Kingman
My first thoughts when holding a new set of Pacesetters for a Pathfinder were "Really? Are you serious?"
k9sar
Does anybody have any pics of there pacesetter headers installed? I just wanted to see how far down and back they go. I'm getting ready to order a set. My installation
R3DN1CK
What a PITA. Way to discourage a man from wanting to install headers.
GrimGreg
Yeah, some people have bad luck with them, some of us don't. After 3 years mine are fine aside from a nice patina of surface rust. The "high heat paint" they put on them just can;t handle exhaust temps.
adamzan
You mean the light dusting of econo spray paint they give them.
Simon
You mean the light dusting of econo spray paint they give them. I concur. I had mine on for about 5 minutes when the smokeshow started as the paint came off. Other than that, they were fine on my truck, and I had no installation issues, save for broken studs, which weren't the fault of the headers. k9sar
yep. my paint was gone the first time I fired her up after the installation.
GrimGreg
Mine turned colors after the 10 minute drive back to my Mother's house, but was completely burnt off after the 2hr ride to my house from her's. BTW, what have people done to shield the fuel/ breather lines from the headers? I took the factory manifold shield and put it between the headers and the lines. It was ment to be a temporary thing, but haven't come up with anything else.

Simon
You can get one by PM'ing Rob ( Alkorahil) above you. He works at a dealer, and, as his sig suggests, is our resident "Nissan Parts Pimp"
andreus009
I got the ceramic coated Pace Setters...a little challenge on the install but they seem to be holding up okay.
jwmyers23
Thanks for your help. I got an egr tube from a friend that works at the local nissan dealership. Oh and no more leak. It's surprising how well things work when done right.
madhornet
my Pace setters have been on for 2 years up in Canada in the salt and they are great never had an issue installing or since but if i had the xtra cash i would buy the thorleys because of the ceramic coating
jwmyers23
I didn't have any problems installing my headers. I think having the 2" body lift helped. They work great and are holding up the same. I wish I could say the same for the rest of my exhaust. It leaks every where.
