  1. and the reverse issue was common there is a fix but its a very detailed fix not for the average wrench turner
  2. out of time either change the distributor or check to see if u jumped a cam or the crank with the timing belt did u get it like this or do any work or did it just start up like this one day?
  3. ok i dunno how to upload pics from rear mount flange to center of front u joint is 39 5/8" to front flange dust shield thing(4" diamaiter thing) is 41" and what fits inside is from about 41 1/2" to the end total length is 46"
  4. rule of thumb is use what u have in your tranny but i went 10w30 in my tcase even though i had an auto tranny its too cold in the winter here for 80w90 in the tcase it is so thick it will turn the front drive shaft and try to engage the auto hubs in the cold for a daily driver i would have used the atf but it is for hardcore offroad so i wanted the thicker protection cause i run 33"s posi up front and locker in the rear

  6. air and fuel filter i have also had to clean my maf element also had the air tube from the maf sensor to the intake crack and yes a leaky exhaust will loose power especially noticeable from the cat to the engine

  8. yeah just found out my 98 is back by the fire wall under the blower motor with 4 wire connector the 97 donor truck had it behind the glovebox with 3 wires i do have another 98 donor truck for parts but have to drive to go get it thanks everyone for the fast help!!!

  10. ok i will try his motor i have it too but i was told everything was done by the switch?
  11. so i put in a used heater switch that the owner said it worked fine but still i only have the hi setting working could he have been wrong or is there something else that can fail?

  16. YEP DISTRIBUTOR FIRST THEN CHECK TO SEE IT THE TIMING BELT JUMPED ALSO THE WOODRUFF KEY ON THE CRANKSHAFT THAT KEEPS THE HARMONIC BALANCER IN TIME CAN GO BAD GOODLUCK

  18. great pic that makes it easy LOL... i have done this and it is a very slow process but it does help it was an easy 8 hour job with 2 very skilled grease monkey's
  19. you should be using 5w30 it will have more lube capabilities in the cooler weather for the lifters at start up also i have a pathy now that has been doing that for 8 years almost every start up
  20. what u are describing sounds like a leaky injector or possibly a bad temp sensor do a search on here as these Nissan's have a self diagnosing ECM Goodluck
