  1. Compare the 33's with 2" lift and 6.5" lift, and looks like you need some 34's now! Maybe even 35's on some 10" wide wheels, my friend. And conforming with post guidelines, here is my update: Year: 1996 Lift: Negative (it sags) Wheels: Stock SE 15x7 with 4.25BS (I believe, maybe 4.5?) Tires: 265/75R15 Bridgestone Dueler AT (30.60"x10.43") Notes: No rubbing at all and has plenty of room to clear the strut. Jose
  2. No, not really, asits the same as the WJ coil. It will fit, but as Andrew said, it will be real tight and may make popping noises. I'm going to see if I can get a set and try it out. Jose
  3. weathertech makes great stuff. if you call them and describe your needs, they should be able to help you out. Or, you can make something. Use like shower pan liner from home depot (sells for about $5 per 1x5 foot section, linear). That willkeep water and sand out. Just need to do something about a side wall to keep it on the liner!
  4. I know what you mean. I just adjusted mine, and they twist. I can see how this would be a problem with keeping the stabilizer in straight alignment all the time. I wonder how you would remedy such a thing? Jose
  5. Just wanted to bring out another spring available to use that is close to the WJ. The stock rear spring on an R51 has 16 1/16" height (taller than the 3" WJ), ID of 4 5/8" (same as WJ) and an OD of 6 1/16" (can't get any closer than being exact). I found out by inquiring over at the site of many R51's. They answered pretty quickly. One thing is these are stock springs. SO they shoud be not so stiff, although I suspect they will be stiffer than ours being they are made for a bigger vehicle. And, you don't have to cut any pig tails off of these (assuming you'll do like Andrew originally did). Just throwing this out there. Here is the thread with pics of measures. http://www.thenissanpath.com/viewtopic.php?p=30561#30561 Jose
  6. Wow. just saw this. So any new test results? Jose
  7. No size,, huh? Well, mine has BM50 on it also, so maybe they are the same size. Oh well. Guess Ill go find one to see if my wheels will clear the brakes. Jose
  8. Yea, I know that. Don't want the bigger brakes cause then my 15x10's will be useless to me! I just want the master cylinder. So, since you have an 01, want to tell me what the number on the side of it is? Jose
  9. So I know the 3.5 R50's have bigger brakes (and maybe the 99.5-00?). So I was looking at the brake master cylinders from them (well, pictures) and noted that they are different (as far as the lines are placed). For you VQ guys, does it say what size the cylinder is? I'm wondering if it's bigger than the 3.3 guys (I have a 1", which is actually pretty big already). If so, would make a nice upgrade for me (not that I would need it, but better braking is always better). SOOOO....have a looksy for me when you get the chance, please? Thanks! Jose
  10. in time. i noticed it a couple months ago when i changed the t-belt. too bad i didnt have time to wait to change it (it was 3am when i found it). And the oil filter is small. my old Sentra 4cyl uses the exact same oil filter (and the exact air filter, too. Talk about sharing parts bins). tripped me out. Whatever. I'm more upset about the location than anything.
  11. Thats what was popping in my head. i just couldn't remember it exactly.
  12. I don't fully understand the blends. I've never used fully synthetic oil before (except for Royal Purple in my old RX-7,and that was all I ever used when I owned it). I just put syn blend in my wifes Mazda Tribute which had 70K miles on it. Just with the blend I could feel the difference after only a couple days. Wonder what it will look like when I change it. I am also worried about switching to synth. in the pathy. I have 170K miles, and leaks in many places (cam shaft seals, both rear main seal, valve cover gasket under the manifold, yada yada) and worry about the 'sludge' that keeping it from leaking even more (although when I switched to Penzoil it started to leak more, but the ol' VG33 ran smoother). So I may just use a blend. So, to the Topic Starter, if your worried, use a blend to start. Jose
  13. Really all we have is the ARB. I think there was one more available, but don't remember the name of it.
  14. Black Panther is no more.
  15. Reverted from my 15x10's back to my stock 15x7 SE wheels. Put some Brigestone Dueler AT's on them in the 265/75R15 variety. Not new, but better than the steel belts my 31's were showing. Waiting on taxes to get my OME setup and get some genuine 32's for the 10 wides. yay me! Also changed oil, clean filter, straightened fins in radiator, removed bent fog lights, and found a blown GR-2 strut.
  16. Our rear end is mighty beefy. If people ca shove these and use D44 rear ends no problem, then we should be able to also.
  17. This is what I was trying to find. Thanks! I have 31x10.50R15 now on my 15x10s, so I know it will work. Just didn't know if the tire was closer to 32 or 31 in the 15" size. So now I know I can mount these on the stock wheels no problem. I didn't want to mount them on the 10" wides because of the streching (already stretched nicley with the 31x10.50's, and it's pushing it).
  18. So,I have scoured the internet and these forums. Tire manufacturers say a 265/75R15 Tire can fit a 15x10 wheel. I just got these tires used (my old ones were showing the steel belt. ouch!) and Don't think they will clear the strut on my stock 15x7 SE wheels. My assumption being these are closer to 32" than 31", although a tire calculator says that a 15" is 31" and 16 is 32". Can anyone confirm these? I would like to put these on my stock wheels so I can mount real 32's on the 15x10 since I'll be getting some OME springs at the end of the month (anyone have these for sale?). Thanks guys! Jose
  19. No problemo. Yup, good old P-Twn. I know how that sound sounds, too. Jose
  20. It should be spring, sprint hat, notch facing the engine, strut bearing, strut mount, with the corresponding letter (L or R) facing the engine and lined up with the notch. Jose
  21. To clarify. The black cap on the hub needs to be removed. It's a little hard to get off, but it is just pressed on there. Behind that, you will see the CV shaft. Holding the CV shaft will be a C-clip. Remove c-clip. Hub comes off. Jose
  22. Once a month! No. Kidding. Hell, 15 years if you keep the fuel filter fresh. Maybe even longer. My 96 still has the originals. Even people with 88's still have originals.
