  1. the inside of your manifold is so clean! Mine is all black. A thick black! Jose
  2. Looking good!! Keep it up! I like the 3.5 emblem in the middle. Nice touch! Jose
  3. I think he is just more concerned about removing/reinstalling the skids over and over. Wouldn't want to ruin those threads, now would you? And, I hear its an anoying pain in the ass to do. I would love to have a oil relo kit so it would stop spilling on my damn steering bushings (even with putting a bag over it, some still gets away). You VQ guys don't have to worry about that, though (damn you Ty for becoming a VG traitor!! LOL) Jose
  4. Or check to see if the axle seal is not leaking. Could have a small leak and the brakes are burning the fluid. You never know till you take a closer look. Jose
  5. I always wondered this, too. Just never cared enough to ask. Good to know now though. Great work NPORA team!! Jose
  6. Recomend OME springs if you don't want too much lift (be sure to do the front also or you'll look like a hot rodder with no weight on!). Jose
  7. that looks so awesome!! So...what you gonna do when you wheel? get some metal covers?
  8. Actually, the VH45 part was done long ago. He just changed routes when he decided to SAS it.
  9. Why convert to 2wd? He can get chevy 4x4 trans. He'll need the chevy axle, which is OK since it already has 6 lugs to match the rear. The punpkin will be on the opposite side from stock, but that don't matter. Its very doable. And a chevy trans is really not that much bigger than the Nissan one. I say go for the 350 man. being that its carb'd, you won't have to deal with the electrical gremlins, so in that sense it'll be easy. Hard part is mounting it, but if you have basic fab skills and are good at welding, should be cake (if you're not good at welding, find someone who is!). Jose
  10. Anybody every contemplate removing all the emissions crap and blockng off/plugging the left overs? I ask because I don't have emissions testing nor a visual inspection, so I don't really need it (screw the ozone! J/K). Also, the other day I had to replace the little 3 inch coolant line going to the throttle body, and had to remove the upper manifold to get to it (I didn't get it all the way off though becuase the lines attached to the back! Anybody ever get it off?) and the emissions crap is just plain in the way (especially the EGR valve!!). It would clear up some well needed room. Just don't know if anyone has done it before. I was reading about people with the VG30E in the 300ZX world have done it with no ill-effect (although they don't have CEL on most models). Thoughts? Jose
  11. Wheels. For the love of God they are wheels, not rims. Just sayin'. And that looks awesome. Removing your mudflaps will help a little with rubbing just ever so slightly (at least that worked on mine). And these tires, you say they are available only in Canada? Boo. Jose
  12. And you could keep your stock ECU If you just get a VG33 and swap over your accesorries. The only thing to watch for would be the crank shaft stub. Some are different lengths, although I think thats just for the 300ZX versions. Just a heads up. If that is the case, you would just have to use the VG33 accesories. Jose
  13. I think you mistake side rails/steps/nerf bars (whatever you want to call them) as sliders. Those factory ones will be cruched if hit against a rock. Just so you know. But, your next step should be Locking Hubs. Then whatever you want after that. Jose
  14. How did you keep up the tranny? As far as I know only one brace holds the tranny.
  15. Your assumption may be correct. The other SFDers may add to this. Jose
  16. Yup, mine had that. Took it out. Now I have oil on my manifold built up like never before. Seems to do it's job when it's in there. I would leave it in. Jose
  17. the one edicer said has the option for a power antenna hook up. so no worries! I may just buy this little thing. sounds promising. Jose
  18. Very Nice. Like the way all the black accents your pathy. What does the v-force allow you to do? Jose
  19. I was going to suggest the same thing. Wal-Mart(eh), Best Buy, any audio shop, crutchfield and so on sell them. By far the best is JL Audio (in my opinion/experience) JL Audio Crutchfield Jose
  20. Very nice. You may be "young and dumb" but that is one well thought out setup for sure. Where did you get the amp from anyway? That is no setup to brush off. 2 12W6's push hard, my friend. I put 2 13W6's in my friends bimmer (don't remember the exact amps, think they were slasher series), and when we played it for the first time, it literally took my breathe from me. Awesome in pure form. se
