install my front end made crunching/clicking noises alsong with a large "Thong" sound...not like Sisqo. The sound was unnerving, and even scary to some bystanders!!! After looking up at the suspension while jacked up and talking to the expert resources here at NPORA...I was given a couple leads...Strut tower top mount, strut tower bearing (little grey plastic piece), and of course maybe the idea that I might have over-tightened the whole assembly (90 ft lbs....well, it is too much when the manual says up to 39 ft lbs)..........the real culprit was the bolts. They were waaaayyyy to long and gouged out the stamped steel strut/spring topper McBob. SNOSK was right about the 2 inch bolts they are plenty just tighten down good. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Lesson Learned<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< 2.5" = destructive 2.25"= not good :o 2.0" = just right!!! Incidentally, Nissan Mart.com is the best for the strut tower bearing that will be arriving and still will be installed...They are made by KYB and are 12.39 each the stealership wanted $67.10 for part number #54325...here is a link KYB Bearing Thanks all for your help and pleas feel free to PM (even to tell me how dumb i was)with any questions or if you want the 3/4" or 1" steel spacers
  8. I think I saw it recently..that a WD21 had put it on and did a sharp write up, pics and all...but I didn't know what the advantages were...
  9. I thought that sarcasm was free?....never mind that is Pezzy! I do not however know of the book by Tim Leary (didn't he play baseball and bean somone with some sort of file or liquid in his mouth against the Baltimore Orioles years ago?? ) Incidentally, by the time you say Inagoddavida (and hum the tune either ou tloud or in your head ) you can indeed find out if you are Nissan LSD equipped. Besides my friend, I understand from a few remarks here and there that the factory LSD is no good...the real question is "What are the advantages/disadvantages of a Lock Right locker??? :contract:
  10. Rocky Road, and I qoute "9/16"" (left) Local custom steel 3/4" (right)
  11. ...........Feelings, Nothing more than Feelings............... If I knew that transmoto would have been giving up his sweet Path (found in vehicles for sale) I would have never put on my OME Kit and spent the time on mine I would have sold and traded backwards fast!!!
  12. O-K got my spacers...painted them (for protection) and installed them schaweet! Sorry that I do not know how to post multiple pics... ps...those are 255/70/16 Wheels and tires...call it foreshadowing!!
  13. I am certain that I saw an "official" price for a rear hatch at a whopping $1100...this was a "deal" as it was being presented!! Anywho if you want the truck fight MR Pickles is right!!! I have a yard near me that has a hatch...it is green and it was an SE...let me know I will do what I can to get it for you.
  14. Heres the only catch that I can come up with...you can scan them and what not, but what material would you put them on?? On the R50 the gauges are lit up from ehind...so you need to be able to let light out but not let it go back through them--did that sound confusing???
  15. Lol Ha ha ha...nossir, I got the one for my path, just that they do need painted..I like my black grill!! So are you talking about the extra chrome that is on the "inside" of the light towards the grill? Does that look like enough to mess up the install? having never owned that year I would think that there would be enough room for the flex...otherwise bust out the dremel drill!!
  16. Right on...let me know what kind of paint you are going to use...I am sure that you will scuff and prep and all, but I too have to paint mine for the '98. I was thinking a Rust-o-leum satin might match the grill on my truck...the flat may be hard to get bug juice off of!
  17. That's funny you mentioned getting rear ended w/it...in a Circuit City pkg lot I had some old dude in his '05 Chevy conversion van beat my trucks rear end....the alarm paged, I hustled out and saw just a scar on both sides of the bumpers rubber--said he was sorry he walloped my truck...I was happy anyway, as I am sure that the factory bumper would have been crinkled plastic!! I even thaink that i could buff up the scratch dent in the rubber to look like normal used again!!!
  18. I just ordered the clears for my 98...I got the black grill so I will have to wrap up the chrome too! The hard body did have a chrome grill, maybe that is why they are chrome?? That hard body front end swap on the pathy looks awesome!
  19. Almost ready! Carpet and sub left!! Whoops, can you tell the front windshield has tint?? I have doctor proven super photo-sensetive eyes! 'Lil help w/multi pic posting!!!
  20. Complete underside...foil never all comes off!
  21. Building 3 The foil is the best way to mold to your shape without sticking to carpet and other work surfaces!! Plus when you are married to a Puerto Rican you learn that Aluminum Foil can do anything, just ike West Virginians and duct tape (Stickable Chrome)
