  1. over 200000 miles... perhaps I should check mine
  2. got mine from rockauto. cheap and easy to replace.
  3. that's how I broke my door handle off. Damned door was frozen shut and I was trying to pull it open. Good news though, they are easily replaced and only cost a few dollars from rockauto
  4. My next move would be to pull the #1 plug, slip a long screwdriver in the hole and carefully turn the engine by hand until you are at TDC, then look to make sure the rotor is at/near plugwire 1 and not 180 off. Usually not an issue unless you removed the distributer or suspect a belt slip but it's a fairly easy test and the problem sure sounds like timing/firing sequence to me. Also, you can check to see if you are getting spark at the plug itself (yea, I know... new wires) by holding it against the block while someone cranks it (without the screwdriver in it)
  5. The throttle position switch and throttle position sensor attach via harness to the ECU. I would expect the supply voltage to come from there.
  6. damned near ran off the road when my radio decided to temporarily work while I was driving this morning. My son had turned the volume knob up quite high trying to get it to work last time he drove it.
  7. I married my cupholder. The seat doesn't get wet with my drink anymore but I get this strange screeching sound from the passenger seat when I drive in traffic. I had solved that problem with the anti-screech knob on my radio but, now that my radio has completely failed, I'm thinking the spilled drinks are a better option.
  8. we're all idiots at some point but collectively, as long as we all aren't idiots at the same time, we can be a pretty smart group of pathy owners
  9. yes on the head bolts and make sure you get the manifold studs for the 300zx and not the pathy. They are threaded the same but better material and less likely to break. The part number is on the forums somewhere... some searching on stud and part number might yield you answer
  10. if the pump is pumping, air on the lines won't matter other than to delay the starting until fuel gets to the injectors. Any air would force through the injectors or the pressure regulator and back into the tank. It is not unheard of to have a bad fuel pump. I have received 2 dead in a row for my old dodge and learned to test them prior to installing by jumping the 12v and sticking the pickup in a bowl of water. Yea, flush it out with gas before installing. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Good luck resolving the problem.
  11. perhaps moving somewhere further south may help.
  12. filled it with hay and pumpkins to deliver to a nursery. Need a leaf-blower to clean it out now
  13. There is so much crap on FB, I tend to glaze off stuff and could easily miss an important post by a fellow NPORA member. I prefer to keep my worlds separate (for the most part)
  14. Greetings Lemmy! Good to see someone else with an older Nissan..
  15. swapped marker lights, corner lights and a headlight with a neighbor who was trashing his pathy. The corners are chrome instead of black but it kinda looks interesting (until I paint them)
  16. Listened to my new front tires rub when I had a passenger in the truck and made a turn. Guess it's time to crank the T-bars again
  17. I dumped a quart of naphthalene (Coleman fuel)in the oil and ran it for a couple days. Similar to those who add ATF and more aggressive than a motor flush.
  18. yep. a rear ladder from a terrano similar item:
  19. Sorry dude, I don't read Canadian news. The only thing I saw crawl across CNN was that a guard somewhere got shot. no offense intended. sorry you felt the need to take it that way.
  20. I may need a bunch of little ones. I can line them up under my drivers side window... one for each Canadian I've run over
