  1. I have steel lines coming for my truck, I have seriously thought about the cross drilled rotors, my rotors only have about 9K on them they should be near new...I just want less heat fade and less spnge feeling. I did the line on my CRX and it was a formidable improvement. here is a link to ebay for the lines...this is a good price.Steel Lines
  2. Yes please, update us!! I did not take the rubber off, I sanded a bunch, primed as much, and just used a smaller brush in the tight areas....I seriously love this bumper guard!! I bought rear back up lights today for the truck too!!
  3. Transworldmoto...the goodies keep coming in the mail, I can hardly bare to think of losing her for even long enough to get the 'folds put on!!!
  4. This thing was on Ebay listed as a front bumper gaurd...I got lucky no one else bid on it!!! $60 shipped...then I did the work...here is a close up of the finish; it is rust-oleum hammerd black
  5. Ouch, sorry about the LE...today I just installed this, after stripping priming and painting for protection from nearly (hopefully never) the same thing!
  6. Did anyonespend 15 min pulling screws and greasing their speedo set??? This is a ommon problem for cars that last...we really should respond here..."remember the newblood"
  7. Snosk...thanks anyway as I am really hungry for feedback on the likelyhood and outcomes!! Lewisinc...you have proved in the pst to be an invaluable resource...this is a great idea...THANK YOU! I know a couple guys that work at this stealership and they are very col even minded guys, but when it comes to clout...well they lack but they are great guys none the less. I am definately looking to use whatever resource that I can...I don't want to have that bill at 120K--I know that I will still have my pathy then too! Thanks for all the responses and please do not hesitate to continue responding..this will help me and any newblood in the future!
  8. I know that we have tried to cover this topic several times... My truck is at 93K miles plus now and I do not want to run out of my chance to get these manifolds replaced. Is there a way to know if they are leaking or not for sure and if they are not can they be made to leak, so that I don't get screwed at 101K miles???? Running out of opportunity to have them replaced is my biggest fear as i can't do this repair myself and the cost is staggering. I am afraid that what I think i hear is valves and that my local dealers would just turn me away since it may not be leaking. I know they are going to leak and it is just plain dumb not to get them swapped before the 100k is up...........can anyone help?
  9. Do the fan...have I said that enough yet?? That fan is hott, or is it cold? Anyway it is well worth all $ and efforts!!! (pounds on table )
  10. All my OME is on the way Hooray!!! I'll post and take as many pics as possible!!! Shocks, struts, coils, spacers!!! OME to the hilt, OME built!
  11. Dude near me at an Autozone has a 2004 Fronty, nearly same noise he is going back with a little steam since he has on ly put 14k on truck...I'll let you know any info I get if I get it first!!! He seems to blame the bottom of the motor for this noise but i agree it sounds like a V6 chevy kackling!! My truck 98 Pathy sounds this way only when revving under no load as the RPMs fall in about the same range she has a light (really light ) clicking. I just figured my valves need love.
  12. Now guys, go easy on me...but............... I have an 1988 Honda CRX ......that did this to me, crazy a** tach...so hear me out!! Lol. Take out your gauges and put some fresh di-electric grease in the electrical connectors. The old grease has probably gave up and now makes an environment for a static'y response so give'r a clean shot of grease and see if that doesn't help. If you want to "clean" the connectors just use a small piece of high grit sand paper and lightly scuff the copper connections then grease it down!!! --K--? Try it, this may be the most simple yet most annoying repair you have to do!
  13. Hey guys I contacted Rocky-Road outtfitters today...they have the spacers now and they are $19 each for a 9/16" spacer...my order will be processed Monday for OME HD front coils, OME medium duty rear coil, OME shocks and struts, and the RR spacers...will def post pics hopefully a week from now with the outcome... :allclean: ...had to bathe i think i pee'd myself with excitement!!! sssh
  14. oh God, are they only 1/2"??? every other site quotes from 1.5" to 1.75" Yikes anybody with the OME set up please ring in here and let us know what's up with the OME set up. I was planning on buying the "medium" Old Man Emu set up from rocky-road outfitter!!!
  15. KMQAR, (or anyone else) :help: please give me dimensions on your spacers...I think can get these made locally out of steel. Please also tell me what bolts and nuts you use to bolt them to the truck.
  16. Check this out... Flash Flexy Thingy I have not yet ordered any of these and i know there will be somebody that must defend the tough of the truck, but i think it is hott anyway!! Flexible LEDS!!! I know (or at least i think i do) that 88 will dig this if he hasn't already heard of them!!
  17. just in case you are calling a bone yard...they may call it a "core support"---can someone verify that? I am not sure if that is onl on uni-bodies or not.
  18. I pray that this post stays alive. :asleep: I really really want a set of spacers and have no access to materials. I have a place near me that i have yet to visit called "Maryland Metals" they fab springs and all sorts of other things, just don't know enough though to know if they can fab spacers. Where do you buy teflon at and would 9/16 make a real difference or should you try to get a full inch? Please guys don't let this slide by the wayside!! Too many of us are willing to do such a thing to our pathy's. I am def. getting the OME lift, but I really want to be quoted from another post elsewhere here!!
  19. Personally, I think it may benefit the site more if we followed up on Pezzy's business card idea....I know, i know.... no one likes things left on their vehicle and maybe I am a geek but if i didn't find this site i would be ecstatic to see this stuff here!! now for stupidity...how in the hell do i send a contribution to become a member (serious responses only as i know anybody could use cash!! )and does anyone here actually make the sticker/logo/decals for the site that i can order from? thanks...as i think of as all of you as my own relatives
  20. NICK!!! In the year i have owned my R50 i have done nothing but get more and more jealous of your truck! I really dig the burg pathys, and the spare tire carrier...i saw the first pics of your lift, then tires, now tires. I am planning on buying my OME in the next 2 weeks..I have 255/70/16 and hope to find a sweet hook up on some 32's myself. Do you think that they will fit with the "1.5" inch lift from OME or do i need larger?? Again great pics of your truck man...lookin strong!!!
  21. Yeah maybe a swaybar end link. Me thinks that the solenoid to pop the galss would be too cool.
  22. Hagerstown...where I-81 and RT70 cross each other...are you close?
  23. Stink?----> whew, my 1988 Honda CRX with a VTEC mtoor and no cat beats me up at stop lights...I think though that my FPR is dying and thus not leaning when it should...but no doubt that sh** stinks! My car did pass MD emissions without the cat but i do happen to have a crazy expensive high flow cat in case i get harassed. ps i do like the "pop-pop poppop" that she makes when i down shift!! :secret:
