  1. Hey, whats the diff with a 97 and an 04 R50 Pathy diff? I want to put the 97 in the 04.
  2. try driving around jerking it around in first gear with the gas pedal in other words start it in gear with the clutch in but make sure you are clear of objects if that doesnt work in a few tries then it has to come apart
  3. my pathy just started doing it i put in the lower trail arm bushing because it would do the death wobble at around 70km or 45mph but there was no shimmy now that i can do 140km with no wobble all of a sudden after 2 months it is doing that shimmy thing weird
  4. my 90 v6 ran for 8 years with the egr capped its still running
  5. sounds like timing belt jumped or stripped or distributor bad clean around #1 cylinder spark plug(front one pass side) use an air compressor to blow the dirt away from the hole if not then when u remove the plug all the dirt will fall in the cylinder next follow the plug wire back to the dist. and remember where the post is and remove the dist. cap then rotate the engine by socket on the crank till the dist. rotor button matches up to where the #1 post would have been on the cap and the #1 piston should be at top dead center if its pointing in the opposite direction turn the engine 180 degrees and again the #1 piston should be at top dead center with the rotor button being at the #1 post for the dist, if the rotor button will not line up at top dead center to the dist ccap #1 then your t belt if bad
  6. i had a buddy with this noise it was the t-case chain worn out remove the rear axle to confirm cause those front cv axles and drive flanges dont wear out cv joint will only make that noise turning
  7. the shocks are the culprit... not to worry i have had mine like that for years
  8. u can do anything but once u add the balljoint spacer u are gonna break cv joints and i even dropped my front diff
  9. i had one fail the very next day i installed it got to work and it was leaking was not happy they gave me another pump and it lasted years but sucked doing the job 2 days in a row i risked reusing the belt and left it on when i changed the pump
  10. i have had some do and some dont
  11. the ticking is an exhaust leak or possibly a spark plug wire jumping fire that would explain it being erratic and the lower noise is not a good thing but may hold on for a bit
  12. i had a bad intake pipe on a couple of vehicles from the MAF sensor to the intake when the engine shifts the broken pipe was sucking air around the break instead of through the MAF so the ECU was confussed
  13. crappy lookin but wont cause u any issues
  14. ive done a couple and had no problems
  15. 2 jacks might help and at least 2 people and the engine mounts dont need to be touched
  16. actually it did not come loose the wheel bearing is just getting worn so keep an eye on it but you should be fine
  17. get a rad before u burn yourself BAD cause it hurts like nothing else then u can refill it on a steep incline run it for over 5-10 min with the cap off while u keep topping it up till its full
  18. if it aint asphalt dont worry
  19. im sure thats all it is cause they are trained to replace anything LOL i have had strut mounts do that also sway links and a ball joint all make the same sound
  20. dont forget to replace the distributor cap and button they burn up bad on these v6 nissans also clean your Maf sensor i gained 5mpg after i cleaned mine
  21. my 95 pathy does this and when i change the cluster it will fix it as i have done it a couple of times already the 94 and 95 have known issues now my 98 does this and i changed the cluster with a known good one and it did not fix it but my old cluster was ok in the other pathy so it must be the sensor in the tcase in this instance
  22. yes the impellers can wear down but not during the life of the engine LOL u just have air in it or the valve from the heater control is not turning properly
  23. ok mine was a problem with a valve under the intake plenum called the idle control valve its been a couple of years so i cant quite remember but i found a fix that used intake cleaner sprayed into a vac hose until the engine stalled then i let it sit for a few min and restarted it but still had the prob so i tried it again and in 2 years its been perfect ever since i cant find the write up but will look at what hose i used on my pathy also it can be removed and replaced but u need to remove the upper intake plenum so thats why i cheeped out on a can of intake cleaner and like i said its been 2 years and perfect
