  1. The last time 88 posted this I hussled out and did this exact thing to my fogs, the difference was well worth the effort!! My factory fogs with Sylvania silver stars are just awesome. Mind you I have 35% tint down the entire front window and i still consider them quite bright!!!
  2. Thanks for the positive spin XPLORx4, I have to sell an Integra to get the cash for the kit and for wifey's rims but i don't anticipate it being to far in the future!!!
  3. ok so it seems about a 50 shot would be good...i kinda thought that i could get away ok with a 75 because it is a 6 cyl...and apparently quite durable since they do supercharge them The only way s-charging could even be cost efficent for Nissan would be if the stock parts were capable of handling this pressure on a regular basis with minimal adjustment to other external engine parts.....is there a consensus here? i still haven't heard or seen anyone trying this...i really do just want this for interstate enjoyment...ok and maybe to try it in small quantities on a durable engine before messing anything else up!!!
  4. oh yeah? :o Really? no takers, huh? well don't talk turbo then!!! bump! :allclean: --cause its hot in MD!!!
  5. I have a very fast CRX that is NA, my Alty keeps me happy also...but the poor poor pathy is getting the worst rating from me. I want (need?) more power from my engine...but not much, just that umph that i am looking for when merging interstate or chugging up hill with my AC on. I will be purchasing a dry kit as that seems to be the best for the truck...has anyone else done this? Can you reccomend a dealer and/or brand to stick with along with any tips and tricks you may have? Thanks Chris
  6. that is very funny, i didn't know that (wife/husband)...flareless that's funny too ..i mean no, no its not I may be trying the pacer flares, but i want stock flaps first. i will indeed post the result.
  7. so has anyone tried any aftermarkets then other than the EGR brand?? Those Pacer flares look pretty good if you finish them with flaps. CRAZ4SNO...(i really wanted your attention)which brand aftermarket do you have??
  8. Ok, that ws not actually the posting that i read, but it may have ended up on the Altima forum........anyhow is there anyway to know if it is functioning well, as opposed to just fuctioning??? Thanks for posting your link anyway!!
  9. I searched and searched and searched, now i am tired. I thought for sure that i saw a post on our site about the coolant temp sensor being replaced (part of normal maint?) and better gas milage was attained. This would make sense since the ecu reads temps to see what condition the truck is running in ie cold, warm, hot hot hot. If i am stupid, not the first time...at least i don't think? ehh i've been : wrong!!! Where is it located on the VG33E??
  10. I agree with Pezzy and MZXtreme...that Red is crazy hot!!!! The Chrome strips are great too.
  11. I love my auto, i save the shifting for the trickier car in the family!!! I saw on an Altima sight that you can bore out some sort of bearing in the tranny to make her shift significantly quicker. Does anyone else with an auto think they shift very slow (Nissan's in general)?
  12. flawless.... ................ impeccable  ...................................bavarian! the only concern i would really have is water ?seal abillity?, there is nothing worse than a car that leaks water!!! I have bought 2 cars right from Manheim Auto Auction...I am sure that my Pathy has been wrecked, but not totally sure about the wifes Altima (01)...it was described as having "frame damage". It was a company lease car, and i have yet to find any part of the car with a different shine, shape, extra age on it, or any frame pulling stress marks...nothing!! Poor Pathy has a re-shot hood and pass. fender, new grill and chrome bumper.....all i can do is chuckle and wonder how bad she must have looked. The "frame"-work underneath and around the radiator looks great. I bought her for $7000, it needed only a new windshield and rear bushings. JJBIGSHOE do you have a paypal account?
  13. Maritimeman beat me to it....PB BLaster and heat work great together!!! Tha hammer thing never seemed to pan out for me but the blaster and heat work like a charm!
  14. 88 is right. put anything on the bottle to get results...longevity is in the hands of the user though so do not get addicted. -alcohol- there are many mags out there (yes, i am another Honda loser) that have stock honda civvies with a fresh intake, header, exhaust that are only gaining like 30hp and 20ft/lb and spent well into the $1000 range getting just that little bit. I have performed this action on my 1988 rex ($300 ICEMAN intake, $400 HASPORT header, $650 RS*R header-back exhaust), the ole' butt dyno says i probably did gain 35hp...but danm i spent some loot! :furious: ...CAMS on the other hand, always produce, and as far as i can tell JWT is no slouch for quality. Thought of the same option after i feard tuning the X's S/C engine, but for the cash invested I could get into the Infinity QX4 for minimal payment change ('01+ of course to get at that 3.5).
  15. agreed, i have watched many of these engines already go by on EBAY, for about $3500 plus shipping...i can't tell simply by looking at pics if they wouild fit at all....but a haynes manual should be of some help!!! ***this is a hint to anyone with that type of money!**** :secret:
  16. As much as I hate to get in this one , since i can't keep my hands off any car i own, I'm with you on that one Big Johnson! I really don't want my standard 3.3 to blow (and it won't it only has 88K on it) if it did, it may very well be my delgith to drop the xterra/fronty engine in... ...'course computer and a couple of extra wires i'm sure!!!
  17. this is an indirect answer...does anyone think that this could be the automatic hub dust cover thingy that there was a post about a month ago... ...this dust cover would actually generate noise while braking...thus you are correct it is not actually the brakes but the dust cover that is sandwhich'd in there!!! 88...you're the pro here!!! Maybe you can remember the post to search for a lnky-loo!!
  18. kmgar99, you can remove them but you'll have holes through your fenders then... if you do elect to take them off let me know...I and many others are interested in them!!!
  19. I have also been shopping for flares...they are near impossible to find and even tougher to get...i never found these before in my hunting. IMHO i think that they look pretty sweet, but it may take some real examination to figure which ones to order!!
  20. I sent that @!*%e to everyone that i know that is one to never be forgotten!!!
  21. I checked out what you posted and they are cool, but i want more of a bulky look like these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...sspagename=WDVW drillling...oh well the side marker can cover if i mess up!!! or i'll make louvres
  22. I really dig the side marker on the older terranos and would really like to have a set for my pathy...anyone know where to buy a set???
  23. WoW!!! happy birthday indeed!!! I guess my next milestone is 30....some grey hairs already invading the goatee!!!!! "This is just no good!" enjoy being 21 man it all does go way way way too fast!!! Chris
  24. you can definatly see the "shoe" before you remove any springs, and the shoe last quite a while...they are really cheap so if you think they need replaced just buy'em my first drum brake job was just last summer, and i bought a new spring kit for the set up...really handy they were all color coded so you could not= place them wrong...also if you have a camera phone it will help!!! in addition...check the little "wheel cylinders" my crx had a bad one, goop and grease everywhere and the brake was doing next to nothing...very easy to replace except for the whole bleeding process. nice Villans by the way!!!
  25. http://www.lubedev.com/smartgas/ more acetone research
