  1. Mines gold with a factory colar palace flat black two tone...Yep,race pathy...
  2. Do not just put the gasket in,you do need to seal it with Gasket selac compound...
  3. Check you frame yet?

  4. Bah,you folks just dont know how to drive on ice with swampers is all.Yeah they suck but as Pinky stated all M/T's suck.So get Boogers or Trxus's or Iroc's.Iroc's are a great tire on rocks. And from the photos the guy posted it doesnt look bad,a All terrain could do that with out a problem. But if you want the best/most aggressive tire you can buy get boggers or irocs. As far as road noise?Have you ever heard Mud grapplers, ground hawgs and Pit bull tires? They all sound the same.
  5. All of it?ok... Rusted passager side frame, rusted driver side frame, Cam seals. New brake pads in front. Adjusted rear drums(Red showed me how a long time ago) Full fluid change(not front diff, but yet the t-case) Water pump. Redid the bondo on it...everyware! Other then the tranny problem and the seals its been a real good truck for the money considering it was owned by a crack head before me who smashed it up in the front at one point. It was bought as a beater to last me a year or two. Currently needs a new tranny and maybe head gaskets and a rad.
  6. As far as lift and tires? A body lift will probly do.Tires, since you need a nice aggresive tire for traveling where theres no roads, get a Super swamper, tsl, bogger or Trxus(trxus is the cheapest but nearly as good as the tsl)If anyone say anything else there wrong, for a mud tire there isnt a better one out there then the ones offer by interco(superswamper)
  7. X,prefurable the blown one for extra get up and go.
  8. Well there not Blazers, there s10 blazers... Theres a huge diffrence between tbi and true fuel injection... Huh,really your going to talk about rust on a truck they havent made in 20 years?Does this not go to show you that the truck has been on the road for 20 years and is still going.Hell theres plenty of blazers and b2's that bodys are rotten to hell but there still on the road, why would that be?Maybe they didnt need there frames repaired when they where 5 years old like Nissan's did in salted area's.Maybe that could be it?Naw thats not it,its the fact that its a bunch of hill billys that dont know that america doesnt make anything worth owning. The fact is that Nissan has been stealing ideas from other brands for years. So why would you go out and buy one when you can get a better deal on a american brand. And I know your going to come back on and say Ford never offered a front posi unit, well your wrong since I owned a 86 b2 2.9 with a 5 speed and 373 gears and Ttraction-lok diff's front and back. And yes,it had the removable quarter flip windows.A idea a hell of a lot cooler then anything Nissan has ever put on there pathfinder.
  9. Yep there sure did run tbi units in the 80's.Ford 4 poopers had them(2.8 v6 was carbed,2.9 was EFI) and blazers had them since.88 was the first year for chevys TPI on the 4.3,you could still order old style tbi until 94 in the blazers though.
  10. Why not patch it with high pressure rubber hose and hose clamps, duct tape and some of that stuff that ends up on your wheels after hitting a plump squirril?
  11. Then I was wrong on the Honda engine comment,I dont really care for the new style(vortec) gm engines so I dont keep up on them. But I didnt know they made that much power below 3k,would be a good truck engine.
  12. But dont marine engines usally come with diffrent cams then car engines?
  13. Chevy would made it if not for the piss poor driving of the guy behind the wheel...
  14. Harlys are ok(your talking about there v-twins right) and they get pretty good milage when tuned right(50).But yeah,I find that cafe racers and rice rocket riders are genrally more apt to talk about there rides. The new age Harly people are uptight yuppie ass's for the most part who ride around with cell phones clipped to there Dennis Kirk(ahell hole to work for btw) knock off leater chaps. Straight 6 engines are ok in my book,as the hobit mugger said v6 usally make more power per cc and run smoother but straight 6s has a very distintis idle to them and can make balls of torqe off idle(talking about ford 300's here)I've driven a few of the fomo i6's(my grandms had a 92 f150 5 speed) and it was gutless in the higher rpm but down low it had some balls.(the 2.93 gears didnt help)
  15. I ran low 20s at freeway speeds with 245s,a glass pack and 4.6 gears.
  16. would 13s even fit?tinny pizza cutters and a NissanPath.com sticker on back should make for one happening ride.
  17. Didnt they do this exact thing in a mag a while back,I'm nearly sure of it.
  18. I like my slot hood...although I'm missinf a slot so it looks like its missing a tooth...
  19. It depends a lot on the tranny,I'm not sure about nissans but late model 5 speed chevys and dodges its cheaper(and 6 speed fords) to get a used tranny put in,mainly because there such a pain to get out and take apart for the job.Nissans shouldnt be that bad because its a old truck(old style parts are usally cheaper then new style parts)And the reason the 4th gear went out is High rpm shifts in to it,thats that only reason I've seen a sync go bad in a tranny(unless it has 250k+ on it,then its just tired out)
  20. Also, the frame rust, your state just sands right? In the winter you dont salt your roads? If thats the case it shouldnt be a major problem, but check just the same because the truck may have come from a bad state like minnesota...
  21. You have to be fully stopped to engage the 4wheel drive though, they say they can be shifted into 4x up to 25mph,but if you try it you'll get a bunch of bad grinding noises,if your in low you have to stop, but it in neutral and then shift, and you have to back up to get it to shift out of 4 wheel althogether.
