  1. replaced the drivers side lift window motor. I was driving home on Friday and put the window down (one click, all the way down) and I heard a thunk and it kept running. Tried to put it up when I got to Home Depot and all I hear was the motor. crap. Calling for thunderstorms all weekend so I grabbed what I needed from the store and headed home. Pulled the motor and regulator out to take a look and saw that the rubber insert in the gear that eases the transition between the motor's worm gear and the regulator had ripped the center out and was just spinning. Of course, you can't buy just that insert so I had to find a replacement lift motor. The only one available that night was 30 miles away at an AdvanceAutoParts. Did not recognize the brand but it was my only option and it was only $40. Read 3 reviews about the holes not lining up but I'm an engineer and a little fitment issue doesn't scare me. Turns out that the plastic housing that encloses the end of the lift motor is made differently and interfered with the bracket holding the regulator. Break out the dremel. Got it all installed and decided to check it before I put the glass back in and the panel on. Hit the auto-down to get access to the bolts for the glass and the traveler ran to the top and jumped the track. Crap. Pulled it back out and managed to ease the tension on the cable enough to get the traveler back on the track. Hit the 'up' and the thing ran to the bottom. Nice... the damned connector is wired backwards. Ok, simple fix. I released the pins from the connector and swapped them. Reinstalled everything and got it back together just before the sky opened up. Then I had the pleasure of writing an online review for the window motor that was am "exact fit for my 95 pathfinder". I wonder if they will edit it before they post it, if they post it at all.
  2. collapsed lifter. ticks until it pumps up
  3. yea, they were tied to the low beams so you couldn't blind any oncoming drivers with the high beams + fog lights. I rewired mine to be independent of the other lights completely. I also recall there being a fuse holder built into the fog light harness that ran under the hood along the passenger side of the engine bay. Might check that on yours
  4. banned for making fun of nunya's lisp
  5. banned for over-emoticonning (is that a real word?)
  6. just glad I wasn't hauling the logsplitter that I was supposed to pickup that afternoon. I never buy the optional damage waiver unless I plan to beat the sh|t out of the thing
  7. don't suppose you have a tranny cooler installed, do you? Have you checked for any codes from the trans control module?
  8. threw a receiver on the 07 Odyssey to get the logsplitter back to the rental place (needed one anyway for my bike rack). I have to pickup some 3/16 steel at the local welding supply shop and the Pathy will hauling rice-burners out of the snow again this winter
  9. threw the trailer receiver in the back end after the mounting brackets finally rusted through and the damned thing fell off while my son was driving.
  10. I have the same config with the JGC springs etc. My pathy squeaks like an old U-Haul trailer when I drive. One of these days, I'll need to crawl under it and hav ethe kids jump up and down on the bumper.
  11. not sure about the R50's but mine leaks from the pressure sending unit (need to replace it) and from the main engine seal (too much work for the amount that is leaking) Best bet is to get under there with a few rags and wipe everything down. Run the truck until the engine is hot, then get back under and look for the leak. If you still can't tell, you can sling some baby powder or flour around to give a light coating, then run the truck until you can see where the oil is coming from.
  12. I 'clogged' a cat before... it was on a 71 pinto that I ran so hot (slightly modified engine) that it melted the honeycomb interior into a big lump of solid blockage. Talk about back-pressure.
  13. banned for flying a union flag in a confederate state
  14. well then I would definitely do the o-ring thing then add a leak detector to the system and see if there is anywhere else your refrigerant is going
  15. welded the upper heat shield back on my cat so it didn't make a hellish rattle sound every time I stopped at a traffic light
  16. My AC is always working.... sometimes it just means Air Circulation when I open the windows
  17. my EGR valve was clogged with mud one time and threw a code.
  18. I can't imagine the rear ABS is necessary for normal function though I wonder if they will pass it for inspection if there is an indicator of a problem with the brake system. hmmm... do I fix it with a piece of black electrical tape over the indicator or do I really look into the issue...???... hmmm......
  19. k. thanks. I glanced at the diagnostic and saw the connector ground but didn't read much more because the family came home and I had to put my toys away and do yardwork.
