  1. is there any gaskets to replace if i remove my valve body?
  2. yeah my buddy had his 98 come loose we re torqued it and it was fine for months locktite is a good idea
  3. the temp gauge is the single wire that is beside the temp sender (2 wire connector)in the top rad hose housing on top of the engine remove the single wire and ground it to the housing and if your wiring and guage in the dash is ok it will go to FULL temperature reading not half or 3/4 but full if it does then that means u need a new sensor in that housing if it does not move then the wiring may be bad or the gauge and if it moves some or partially then it is only the gauge.   4. rare for the torque converter to go and u had to do this on your back for hours not with a hoist
  5. speed sensor still has nothing to do with the tranny with the transfer case yes but not the tranny
  6. what does the speed sensor have to do with anything? he was asking about the tranny?
  7. timing belt is trash probably jumped its timing or some one put a new belt on after it already broke in that case there are bent valves
  8. the other diff is the wheel arch it is diff there is more beef between the door to the wheel opening on the 2wd's and less beef between the 4wds its not just the bulge trust me i have owned 9 Nissan's between 1987 and 95
  9. nissan sells a smaller oil filter that will screw right on by the headers my local dealer only sells like 4 oils filters for all there vehicles i just buy the smaller 3.3l oil filters for my 95 pathy
  10. my Pace setters have been on for 2 years up in Canada in the salt and they are great never had an issue installing or since but if i had the xtra cash i would buy the thorleys because of the ceramic coating

  13. nope dont drill and tap get better at welding or get someone who can do not drill u will be in a mess

  16. its about 6 hour job to put in the diff drop but it helps i have put in the ball joint spacers and yes they will ruin your oem upper control arms i had to strengthen mine after they cracked in only days of use i have not been able to afford any aftermarket UCA's but my reinforced oem's are great after 2 years now in total i am 3" up in the front with re indexed t-bars and the 1" spacers
  17. my 110amp quest alt produces 60amps at idle LOL and 110amps at 3500 rpm but a little more work but and i think your old one was only 60 amp
  18. i have changed two of those hoses and never removed a thing so sorry to hear that u tore it all apart for a 15 min job, long needle nose pliers were all u needed also what are u asking if u marked the belt and cams and crank never moved why would u be asking if the previous person did it right? or did u mean it does not work right after u put it back together? if so remove 1st spark plug on pass side confirm it is at top dead center with a screw driver or something in the hole then confirm cam marks match with case marks then count 40 teeth between cam marks and 43 between drivers side cam down to crank sprocket mark marks on belt make no diff just make it easier for grease monkey's LOL
  19. to the left or counterclockwise will lean the fuel mix clockwise will richen the mix do not do any adjustments until the engine is up too full temp 10 min at least and turn a half a turn at a time to smooth out your idle and yes it is your imagination it will not affect mid or top end power or acceleration

  21. ok i need to know if i need to remove or drop my front diff to remove the engine? also i have a 97 manual engine to go in my 98 auto and it is missing a wire connector on the pass side valve cover area from the main harness from the firewall my replacement engine has one less 4 wire connector am i ok without it?
