  1. Why so many speakers? I'd really like to hear this setup blast!! Can't wait to build my system in the future after seeing that! Jose
  2. I'm alos interested. And the dual alt setup too!
  3. Quick question. Is there any special kind of grease to use? I have a spare shaft and boots, and am about to do this, but wasn't sure if there was a recommended grease. Jose
  4. Nice QX4. Like that color. So, keep us posted ono the status of the Pathy (I say this because if you end up parting it out, doubtful, but if you do, I got dibs on the driver side fender). Jose
  5. A good way to do it: Make sure your A/C is off and heater is on full blast (this should also be done when you drain the radiator). Find the little plug on the top of your intake manifold (don't remember exactly what it's called). You'll remove the plug while you fill. Once you see coolant come out of it, replace it (this pushes any air out of the block). Continue to fill the radiator until it's full. Run engine until its warm or you see the water start to flow. Wait a minute. Shut engine off. Top off if needed. Replace cap. Drive a block or so. Wait for engine to cool down. Recheck water lever. Top off if needed. Done. Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jose
  6. Very dangerously safe to the point that it's safe to say that the year has 365.25 days in it!! Did you check it when it was cold or warm?
  7. Yes, I do. Gosh I hate it. Sometimes it doesn't even roll all the way down under it's own power. I was planning on taking them apart, cleaning and re-greasing the gear stuff, but it got too cold. Jose
  8. This is also what I do. No need to drop the arm for me! But great to see more write ups being done. Maybe a bunch of people could do write ups on common and uncommon jobs, start a sticky, and just post them in there. Have the job title at the start to make the search easier, you know? Or maybe not? Jose
  9. You're on the board..I've seen you!! I NEEED MY FIX!! Ahhh!!!
  10. Very Nice. I might just copy you. I have a scrap peice of aluminum strip just waiting for something to do... Jose
  11. I have that same eBay filter!! Although mine is blue. Very nice. I left the bottom of my air box in the truck to support it though. Jose
  12. I have seat right next to you! I'm also curious to know how you plan to avoid blowing your CV axles. Very interesting. Your setup in the rear sounds cool. What year/model Jeep springs did you use? You have caught the interest of many people, so don't fall off now! Jose
  13. Your best bet would be to get a junked Z31 turbo to use as a parts car. All the turbo components will swap right on. You can use your stock tranny. Swap to the z31 flywheel and clutch and starter motor. With the stock Z31 manifolds, you run into the issue of firewall clearance ( a BFH should do the trick) and then the stock turbo location hitting the steering rack (uncomfirmed as far as I know). Then engine management becomes an issue. I've been talking to a shop about this. You can go full stand alone if you want (money) OR you can get the Z31 ECU, and wire it inconjuction with the stock R50 ECU or just run the Z31 ECU by itself re-wired to control everything (theory). Problem here is you have OBDII, while the Z31 is OBDI, or even OBD0 (I can't remember off the top of my head) so emission becomes an issue (if you have this). Z31performance.com has a lot of info on turbocharging the VG33E (although its for the Z31. You have to search for it, I won't do it). Also, another idea (since you have money) is to do a VG34E. Basically you get VH45 pistons out of a 90-94 Infiniti, and use VG30DE(TT) connecting rods. You have to bore your block 0.060 over (machine shop can get the exact measurement) and you have to fly cut the pistons for valve clearance. Also recommended to P&P the head, and use VG30E Camshafts for best results. This can net you about 230-250HP. Then turbo it!! Good luck and hope this little info helps. Jose
  14. VG parts? Where?!?!?! Only a few for us VG33 guys (and most of it is modded VG30 stuff!!). This looks cool. I know that the throttle body spacere is pointless, but ading that with this...hmmm...maybe. Probably not. Cool product though. Jose
  15. Um, I believe it was tekaz (Tyler) who was hit. Unless I'm dyslexic and can't read, in which case I should stop now before it shows even more... Jose
  16. I took the clip from the stock airbox, drilled a hole in my filter housing, and put it in it, then attatched the hose to it. Works for me! Jose
  17. Wow, That sucks donkey balls. I dread driving here when it rains. Glad you're OK and were able to drive away uninjured. As far as insurance goes, don't know what to tell you that hasn't been said. Also, do you have to get a police report for stuff like that there? Jose
  18. Exhaust manifold cracked maybe? Not uncommon. Jose
