CDN_S4
Thanks man. My gas mileage did not change from the lift. I replaced my brake calipers and have new axles, this has helped my gas mileage as before my brakes were slightly touching the pads. I can get 400km out of a full tank on highway type driving, but only 350km in town traffic. Obviously it's not quite as "good" as stock, with the upsided tires and added weight. But overall I can't say there is a drastic difference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Lol So about 250 miles per tank(thanks Google, lol) , that's better than me, I get about 220 ish before I fill up, I blame my steel wheels, bugger tires, and cracked manifolds, but you have the VQ right? When I was rolling stock, I got 300miles to the tank! That was awesome! Lol -Kyle
CDN_S4
I have steel wheels also, and 33's. I only have a VG. Wish it was a VQ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

But my exhaust manifolds are cracked, but I struggle to see that being such a huge issue. I average around 13 ish. Grrrrr -Kyle

Causing them to show that it's running lean. And dumping extra gas in to compensate.

CDN_S4
Some pics of a run my local club did today. It doesn't show in my pics but some of the terrain we went over was more than I expected my old pathy to handle. But not even one hesitation, she climbed up rock walls when all I could see was blue sky. https://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08/15/e77ee2789a788836e3bc1d3022849e59.jpg https://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08/15/aa4e3b4a5224d15ac7c97cc151aec0b6.jpg One pathy fell victim to hydro locking... https://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08/15/061a216017a4d746369e2d0b20c660ae.jpg https://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08/15/86e1c93caabb89809fee29152800bf7c.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ferrariowner123
Love that last one, love the green and mud combo, should have been a factory option! Might have missed it, but what else is in store for her, or at least planned? -Kyle
CDN_S4
Thanks. I still have plans for rock sliders, hood louvers, putting the spare tire on an angle and the jerries to the sides of the tire. A custom exhaust and body work for rust repair. Maybe a snorkel. Would have been handy today. Had to take a bypass through the woods, which was SUPER rough, rocks and roots everywhere. bushnut
now that you did your SFD, what are the numbers? ie approach angle, ground clearance @ front diff and at rear diff, as well as rocker height
CDN_S4
My approach angle has little to do with the SFD but rather with my bumper. It's an easy 45*. For the other measurements, ground clearance in the front, my lowest point is the front cross member where the skid boots on, 11", 10" at the control arms, and 9.8" at the center of the rear diff. Ground to fender in the rear is 39" and that is with my spare on the back. An easy 40 without it. Front sits at 39" as well, with the bumper and winch obviously. Lowest point under the chassis, is the cross brace, measuring 17.5". Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

CDN_S4
Installed the panhard bracket today. But I don't think I'll be able to mount the second screw as it will be so close to the edge that it will likely open up completely. I'll see how this holds up with just 1. I might have to add a bracket for the bracket. And I picked up a Smittybilt trail shade a little while ago but never actually deployed it until today as I decided to work on the pathy outside in the yard. hawairish
I wouldn't drive it with that 2nd bolt in. Put whatever you can on it, even if a smaller dia. bolt...you need to sandwich it as best as possible. BTW, yours looks relatively bolt-on. My experience installing one this morning was far from it...I was extremely pissed at it. I'm writing up a product review now...maybe you can validate your experience on the write-up when done? Neat canopy! Will the lift gate put some stress on it when opened though?
